Wonderful service! Walked right in and everyone was very helpful. I had a vintage Gucci watch that needed a battery replaced, and they were very transparent about cost, what potential damage the battery leaking could have had, etc. They are also extremely affordable. This place has been around forever and they run things the way all stores should. I bought a watch from them and it broke after warrantee. They went out of their way to ensure it got repaired without cost. Amazing. I have been back there to have several watches worked on....from simple band adjustment and battery replacements, to FULL servicing of a 44 year old Bulova. Prices are on par with the servicings and the band adjustments were free because I've been going there for over a decade. I would not hestitate to have any of my watch collection serviced there. The quotes for the work and timeframe were spot on with no surprises. They carry Breitling, Oris and several other brands of watches. At times they have some vintage watches as well. It would be cool if they expanded their vintage watch offerings as I know of no stores offering vintage/estate watches closer than Toronto. Our new jeweler is Scherer's Jewelers. Here's the scoop: brother/man of honor buys sister a wedding gift of a fabulous sapphire pendant but it's a wee bit too long. With days before the wedding, we attempt to bring it in to our long-time jeweler to be shortened, and barrel over to Lisa Hunter Jewelry only to find an "out of business" and "for lease" sign up!!! GASP. Good customers get NO notice?? Oh boy. On to reviews and calling Scherer's Jewelers with our sob story. "This business is open for another 57 minutes" read the notice online. "Bring it in and we'll have it for you by Thursday," said Mister Wonderful. We scurried over, dropped it off and upon the call "it's ready" brother went to pick it up a day early! And VERY reasonably priced. Absolutely wonderful to know there is a local, trusted, kind, understanding place of business in Snyder we can rely on for future needs. read more

Awesome awesome awesome. The only words I can describe this father and son run jewelry store. From first glance I could see a wide array of nicely crafted jewelry and watches. After being buzzed in I spoke to "the son" (sorry, forgot to read the name tag!) about having a pendant repaired. Even with the swamped work load, they agreed to quickly fix it for me on the spot due to the sentimentality I had to the pendant. I really appreciated the conversation and the workmanship was equally good. Coming from NYC, they reinforced the idea of Buffalonians being the nicest people in the states. I came across Scherer's Jewelers by a lucky chance. A few days before my wedding, my brother gave me a beautiful sapphire pendant on a delicate white gold chain. If I had to guess, I would say it was ~16" long -too long to wear with my wedding dress. I ran right over to my family's jeweler, Lisa Hunter. Dismayed, we saw her building was closed up and a "for lease" sign posted outside. Before panic fully set in, I did a quick Yelp search to find nearby jewelers -Scherer's popped up and it was a half mile away! I called up and explained my predicament and they were ready to oblige. I ran right over and dropped my necklace off. They measured to where I wanted it to sit on my neck and told me it would be ready in just a couple days, in time for the wedding! Thank goodness. Fantastic small locally owned Jewelry Store. Like other reviewers have mentioned, you do need to be buzzed in, which was quick and without hassle. You are immediately greeted with a very friendly staff who are not pushy and helpful. I was here for a battery change for my watch. The store is a certified Brietling seller and also carry Citizen, Ebel, and Oris. Prices for a battery change is very decent at 10 dollars and the gentleman who performed the repair informed me that had the gasket of my watch been in bad shape there's a trusted watch repairman whom they could send the watch off to for 40 dollars. Which given how much Tag will charge you if you send a watch to them to fix in house, this is a great deal. Overall, a very friendly, courteous and knowledgable staff. A clean and well organized store, although selection is adequate it is on the smaller side (it is a locally and family owned Jewelry store after all). Would definitely return here again for my future watch repairs and needs and perhaps look for Jewelry for my significant other. Definitely recommend read more
