After I found out that Sephora stocks Korres products I headed over to the new store in Fairview,…read morePointe Claire. Apparently Sephora Quebec doesn't stock Korres but Ontario stores do, due to packaging regulations (i.e language, as Korres products are in Greek and English) Completely ridiculous and another reason consumers will always find a way to buy elsewhere if they don't get access to what they want. So I can shop online at SkinStore.com and only pay 5$ shipping from the USA for an entire order. Apart from that, Sephora did have a great selection of brands, not all girly, if you know what you are looking for. Staff were very helpful and love to to direct you to the $150 creams (sorry couldn't resist). I would recommend researching the brands first though, many may just be in there because they have compliant packaging rather than really being the best brands you can buy. Many were missing in the store from the Sephora website. The prices seemed inline with elsewhere i.e. Dr. Hauschka prices were the same as Olgivy's, but again, I would compare as some products may have a premium attached to the price simply because you can't readily get access to that brand elsewhere in Montreal. Another thing that sucks is that on the Sephora website orders in the US over 50$ are free, however Canadian orders it's over $150 to get free shipping, Again, check out skinstore.com

We went in and did the usual Sephora split...she goes to see things for her face, and I go and check out the colognes. She left with her usual items of mystery...things that I do not know how or where she uses them...but she was happy. I did not get anything, but I have to say , the place was immaculate, the staff was friendly and the prices were lower than NYC.

The…read moreFace Shop is slowly replacing many Fruits & Passion stores across the country since they bought them out. It's a small shop with all kinds of cute, affordable beauty regimens in appealing packaging. Although it's called The Face Shop, they do have a limited selection of products for the rest of your body such as shampoo, body wash, lotions, hand creams, nail polish etc - they even have men's stuff. I'm very happy that they sell facial foam cleansers, unlike regular face washes, these produce a thick lather that traps away dirt and oil and leave you feeling squeeky clean. They were developed for hot humid Asian climates and I always had a hard time finding them in this part of the world until now. I've been using their "Herb Day Cleasing Foam" in Acerola (cherry) scent for over a week now, I love the fragrance and texture although it'll probably be a little too drying if you don't wear moisturizer in winter months. At 5$ for a big 170ml tube, this is a steal! For such a small store, I felt like they were overstaffed the day I went - I was approached 4 times in the span of 5 minutes, it can be a little overbearing when you just want to browse on your own. Note- they are working on their North American website that will allow online orders, it's supposed to launch this month.

BB creams, sheet masks, lotions, potions, creams, anything you'd like to slap on your visage to prep or prime before you slap on your warpaint; or remove it. The staff are all very friendly and eager to serve, the place had a big grand opening last week and was a veritable madhouse. Didn't purchase anything at the time, but will check it out further when the dust settles. Since I had a very good impression when I visited, found the prices to be very reasonable, the staff very personable,I'll give it a 5.

I used to come to B&BW once a week, just to see what's new and sniff some goodness. I also frequently shop at the ones in the USA and the experience is similar, always pleasant. Bath and Body works offers body washes, soaps, scrubs, body mists, lotions, candles, hand sanitizers and accessories that go with those. With a large fan base accross North America, their products are always changing and new packaging and fragrances are introduced every month. If you like seasonal items for Christmas, Easter or "beach" or nautical themes for summer, this is the store for you. However, many of their scents are repackaged and recylced under different names, as I shop there so often, I start to notice how similar certain products are. I find the products to be of amazing quality, they lather well, the lotions and creams are never too greasy and absorb smoothly, and the fragrances actually last. The candles are also some of my favorite- the classic 3 wicks burn flawlessly and scent your whole house. Do sign up for their newsletter as they send coupons and deals almost every day, also note that twice a year, they host a huge sale that lasts most of January and June. This is the ideal time to stock up on goods. NEVER, ever pay full price for their products as they are a complete ripoff. Small bottles of their products can cost upwards of 15$ but if you get them on sale throughout the year they are closer to 3$. Same with the candles, almost 30$ a pop, but on sale I always get them for 10$. You can test and try everything in store, I love their sink - always swing by to wash my hands! They also have an amazing return policy. They will take anything back if you don't like it for a full refund or store credit if you don't have the receipt. A girly girl's dream store really. Worth checking out.

B&B have both body products and aromatherapy; and, my preferred purchases are the sleep/stress aromatherapy products. Knowledgeable and patient staff will help you find what works for you. Also (as a plus and not a negative), I don't think I've ever been here when there's not been some sort of sale ($75 off or 3 for $15). The only drawback that I've experienced in this location is that the line up to buy here is often very long.
