I was excited because it seemed like they had quite a variety of different things. After walking around the store, I realize that most of the items are very overpriced for a discount retailer. Some items are retailing for higher than the prices that you would see at your local superstore. One item if you look at my picture is a Nerf toy, which is somehow retailing for more than the MSRP, unless I'm reading the labels in reverse, but you can look for yourself. It's kind of interesting seeing what comes through the shop however with these very high prices, it's very hard to find anything. That's a good deal. As others mention, most of the food is expired, which should net a heavy discount, but I don't see it reflected in the prices. If you're looking for someplace to walk around, this is a great place to cruise, but I don't think there's a lot of of good hidden deals here to be found.

First of all -- EXPIRED FOOD ON THE SHELVES. This is completely unacceptable. There were multiple food items clearly past their expiration dates still sitting out for customers to purchase. That is a serious health concern. It's obvious that basic inventory practices like FIFO (First In, First Out) are not being followed at all. Food safety should be the bare minimum expectation, and this location can't even manage that. The organization (or lack of it) is shocking. There are boxes of product sitting in the aisles, making it difficult to even walk through the store. Merchandise is scattered on the floors. Items are thrown onto shelves with no care whatsoever. Nothing is faced properly. Nothing is arranged in a way that makes sense. It looks like a stockroom exploded and no one ever cleaned it up. Someone trips and falls over all of this product and boxes in the aisles, Dollar Tree will have a major law suite on their hands!! The floors are absolutely filthy. They clearly have not been properly cleaned in a very long time. Dirt buildup, debris, and sticky spots are noticeable throughout the store. It gives the entire place a neglected, unsanitary feel. It doesn't look like a store that's cleaned daily -- or even weekly. The overall presentation is embarrassing. You can tell that no one cares about how this store looks, and it honestly feels like no one has cared for YEARS. There is zero pride in appearance, zero pride in organization, and zero attention to customer experience. Even the staff appearance reflects the same lack of standards. The cashiers' uniform shirts were dirty and sloppy. It gives the impression that management is either nonexistent or completely disengaged. Clean uniforms and a tidy work environment are basic retail expectations. I understand that discount stores operate on tight budgets, but that does not excuse expired food, unsanitary floors, and complete chaos in the aisles. There is a difference between "busy" and "neglected." This store is neglected. Auburn deserves better than this. Customers deserve better than this. This location needs serious intervention from upper management immediately. Completely disappointed. Nasty. Unorganized. Unacceptable.
