We were in Fort Wayne for a quick overnight business trip where my wife and I decided to try Oyster…read moreBar after some locals raved about it . As a seafood lover, I was sold just based on the name alone The building itself is pretty cool. We were told it dates back to the 1880s and is the 2nd oldest building in Indiana behind some other one in Indianapolis. You can definitely feel the history when you walk in. The place is small, with only about 14 tables, and everything is packed in pretty tight, but that's part of what gives it character. The old bar immediately grabbed my attention and looked like it hadn't changed much in over a century We started with the Parmesan baked oysters, which were outstanding and surprisingly fresh for being in the Midwest The homemade clam chowder was loaded with clams and flavor. It was so good it didn't need anything added to it. We also ordered a couple of smoked Old Fashioneds that were a great way to start the night I wanted sea bass, but they were out, so I went with the walleye fish and chips. It's honestly hard for me to pass up fish and chips when they're on a menu, I'm glad I did. The fish was well-seasoned and on point My wife went with a seafood combo that included seafood au gratin, bay scallops, shrimp, crab, applewood bacon risotto, and baked in a lobster creamy sauce Being in Fort Wayne for just one night, this ended up being a great find. The food was excellent, the service was friendly (Shoutout Lindsay) and the whole place had a nostalgic feel that made the experience even better If you're passing through and in the mood for seafood or live locally, I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

We then ordered oysters casino $22 very good. Ended up getting the chef's special of , sea bass and halibut $60 small portions but very good. We ended up splitting the entree. The wait staff was outstanding in there serving . Gratuity is automatic of parties of 6 or more (20%) $143 grand total. We will be back!
