I am a man who has been getting mani/pedi's for 20 years. These are the results you get for a $45 dollar mani/pedi here. My technician "Michelle" could have not have cared less about me being there. Not sure if it because I was a man or wearing a equality shirt in support of pride month but WTF? I let my granddaughter paint my nails yesterday and "Michelle" did not bother to even fully clean my nails of the polish before the mani. Unless you have had a positive experience in the past I HIGHY recommend finding another salon. My whole mani/pedi lasted about 20 minutes. I did tip her and said nothing directly. I figured this would allow future customers to have a little warning. read more

She is always very pleased with her nails when she leaves Mimi's. I, too, always think that her nails look great after a visit to Mimi's. Becky particularly likes the work of Tiffany and Nicole. Nicole paints the pretty flowers and such on Becky's toes. Becky likes Mimi's so much that on social media she proclaimed it as one of her "happy places". Please reconsider coming into this place. They do not disclose their prices and what they charge for a pedicure is ridiculous. The ladies working here do not seem to be in a happy environment. In fact, when I pulled into my parking stall, one employee was outside crying on her phone. She then brought her sadness into the salon where she did a pedicure on a sweet older lady. There was very little interaction and conversation. You could tell the older lady was uncomfortable by her actions. This wasn't the cleanest salon, either. Plenty of other places in Santee to go and I bet they'd appreciate your patronage. read more

My technician asked if my foot hurt when he was cleaning out a hang nail and I said a little bit, but I thought it was a little bit aggressive at some point. This is two days after getting my nails done. The paint job is really bad, the tie dye color is NOT supposed to be there, it was supposed to be just a nude color. And one of the nails is already chipped. My roommates nails are perfect and I am not sure why mine turned out like this but they look so bad. read more

Once again Yelpers get it right! I went here on Tuesday because I had 2 hrs to spare between classes. Came as a walk in and was seated at ped chair immediately. Manicurist had a client in her chair and an appt but still cycled me in without rushing or leaving any of us 3 unattended. To me that is a true professional; someone who can multitask! I was in and out in 1hr 10 mins. Great conversation. They only spoke English within themselves. Low relaxing music, no tv, thats what I call a spa pedicure. Also decor is modern and clean. They have wifi and now accept credit cards (see pic I uploaded). Adequate parking at time I went (1:00p) Alas! I have found my new nail place!!! :D NOTE: This nail shop is NOT in Food4Less shopping center as Google Maps mapped. It is past it. Diagonal from Rio Seco on Riverwalk. I was just there less than a week ago and already my nail has lifted and I was able to just lift it all completely off. She was a nice lady, but to find out now, that after a week of getting a full set from them and this is happening... I won't be back! Just got my toes done by Nicole, had the gel polish done. I like how they look. I'm really anal about how they look when I pay to get them done.. I thought the gal was nice and all... I usually never get my nails done. This is the second time I have ever had them done and I am glad I got them done here! I went with my sister, her boyfriend and my brother. We wanted 2 manicures and 1 pedicure. At first they said there was no time and that they can only do one of us, but they eventually let us all go. I'm very indecisive and had no idea what I wanted for my nails. at first I was just going to do a regular red nail polish with glitter, then the lady suggested gel and I said, why not? So I went with gel with little confetti designs. She was very fast, got done in about 20min. Wonderful service, great atmosphere, very calming. I saw Nicole today she was wonderful. I booked another appt before I walked out. So relaxing. Her work is beautiful.

They are rude here. The woman in the front wears a mask and never smiles. I had an appointment but when I got there, mask lady said "sit down and wait". I asked how long, she said 10 minutes and it was 20 minutes later when she said through her mask "sit there", still no smile. These girls don't talk to you or won't talk to you. Mask lady said just because we have appointment it doesn't matter because sometimes other customers take longer. Still no smile...just rude. We will never go back read more

I came in to treat myself to a mani/pedi because I haven't had time to do anything nice for myself because I have been so busy tending to my 7month old son. I called ahead and they said to come right in, I was seated promptly in a massage chair and the lady started working on my feet. I didn't catch her name but she was wearing glasses (black with blue frames). She mumbled under her breath in Vietnamese that I had gross feet. Yes- maybe my feet weren't in the best shape but that's why I came in to get a pedicure ! I let that slide because it was just one comment and apparently she had no idea that I AM VIETNAMESE! She then proceeded to keep talking shit about the design I wanted for my manicure- how my manicurist should charge me $10 more for a simple design, how she was getting all the $30 pedicures. She asked me about my lashes in English and how much they costs.. then you guessed it! She started talking shit again in Vietnamese and said I paid too much for them and how easy it is to do lashes etc, etc. she was really just a complete and utter bitch! My manicure nail tech Natalie was wonderful. I'd give her 5 stars. She did a great job and I'd be happy to have her do my nails in the future but unfortunately due to the other rude, condescending, uneducated nail lady I will never return to this establishment. If you don't understand Vietnamese- be sure that the nail tech with the glasses is talking shit about you. read more

This review is mainly for Natalie. She is absolutely amazing. Best nail technician I have ever had and I have tried countless nail salons from Mission Valley to Alpine. I showed her a picture and explained the shape, length, and color I wanted. She nailed it!! Better than I could have hoped for. It's been two days since and I cannot stop staring at my own hands. In addition to her excellent skill and work, Natalie was also very sweet and knowledgeable. The shop seems nice as a whole. Very clean. Plenty of parking. My favorite nail salon to go to! I've been going here for many years and it's not like typical nail salons you go to and for the better. The salon is owned and run by 3 sisters so they don't try to steal customers from each other and they don't gossip to one another. I do like when specifically Tiffany does my nails but they all take their time on your nails and have no problem fixing it if you don't like it. I also think they have really good pricing. I always get gel nails and it's $25! read more

I went to Mimi's Nails last week after being recommended by a friend. I was very disappointed, to say the least. Not only was the staff rude and dismissive, I also contracted an infection from their tools. The gel manicure I got is already peeing off. Overall, the services were given rather quickly... I mean, 30 minutes for a gel manicure AND pedicure?? Yeah. Okay. I overpaid for simple skills to be performed and was incredibly let down. I love that they are quick and the prices are very reasonable, but they're TOO quick. You're in and out for a gel pedicure in 30 minutes. The massage portion of a predicure is almost non existant, so you don't get to enjoy the relaxation portion that so many of us look forward to with a predicure. They also use dry scratchy towels on your legs after lotioning as opposed to a warm damp towel. So, great option if you just want to get in and out really quick... But not the best choice if you're looking to treat yourself and really get the royal treatment. read more

I used to go religiously every month, but after I moved out of Santee 2 years ago I have strayed. Mimi is a darling, sweet lady. She and her mother give the most ass kicking pedi's on earth! They last for over a month. It's a quiet nail shop, with pristine spa chairs that are sanitized between uses, a wide selection of polishes. Best part- a spa pedi is $13.00. No upgrades, no callus remover acid (they do it the old fashioned way with the pumice and it's amazing and painless), no scrub, no paraffin. A plain ol' pedicure. And worth every penny. I chose Mimi's due to all of the positive reviews on Yelp. They're all so true! Mimi's is a very nice little nail salon. It's neat, clean and pretty with some nice music playing. There's a big fish tank with some big, lovely goldfish swimming in it. My nail tech was Tiffany and she was super nice. She did a lovely job on my nails (I like the shellac polish). She was friendly, sweet and even put up with my corny jokes. LOL! There were soooo many colors of polish choose from I was having a hard time making a decision. Tiffany was very patient and helped me pick a lovely color - one with glitter! Love it!! Tiffany recommended making an appointment so there's no waiting. She said they have a lot of regular customers which was really nice to hear. There was another nail tech in the salon working on another customer and she was very friendly as well. I rarely get my nails done, so when I decided I was going to pamper myself with a pedicure, I was excited to see good reviews on this place and go check it out myself. The place is very clean and simple. I didn't have an appointment, but was seated right away in a comfortable spa chair. I do not remember the lady's name who did my nails, but she seemed to know what she was doing when I told her I wanted a french tip pedicure. The pedicure itself felt nice, but when I looked at my toes when she was "finished," at least two of my toes were messed up. The white tips were smudged, so I asked her to fix them since I hadn't even moved yet. Instead of taking the nail polish off on those two toes, she just took the white polish and went over it again. It looked even worse and I regretted asking her to fix it. If I'm paying for a service, I expect that service to be perfect, or as close to perfect as possible. Just went in and received a full set of nails for 25.00 with two nail colors. Tiffany was my manicurist, she's awesome and hilarious! The shop is clean, and the three lady's there are friendly. The pedicures are amazing as well as the massage! Will be going back for a fill and color change. This will be my new go to nail shop. read more

I saw the reviews and thought I would check it out. I've never made an appointment ahead of time in the 10 years I've been getting my nails done. The front door says that walk-ins are welcome. I walked in, asked to change my shellac. She asked me if I had an appointment, when I told her I did not, her response was "no I don't have time for you". That's fine, it's her loss in my business, I just thought that she should have come up with a better answer or given me a time that I could come back instead of just writing me off. read more

Indeed, make sure to keep in mind that the Cuyamaca address is correct! I've come here a few times now for pedicures and enjoyed every bit of it. The place is clean and they have a wide variety of polish colors (nothing too crazy, though). THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS!!! I can't tell you how embarrassed I was when I came in last week sans cash! Mimi was kind enough to let me take off to go to the bank real quick and come back. I can't believe she trusted me like that! I really appreciated it. I offered to leave everything with her except for my car keys and wallet (so that would have been a designer handbag and an iPhone), but she said don't worry! My spa pedicure cost $18. A short massage with lotion, pumice stone scrub, cuticle trim, polish, and top coat. I'll definitely be coming back (with cash!) soon. read more

I don't get my nails done so this was the closest place I went to. The two ladies were extremely friendly. I was doing a walk-in, but understandably, couldn't take me in for a little less than an hour because I didn't have an appointment and looked pretty busy too. Had a french tip mani and pedi. They did a fantastic job. My pedi still looking great (almost 2 weeks), she even put these cute little flowers on my toes. I removed the manicure yesterday because I have the bad habit of messing with my nails, otherwise they would still look wonderful. Seemed very sanitary and massage chairs were awsome!
