LIFETIME "WARRANTY" IS A COMPLETE LIE!…read more I had Lasik at a TLC Eye Center a few years ago and was given paperwork that assured that the huge fee paid included a "lifetime warranty good at any TLC Laser Eye Center in the country" as long as I kept up the yearly eye appointments. Each year, my TLC-network optometrists have assured me that is still an option for me (3 optometrists in 3 locations) and that I can just go to the Greensboro location now. I call to schedule the consult for the revision the optometrist recommended--that she told me I was eligible for under the warranty--and they tell me I have to be entered as a "new patient" and RE-PAY all the VERY HEFTY FEES because the location I was at originally closed and they refuse to honor the warranty. I got Lasik so I wouldn't have to wear glasses and pay for contacts, and two years out, I'm back wearing both and they absolutely REFUSE to even consider honoring the warranty.

There is also an in house eye glass store. My surgery was done on the 2nd floor where they have a state of the art surgery set up. Staff there explained everything in detail prior to surgery and after. The anesthesiologist did a great job in making sure I was comfortable and pain free. My follow up today was also great. My eyesight is already looking great. All my questions were answered. I am highly satisfied with the entire process, including these assistance in securing financing for both surgeries. It all started with a 45-minute wait past our appointment time in the lobby, where there was a person screaming nonstop. This was never addressed by the staff, and it left my school aged child terrified--she wouldn't let go of me and just clung to me the whole time. During the appointment, the staff asked me in front of my child whether she was "jealous of her older siblings" and making up eye problems just to get glasses. This was not only inappropriate, but it made an already uncomfortable situation worse. Then, when the doctor finally came in, we were told my child needed glasses to see properly. We were told that our insurance would cover the appointment 100%, but they didn't cover anything because the office had processed the insurance incorrectly. I called multiple times, left messages, and eventually had to send a letter to get someone to address it. When I finally received the bill, the staff was extremely rude and told me it was my fault for not providing insurance that would cover the exam--despite being explicitly told my insurance would cover it fully. In the end, I'm left paying for an exam that was emotionally draining for my child and should have been covered by my insurance. The whole experience was frustrating, and I was really disappointed by the lack of professionalism from both the staff and the doctor. I would highly recommend finding a different eye care provider. We will not be returning to this office.

Vision Loft contacted me immediately and when one appointment was booked before I could respond, I was notified immediately with other options. The correspondence was swift, professional, and efficient. On the day of my appointment I was greeted very enthusiastically and Dr. Chen is just the funniest! Dr. Bonnie Chen, absolutely not. I have been wearing glasses and seeing specialist since I was in elementary school, but she has been the worst eye doctor I've ever seen. I am very nearsighted, have a decent astigmatism, retinal issues, and family history of eye health issues that could lead to blindness. When I would address my concerns with her, she dismissed them. She would tell me it is average life stuff that I wasn't having issues with. My final straw was when I expressed to her that I was having more troubles with light sensitivity - mainly when driving, but also when I was outside in general - even with the use of sunglasses. She told me it wasn't possible for me to have this experience because I have brown eyes. She then went on to tell me that I just needed my prescription updated (hadn't changed much), make sure my windshield was clean (already clean), and continue wearing sunglasses (still doesn't help). I went to my pcp and got a referral to another eye doctor. I'm glad I did. My concerns were finally heard and addressed.
