So when I wanted my great grandmothers ring refurbished to its original beauty I was confident if anybody could rework it they could but still anxious as the ring was well over 100 years old. When I went to pick it up I could not believe it was the same ring. The ring was made larger but other than that nothing had been changed with the original ring. The stones were sparkling when they were once very foggy and the brass of the ring was polished to a luster I would never have imagined. Such artistry on the part of the jeweler. This is the only place I'll go to get my jewelry fixed! They are awesome!! A few summers ago I was at work and my diamond ring prong felt really sharp and the stone was loose. I brought it into Mills the next day. George sat down with me, took pictures of the ring and explained everything to me. I needed a whole new crown. Mills did an amazing job with restoring my ring. The ring was from the 1920s/30s. My grandpa was a collector of antiques and he was given this ring by someone who lost their wife. He gave me this ring when I was 3 years old. Mills Jewelers is a GEM in itself right in Lockport on our main street near the historic Erie Canal. This place is amazing! They have a variety of jewelry that can be worn with jeans to wearing a elegant gown. The staff is professional, kind & helpful. There was a ring with my birthstone that caught my eye and heart that later my husband surprised me with, I get so many compliments while wearing it! I had a beautiful unique sterling silver necklace that I wore for years, it matched everything. The pearls were not real and chipping and the place I purchased it was no longer in service. I desperately went to Mill's to see what they can do and they exceeded all my expectations. They replaced the pearls with real pearls and my necklace looks better than ever! I had to get my engagement ring appraised for insurance reasons. For about $100 they examined it, gave me a book with multiple pictures and appraisal, checked the prongs and cleaned it. All in all I am happy with the service and would recommend it. read more
