She also gives her honest opinion about menu items, without ever criticizing anything in particular, but definitely won't steer you wrong or sound fake about it. She was able to take what had started out as a bad experience and turn the situation around. We had an absolute blast and the food was delicious. All of the food came out very quickly. There was a complimentary starter of bread and oil. Our entrees also came with the choice of a salad or daily soup. The soup we received which was the most deliciously cheesy tomato soup I've ever had in my life. For the main course I got the tortellini pasta which was fine, but not special. At the end of the evening they kindly boxed up our leftovers for us. One of the only downsides is the small space which is a bit cramped and gets loud pretty quickly. Make your order, pay for it, and they'll give you a number and bring it to your table if it's busy. I was helped by a lovely young lady, we conversed in Spanish, and went to find a table. Silverware and napkins are next to the drink fountains. The decor on the walls is awesome, a mix of heritage/Latin culture with obvious military support - it's nice to see that. FOOD: I chose the Arroz chaufa (which is Peruvian fried rice) and a side of Maduros (sweet plantains). The arroz came with a small side salad which included fresh lettuce, fresh tomato and cucumber. The rice had scallions, carrots, fried egg, chopped rotisserie chicken, all stir fried together on a hot wok, and served as a very generous portion. Over by the drink fountains you will find two special house sauces there - the yellow and the green one. Both packed a punch of flavor and one had a little extra spicy fire to it. I can imagine how delicious it is with the chicken. The maduros were delicious. I used some of the house green sauce to add some fire to the sweetness. So good! Honestly though, tons of flavor without even having to dip into sauces - same for the arroz! OVERALL: Like I said, 100 stars. This place was bomb! Wish I could pick it up and take it back home with me. Would easily eat here every day if I lived close by and would be racking up them stamps to get a free meal.
