Listen, I feel like the bad reviews are coming from people that are not used to "northeastern" style Chinese takeouts. As a New Yorker- yes, love it! I don't order "odd" things that you would get from a Chinese food RESTAURANT--- I order what I'd get from a Chinese food takeout up north. Chicken and broccoli... beef and broccoli... pork fried rice... shrimp rolls. I'm not sure why anyone would order any type of platter? HORRIBLE CHINESE RESTAURANT. I feel that the food they sell is below even low quality. I also feel that they don't even eat the food that they sell, because the cooks are mostly Chinese. I will never go to this place again. I should have taken the bad reviews more seriously I don't know how they got any good reviews at all. The Pupu platter was less than marginally good the chicken and the beef skewers were so overcooked and burned they were not even edible the shrimp toast was overcook tasted horrible and wonton and crab Rangoon's were on the OK side. the egg rolls were nearly the worst I've ever had. they give a container of sweet & sour sauce. no duck sauce or soy sauce. the service staff was less than friendly. no hello, no smile. if I want to be treated that badly, I would contact an enemy. read more

The food was awesome until I noticed something out of the norm in my soup. I scooped the foreign objects out and put them on my soup lid and moved them around a little to see what they were. As I moved them around I noticed that there were little "fibers on them"...and then I realized that they were little baby cockroaches. I drove back to the store 10 minutes away from my house and asked for a refund. When I showed the cashier the little bugs she told me that it was pepper.......I looked at her and I said "pepper doesn't have legs, I want my money back". I have lived here for close to one year and have always drove by this place and never gave it a second thought as it looks like a place you could catch the runs. Tonight I was hungry for Chinese and after looking at over priced competitors I decided to gave Panda a try. Ordered sesame chicken combo with small hot and sour soup, the lady said ready in 10. Arrived, it cost me $10.04 for everything which isn't a bad deal. My drive was literally 1.5 minutes from door to Panda, arrived home and the bag was packed very nicely, they placed a cardboard wedge in-between my soup and entree. The soup and entree were really hot, I had to let it cool down. The soup was not at all what I had tasted in past restaurants, different taste, not in a bad way just not what I was expecting. The soup had a lot of good vegetables and egg, not very oily, and like I said I wasn't turned off. My entree again was hot, the carton was packed full of food, they definitely didn't skimp on the portions. The rice was flavorful with bits of pork and onions. The sesame chicken wasn't anything special, it comes with the reddish sauce not dark like I have seen in the city, big chicken bites, not very crunchy but again for the price and portion I wasn't disappointed. Mediocre cooking. Horrible customer service. They cook like they don't care and they act like they don't care about you spending your money there either. I ordered food for pick up. 15 minutes after I placed my order the cashier lady called me with an attitude telling me my order was ready and to come get my food. Little did she know I was in the parking lot. So when I entered she wouldn't look me in my eyes, wouldn't give me soy sauce, forks, a chopstick, nothing. Needless to say she didn't say thank you either. $30 for a box full of noodles and rice and a terrible attitude. Staff was very rude. read more

The food is good the prices are reasonable. A friend who lives locally found "something" in their food, but it hadn't happened to me, so we kept going. Over about a year and a half we ate here probably 30 times.... until I found half a large cock roach in my hot & sour soup. I've worked in restaurants and I know that some places have roaches. Living down south, I've even seen these disgusting large creatures try and come up our drains or bury in pine straw in the yard (then I went Raid crazy!). But totally unacceptable in my soup and apparently A LOT of people had this problem. Too bad, the food was great! read more

I'll echo what my husband, Eric P. just wrote and add a few points of my own. The portions are indeed huge. A great value for the money, for sure. I ordered Mu Shu Chicken, and it came in one of those aluminum containers with the clear plastic lid. They stuffed the container full of mu shu! Their menu states that 4 wraps are included, but they gave me at least 10. We also got an order of crab rangoons of which there were 8 and at least a cup of sweet and sour sauce to dip them in. I ordered some fried rice ( I really like to have leftovers so I tend to order a lot when we get takeout). I will give them props: the fried rice is definitely not over-oily. However, I have preference toward certain things with fried rice and this was different than my personal preferences. Not bad, just different. In fact, I think most people would probably find this fried rice different than a lot of chinese take out. At any rate, you may love it...not my cup of tea. The hours are accessible too for those late night take out cravings. They are open 7 days a week until 10 pm most days and 11 pm on (I think) Fri and Sat. The kitchen looked clean enough and the staff was friendly and courteous, though obviously still learning English. We live nearby, and this will probably become our go-to take out location. To comment on Lauren's review: I didn't see anything that would make me suspicious of the cleanliness of the restaurant, and there certainly weren't any "live foreign objects" swimming about in my food. I'm sad that Lauren had that experience, but perhaps the management tightened the ship a bit since 2009. read more

I sometimes get my food here because it's nearby. There's nothing fancy about this place, and that's what I expect from them. The kitchen is visible from the counter and it looks clean. I usually go for a fried chicken combo...sometimes the Gen Tso or garlic chicken. I call in my order, and by the time I put on my shoes and drive over it's ready for pick up. I can't discern the deliciousness of the food. It's Chinese food. It tastes the same to me whether I go here or some other Chinese place. This one is closer and nothing I've eaten here has made me ill. It's hearty and makes for a good meal. read more

I have lived here my whole 38 years of life and started going to panda wok when they opened over 20 years ago and loved it then and now. I have tried others when in a different area and have always been unhappy with what I got they are the only place I spend my money at and eat here sometime3 times a week they have the best and freshest food taste is great and have never had any problems of any kind they are amazing !!!! read more

We live down the road from Panda Wok so we order here a good bit. The food is excellent and they give you great portions! We usually get basic chicken with rice or lo mein and of course an egg roll. Absolutely the BEST Egg Foo Young that I have had in many years. No bells and whistles for the place and I don't think its designed for eat in- though they do have tables available for you. The food from this place is made as if you were to make it at home. I had the Chicken Egg Foo Yong and the eggs were not the chalky cheap scuzzy Chinese place style powder mix but instead were real eggs. The food is a bit lighter than most Chinese places as well so if you're looking for oily fried goodness, you may be better off somewhere else. The portion sizes are asinine. My single, non combo, order of the Egg Foo Yong took up 2 quart boxes and nearly a pint of gravy. It was probably made with at least a dozen eggs. For 6 bucks, I don't think this place can be beat for portion sizes, as this is definitely going to be breakfast tomorrow. The in-store dining is pretty cafeteria like, which from a quick in and out Chinese place is par for course. I wouldn't let the previous review from Lauren deter you from trying this place out as all in all the store was clean on my visit and my food was great. read more

I live down the street from this restaurant and have been eating here since it opened. Don't know if it is the best Chinese food in Fayetteville but it's good enough for me and its easily accessible from my home. I tend to stay away from the sweet and sour dishes because it is too sweet for me but others in my family enjoy them. I like the Lo Mien, dumplings, boneless spare ribs, and teriyaki chicken or beef on a stick. Restaurant appears clean and the staff are friendly. Be prepared to listen well when ordering. There is only one of the staff who works the front counter that speaks English clearly. Dining in is available but I rarely see anyone dining in except during lunch. This restaurant has never given me a reason not to return. They are my go to take out Chinese restaurant. read more
