Mr. Paul is phenomenal! There is no comparison in craftsmanship, in customer service, and in the price. He went above and beyond in making our rings super special. The wedding band was my grandpa's and he sized it and took the excess gold and made the trinity knot. He made both rings exactly what I had pictured in my head and I'm extremely picky. Super easy and quick service here with reasonable prices. We did have to ask for the plain rings since they were not on display with the fancier ones, but this was easy since you could look at all of the rings online before you went and just show him the photo of what you want. He thought to match the colors of the rings to the engagement ring and offered to have us bring the engagement and wedding rings back before the ceremony to have them cleaned one more time to make sure they were photo ready. read more

Had repair items dropped off and purchased other items. They never told us the work was completed, had to check with them ourselves. Asked for a jewelry box and was told that wel needed to spend $10,000; then we could have a box. If their overhead is so high that they can't comp a $2 box then Run don't walk to another Jewerler. read more

Be Aware: I purchased a diamond from this seller for around $5,000, only to later find out it was flawed after having it evaluated at another place on the boulevard. I felt misled and was only refunded $800, which is far less than what I paid. Since then, I've only purchased from other reputable sellers. I would advise staying away from this one. read more

Paul is an awesome guy... he did a watch case repair for me a while back so I brought in another repair and he did it on the spot in a couple minutes for a super low price. Everyone at Paul's Jewelry Designs is so professional, knowledgeable, and helpful! Though I have never personally bought jewelry from Paul's, I felt the need to write them a review on the basis of a few maintenance interactions I've had with them. The first time, I stopped in to get a ring that I hadn't removed in 5 years cut off (oops), and the second time I brought in a very delicate antique bracelet I'd purchased in the hopes that they could help me clean it up (I was nervous to do it myself because I wasn't 100% sure of the material and the bracelet was very delicate and I didn't want to bend it). I initially went into Paul's because I was calling around to jewelry stores in Amherst to see who had a ring cutter available; I had such a pleasant experience then that I immediately thought of Paul's again when I had another jewelry need. Both times these services were complimentary, which I did not expect and greatly appreciated. I would say that you can definitely tell the difference between customer service at a local business like Paul's as compared to other nearby chain jewelers. It's the type of service that definitely inspires loyalty, and I would recommend anyone looking for a jeweler try Paul's before heading to a generic Jared's or something where the environment is much more based on staff members trying to upsell you for their commission. read more

I don't often wear jewelry, but when I do, it has to be perfect. I am the pickiest girl in the world, so when my fiance bought me the most-perfect-ever engagement ring I was at a loss as to how I'd ever pair it with a band. After searching for an antique band to match my heirloom diamond with no luck, my jeweler pal recommended me this place. It's unassuming, I've driven by it hundreds of times. But this is a legit jeweler place. I am very leery of places like Kay's, Littman's and all those mall jewelers. They are just out to get me! Walking into Paul's you get very personal service and want to make sure you're happy. After trying on a few bands saying "this is nice, but not perfect" I believe Paul came out and said "we can change that!" I was all super excited and wanted to hear more. Eventually we decided to change the shape and thickness on a band I tried on. We went into the back room with crazy fancy jeweler computers and he measured my engagement ring band so we knew it would match. I waited a couple months for the finished product since I still had plenty of time before the wedding. The final product is beautiful and one of a kind. I love how the details on my wedding band match my engagement ring, it really makes a difference to me. I am also pleased how well they fit together although I didn't want them to be an exact fit so I could wear them separately. And finally, you can tell my band was a unique piece. There are perfect imperfections that makes me feel confident that a real person was putting this ring together and placing all the diamonds. I went to Paul after being recommended by my boss who had previously great experiences with him as well. When I went in I dealt with Paul who was more than courteous and extremely knowledgeable. It's nice to know your store owner will also be the one customizing anything you buy! I came over with a quote from a jewler for an engagement ring and not only did he beat it, he got me a larger and higher quality diamond for the same price. Plus, when my lovely fiancé told me her ring size she was way off. Luckily, the guys and girls at Pauls resized it for me in under 24 hours! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. My first time using Paul's and I was overly impressed. I dropped off my necklace clasp and ring to be fixed. I was hoping to have it done in a short time, before my vacation. They were able to get it done sooner than their estimated completion date. When I picked it up they were kind to my two young children I had to drag in, giving my daughter a little fake ring and sucker. Kind people, caring in their small business, and it showed. read more

I went in here expecting to be WOW'D. I was impressed but not wow'd. First off I elected to go here to browse the wedding band selection because a few friends suggested I check this palce out. After dealing with useless Jared (yes useless, I have been to multiple locations in multipe states of which all are useless they just want to charge something to your credit card then get you out the door) I arrived at about 6pm during one of the days they are open until 8pm. I was greeted by a friendly woman who seemed like she may have been new as she didnt seem to know anything or how to answer any question we had. After our questions were obviously not being answered the "new" woman was kind enough to realize she needed help and called an older gentleman over I believe was named Steve. This guy was very knowledgable but not a sales person of for that matter a people person. Nice enough but not a sales person, kind of made my fiance and i feel a little weird. Needless to say I like the fact they are a local company and they make custom anything. We ordered a custom piece and anxiously await its arrival. The outcome of the custom peiece will warrant an update to the review which I am sure will result in a better rating. read more

I was shopping for an engagement ring on Saturday when I stopped into Paul's. I was ignored, completely ignored the store was busy so I waited. Two clerks looked at me then looked away. I found a LOVELY lady but she was a bridal consultant and she went to get someone. I waited some more then saw a girl standing behind the counter I asked her for help she told me what she knew was limited and she could try. She didn't even feign interest. I had enough by this point and my Fiance said thanks for not helping we will not be back and we left. A sales person ran to our car and asked if we needed help which was pointless. This business does amazing work. My fiancé got my engagement ring from a vintage jewelry store, and though I loved the ring, I wanted to change the setting from yellow gold to white. After being told by the vintage store that my ring and diamond would be "ruined" if I tried to change anything, I brought it to Paul's to see what they could do. They built a new setting that looked exactly like the old one, in white gold, and it came out so beautiful. I'm so happy with it and so in love with my ring. I'm also so glad I brought it here since they were able to show me where there were missing prongs on the original setting, something that was never mentioned by the original store. It took a little longer for them to do the job than they quoted me, but it was well worth the wait. I'll be coming back here for my wedding band. read more

Yesterday I emailed Paul's not knowing if they would be able to help. With everything that is going on right now and all businesses closed I was in desperate need of help. You see my mom had been taken into the hospital and is receiving end of life care, but with covid restrictions we are not able to be with her. My mom gave me this necklace over 20 years ago. It's a gold heart nothing crazy and not worth much in dollars, but it means the world to me. I wear literally everyday and have for the last 20+ years. Well yesterday I broke the chain and I was crushed. I didn't have another chain that is small enough to fit the pendant. Bringing me to my email. I saw on the website that they were checking email. I sent the email explaining my situation. First thing this morning I got a response telling me to come to the store and he would fix it while I waited. I went and the man that came out to me in the parking lot said I'll be back in a few minutes with the chain fixed. He came back in less than 10 minutes handed me my necklace in a baggie, I handed him my credit card and he waved it back at me and told me that Paul said no charge, he said it was a gift. Tears filled my eye immediately because of the kindness they had shown me. He told me to be safe and thanked me. I had some old broken jewelry, but the rubies and diamonds were still good. I've been going to Paul's Jewelry Design for years for repair work and was always impressed with his friendly and very helpful staff. Now I was working with Paul on designing a bracelet with my stones. Paul did a beautiful job on the bracelet and even incorporated my dog into the design. I still had some stones left over and Paul made a stunning ear cuff that I absolutely love! Whenever I'm in the store, I feel like I am the most important customer, especially when dealing with Carrie and Steven. They are both very knowledgeable and always stop to say hello to me and my dog, regardless if they are waiting on me.
