This small boutique is behind Applebee's on Washington Road. It sits on the left next to the Chinese massage parlor. I was greeted quickly by the associate working. I gave them a head's up that I would be coming that day because I saw them post a beautiful distress denim skirt on Facebook and I actually bought that exact skirt. When you walk in the straight sizes are on the left and the plus sizes are on the right. The associate working explained this to me and the sales items were to the back. There is a dressing room in the back to the left. I did try the skirt on to make sure it fit properly and it did. Check out was a breeze. I was able to use a Yelp coupon for 20% off one single item. The associate thanked me for coming and told me to come back and I told her I definitely will be back. I can't wait to see what type of clothing they have for the cooler months. I really enjoyed shopping here!!!! I glad I was able to finally get to check them out. Even though I don't need any more clothes I can't wait to see what else I can add to my wardrobe!!!!

Think Evan Piccone, Chaus, Donna Ricco, etc. a few Michael Kors stuff scattered here and there. There are a lot of sales here, including coupons in the local paper, so be sure to check back often. There are some good shoes here, like Coach, Clarks, etc. The housewares are always fun to browse through. There's stationery and random decorative items for the house.

It was by Kenneth Cole and smelled amazing. Sweet and fruity, just how I like to smell!!! Next, we went into the accessories department. They have nice accessories by renown designers for really affordable prices. My friend picked up a few items in that section. It was a lot of merchandise to look through. We went to the men's department next. The style of clothing they sell for men was very preppy and my friend isn't quite preppy so he didn't really find any clothing he liked in that section. They had really nice underwear, t-shirts , and socks though. Those items would give any man confidence with their outer appearance, even though all those goodies would be tucked away underneath your clothing!!! We strolled over to the home goods section, which I didn't know they had there. They had a variety of things in that section. As we were checking out the merchandise, Lo and behold my former best friend walks right past us. Not knowing what to expect from her since we hadn't talked in over 5 years she greeted us with hugs and chatter. I don't know if she was being fake or was she actually glad to see us. Well we stopped shopping and held a conversation for a while. It was like we had never fell out. It was interesting because she was a person that got me. Like things I say or refer to she immediately understood what I was talking about. It actually felt good to chat with her. We talked a few minutes but her superior was telling her to go ahead and clock out, so that cut the reunion short. So we continued to look around the store more. I didn't even know they also sell bedding here as well. I like jersey knit sheets and I didn't see any here. The other materials in bedsheets tend to make me sweat and I HATE that, that's why I stick to jersey knit fabric. They also carry decent shoes here. I didn't see any bigger sizes but there was a nice selection. They even have some Gucci shoes here on clearance. They were very stately and modest, not our style at all. We also went into the lingerie section. My friend was looking for a waist shaper but they didn't have any. There was nothing exciting in the lingerie department. There was a lot of neutral colored undergarment and they were fashioned in a very demure way. My friend did find many things he liked and bought, mostly home knick knacks. This store is pretty decent for what they sell but it's for a much older and conservative crowd. Don't get me wrong you can find things that are youthful and modern but it will take some searching. I'm glad I was able to see my former bestie, maybe we can start on a new friendship!!!!

During this visit, my 14-year-old daughter needed to use the restroom. Upon exiting, my 14-year-old daughter was approached by security who accused her of smoking marijuana in the bathroom. My daughter called my wife, and when she arrived, my wife informed the security personnel that our daughter is only 14 and does not smoke at all. My wife then granted security permission to search and smell our daughter to prove that she could not have been the one smoking weed, which would have resolved the allegations immediately. However, instead of hearing my wife's words and conducting a proper investigation, the security staff insisted that my wife and family leave the mall, which was incredibly humiliating for them. After my family was unjustly removed, my wife called the police to document the incident. The two officers who responded stated that security should have simply used their sense of smell rather than making assumptions. This incident has left my daughter traumatized, having been falsely accused and unable to demonstrate that she neither smoked nor had any scent of marijuana on her. This was a deeply distressing experience for my family, and there needs to be accountability or compensation for the humiliation and trauma inflicted on my daughter. I request that these two individuals offer my daughter an apology for their error, or I will be compelled to pursue legal action, as this situation is entirely unacceptable

Pick a bin and start diving in to see what goods you can find. There are 12-15 bins placed throughout the store, so people are not stuck or bunch up together. - Friday and Saturday is when new inventory is loaded onto the bins - Wednesday is $2.00 day. Every item is $2.00 - Thursday is clearance day (which I think everything in the bin is $1.00) - Thursday has limited hours from 10 am - 2 pm because they clear out each bin each week. Items in the bin vary each week. I recommend checking their Facebook page because they announce the highlights that will be placed into the bin. Warning: There are no returns or exchanges on the item you purchase. I recommend checking it thoroughly. I recommend bringing hand sanitizer or gloves. The items in the bin have been handled by many people. I recommend washing your hands thoroughly when you get home.

After getting home and looking at the receipt, it had 14 carat ladies ring. And then looking inside the ring, it was marked 10 carat. The sales person should have told us that. Plus we paid the price for a 14k. Sales are final, so we are stuck with a cheaper one. The ring is beautiful. Maybe the sales person couldn't read the 10k inside of the ring. Bottom line they charged for 14k. Then there was $140:00 for sizing. All of the sales people were nice. Lesson learned, always check your jewelry to see the weight of it before purchasing. I found the perfect handkerchief and all I needed was to find a place to get it done. I called around town and was told that because of the delicate fabric it would nearly be impossible to get done short of finding a little old lady that could hand sew. I mean, that is literally what one person told me. After panicking a bit (Where does my friend get it done? Who knows? I couldn't have asked though without stirring up her suspicion.) some kind person directed me here. Praise the Lamb, because they had me bring in the handkerchief to take a look at it and even though they had all the industrial machines in the back (I got a grand tour because I needed to pick out the perfect string colors--I didn't take pictures... because, well, it would have been odd. But believe me, they have half a million color options and the wall the colors are hung on is beautiful to look at) my handkerchief was done with care somewhere else. The staff were so very friendly. They treated me like an old friend and we were on the hunt for the perfect color combination for the embroidery. I really appreciated the time that they took and the kindness they showed my frazzled brain. My experience was with a small order and it was amazing the detail, I can only imagine how great of a job they do on larger products and orders.

They were at Pop-Up's and special events around the area (and region). And now, they can be found across the region (including North and South Carolina). But what do they carry? Though personally they have handcrafted leather gifts, accessories, and jewelry they follow more the pattern of a boutique in that they have items from other small businesses. What kind of items, you ask? Candles, cosmetics, coasters, can coolers, (and to finish out the C's) clothing. The ambiance of the space alone is rejuvenating. The natural light pouring in through the front windows, the reflection off the lightly stained wood accents and pastel colors inhabiting the space, and the warm smile of every team member awaits you upon entrance. There are people/businesses we all find ourselves routing for. They've put in the work, they remained positive amidst challenges, and they have proven resilient despite adversities. And for Freshwater, in addition to that, they have opened a brick-and-mortar location even after all that 2020 brought their (our) way. I will champion them to anyone who asks (or doesn't). Stop in for a visit and I have no doubt you'll do the same.
