Solid! There aren't a lot of food options on Peak's Island and when we have eaten here, I don't feel like we are "settling" either. It's restaurant quality food coming from this food truck. It's amazing what they can do in that truck. I normally get their burger and/or their fish. Each time the food has been fresh and made to order. The quantity is also very good for the price you pay. The time for prep is not too bad, but definitely build in time for some wait, if they are busy, which they usually tend to be. They have a few drink options, but not a lot, typical water and soft drinks. They have a couple of tables and chairs, but the shade is not that great at midday in the summer. All in all, I would definitely recommend this location for lunch. They will greet you with a warm welcome and smile while they serve up some great food. read more

Can I give 4.5 stars? This place is honestly firing on like almost all cylinders (I've been here multiple times before). In a search for sour dough pizza, we came upon Milly's. At our first attempt, I failed to notice that pizza started at 4pm (we arrived at lunch). The chef gentleman was kind enough to serve us up a slab pizza (in the oven)with cheese and marinara. Delicious!! We later came back for the regular wood-fired pizza and sat in the back. It wasn't busy At the restaurant, as we were kindly informed that busy nights may not allow us to sit there not as restaurant customers. (NOTE: you can order pizza from the restaurant menu, which we would do Next time. If this is confusing, know that Milly's is next to a lovely restaurant. The fries were also surprisingly some of the better ones, crispy and fluffy. Don't be taken aback by the location near the golf cart rentals. Even though it was tucked back in the lot. this is the first lobster shack u see once you get off the ferry at peaks island (right by the golf cart rental) so we saw a lot of ppl stopping by here grabbing a bite while killing time waiting for their rentals. the lobster roll was fine, nothing bad about them but nothing amazing either. we tried the original maine style (cold and fresh) and the captains style (warm with butter). i think i enjoyed the captains style more just because the ingredients seemed to blend well but they were both just regular lobster rolls to me. i'd rather spend the money at other spots just bc each roll is $30 read more

First of all, I'm very well aware of tourist traps. I get it. You run a business in an isolated town that solely relies on tourists. It's a seasonal business and you gotta make as much money as possible to survive the off season. But come on. This place is so bad. It's really bad. I got a double clam cake burger for $10. The "clam cake" looks like a thin hockey puck. 1.5in diameter, and maybe 1/4in thick? It really, really dry. It tastes like a potato pancake. It has zero clam flavor and/or texture. If someone told me that it's a potato pancake, I would've believed it. Even with out the seafood flavor, it's so overdone. I also got $4 small fries. Typical frozen. Nothing special. My friend got chicken tender for $7. I was expecting 5-6 frozen chicken tendies, considering that it's a touristy food place. Two chicken tenders. TWO! They did a great job at slicing them in halves. I guess that's a lot of labor. What is this? This is worse than baseball game food court. It's so bad. It's so over priced. They literally give zero f on what they serve. Why? Probably they know they got zero competition. I'm down to support a local, small business. People are willing to spend extra money for the local people. But how do you have audacity to disrespect generosity? How do you blatantly serve terribly overpriced food without shame? Zero creativity. Zero care. This is bad. Woman working the food truck was incredibly rude. We came during a lunch which we understand and we realize there will be a long wait. I went up to the window once it had gotten to be quite long though, just to ask how much longer. I did not call out to the employees, I waited patiently for someone to turn around and acknowledge me. Then I said that I was just wondering how much longer it would be. She gave an exaggerated, incredibly rude sigh, gestured at the inside of the truck, and then turned back to the grill without saying a word. I then waited there until she turned around again, repeated my question politely, at which point she told me in an extremely annoyed tone that my order was next up but that whenever people ask about their order, they are bumped to the back of the line. Notably, a few minutes prior, a man had gone up and asked the same question and was told he had about 15 more minutes without any drama. I am just shocked that they think this is a reasonable interaction between any two human beings and I can only hope that other people don't experience anything similar. read more

Spent an hour or two biking around Peaks Island and ended up at the Ferry Terminal minutes after the ferry left. Grumbling bellies, I searched Yelp and 3 sub-par food options came up. Milly's wasn't one of them (wtf Yelp!?). So happy we stumbled upon this little food truck gem! The menu has everything from blueberry smoothies to burgers, lobster rolls, and tacos. They even have a veggie burger. We got two orders of the blackened fish tacos (they come 2 tacos per order) and they were perfect and delicious and pretty damn spicy! Plenty of blackened tuna and covered in shredded cabbage with siracha aioli. There's a great selection of tables and chairs. It's casual and it's good!! If you're in Peaks Island and hungry, definitely stop by Milly's Skillet. I hope it starts showing up in Yelp searches real soon. read more

Got the Cajun chicken sandwich. It was a HUGE chicken breast (over an inch tall) that was cut in half horizontally. I couldn't fit the sandwich in my mouth. The chicken was obviously boiled and the only seasoning was they put on raw cayenne pepper after it was done boiling. I couldn't even finish the sandwich because of how tasteless and dry it was. It was served on stale bread, with pre packaged chipotle mayo, and with unwashed dirty lettuce and tomato. The lobster taco was great, but the cookie sandwich was not. I've never had one before I didn't finish, but my cookies were very undercooked and pretty bland, I had about half. The 7 yr old I was with didn't like hers either - only had a couple bites, that should tell you something. The lemonade isn't theirs and the cups were pretty small. Out of all my food experience in Portland, Milly's had to be the most average of them all. The wait is quite long because it's right by mikes cart and the closest to the ferry. We got the Brussel sprouts, lobster roll and two sandwiches. I've had better lobster rolls in the area and the sandwich wasn't bad - just a little bland for my taste and could have used more seasoning. The brussel sprouts were too salty and we couldn't fully enjoy them but the presentation is very nice. We got the lobster roll, Cajun chicken sandwich and a small fry. A $17 lobster roll from a food truck had me curious but when i got it i was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't on a tiny hotdog roll nor was it what i refer to as lobster salad (a few small pieces of lobster with a LOT of shredded meat filler). A serendipitous hit! When I came to Peaks for a couple hours visit I had fully intended on going to one of the restaurants/cafe but almost every single one was closed on a Thursday when I went. I inadvertently ran into this food truck and was pleasantly surprised at the menu! I had fried brussel sprouts with an aioli sauce, truffle fries and half dozen oysters. All of it was delicious. Another serendipitous element is that apparently on Thursday nights Jones Landing right next to the truck has a trivia night and a bar, so went there to sit with a glass of wine and watch a beautiful sunset right on the water, and Millies brings your food to you! read more

We were pretty hungry & just happy to have a seat at the landing to be able to eat our lunch. My favorite was the grilled cheese. Very cheesy & greasy in a good way. The fries were good as were the chicken fingers. The crab cakes also super greasy but not in a good way. There was little to no crab flavor. For a food truck in a very busy spot, they do a great job keeping up with demand. We waited probably 15 mins for our food, not bad. I have a house on Peaks Island and somehow have never eaten at this food truck/restaurant until this week. What a delicious surprise! After a bike ride around the island we decided to try take-out dinner from Milly's and were delighted by the menu, nice view and even better partnership with Jones Landing. After ordering we were told we could get seats on the deck at Jones Landing, order a drink at their bar and they would bring us our food. Ok we thought, this isn't just food truck in the parking lot. Great bar at Jones Landing, and the entire deck, bar, restaurant space was pristine. I mean this space, that hosts the rowdy drunkey drunkfest Reggae Sunday, might be the cleanest restaurant/ bar space on Peaks Island. The deck has amazing views and we were suddenly super happy! Then the food came, and things got even better! My buttery lobster roll was delicious, the burger was perfect, cooked right, flavorful and topped with fresh fixings, the chicken tacos were a happy combination of crispy shells with yummy slaw and well seasoned chicken and don't even get me started on the addictive truffle fries. I shamelessly scarfed most of them down myself. And the fried Brussels sprouts were perhaps the best I have had. Honestly this experience was a delightful game changer for Peaks Island. Jones Landing has the Deck and bar and Milly's Skillet the kitchen, together this is a delicious, fun spot to enjoy great food, have a drink and catch the sunset. I hope this partnership continues to flourish. They only caveat is you are eating on paper plates with plastic utensils, but I can overlook this when everything g else is so right. read more

Total surprise and delight to discover this place right off the ferry in family's first trip to peaks. Kids loved the egg sandwiches and grilled cheese and smoothies. Stopped by on my trip to Maine. Ordered a lobster roll (market price $18), chicken tenders and a hamburger for my family and I. Lobster roll came with toasted bun, and a layer of lettuce in the bottom so the bun doesn't get soggy. The lobster roll had great flavor but definitely lacked meat! The bun was really good but because of the lack of meat the roll seemed to be too much. Cheeseburger was fresh and well cooked. The best lobster rolls! We were on vacation in Portland and made sure we ate lobster every day of our trip, often in lobster roll form. This one wins hands down. The bun was hot and toasty, the lobster meat was delicious and plentiful, and the whole thing was buttery heaven. I got the smoothie with blueberries etc. which was very tasty too.
