I've had nothing but good experiences here up until this point, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I came in with a photo of exactly what I wanted, and my nails look nothing like the picture I showed. The shape and design are completely off, and it feels like there wasn't much attention to detail at all. On top of that, the technician was really rough while doing my nails, which made the whole appointment uncomfortable. She kept getting distracted talking to her coworkers, and because of that, she even forgot what shape I asked for. If it wasn't my birthday and I didn't already have other plans, I would have asked for them to be redone--even if I had to pay for it--because I left that unhappy with the result. I ended up paying $120 and still tipped $10, and the final result honestly doesn't reflect that price at all. You can clearly tell the quality just isn't there. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience definitely didn't meet expectations--especially compared to how great my past visits have been.

I have a signature pink and white polygel nails that she's perfected. Once in a while I'd be feeling adventurous and incorporate some nail art. You show a picture to Megan and she would always nail it (no pun intended)! There is nothing this girl can't do. Come see Megan, you will not regret it. Love her!

I've gotten my nails done twice here because it's 100% worth the drive from San Ysidro to Santee. Thi was able to bring my nail designs to life so well and I absolutely love her doing my nails! I've also done their pedicure and I always feel refreshed right after. I do recommend this place, its worth the money and compared to other nail salons I've visited, it's at a great price with super great customer service. I also love the cleanliness of the place. They also always offer me drinks when I come in and I super appreciate it. Not a lot of salons do this! They definitely are customer oriented. read more

I had contacted the salon via text over 2 weeks ago to schedule an appointment with a specific nail tech and received a phone call earlier this morning to confirm my appointment but somehow she got double-booked and I got the short end of the stick. The lady at the front desk was nice and tried to ask if I wanted to get a pedicure in the meantime or if I wanted to come back later (3 hours later than I initially requested ) but that wasn't going to work with me. I had confirmed an appointment well in advance and confirmed again via phone call the morning of but it didn't matter. While I can't say much about their work, it seems that scheduling appointments gets rather disorganized around the busy times/holidays. Pretty disappointing. read more

Pedicure only lasted 2 days and peeled off. When I checked out I tried to leave my tip on the CC but they don't accept that way. I was instructed to go to the back and use their ATM for that. That tells me they don't W2 their employees and don't want $$ tracked. read more

Megan did a full set, medium length, almond set for me and wonderfully executed the ideas I had given with only one inspo picture. I was so happy with the final product that I almost cried. Been here twice so far. Kim was the person to do my nails the first time and I knew she'd be my nail girl forever. She's outgoing, funny and friendly and aims to give you the best service/experience. The shape I asked for is a cross between almond and stiletto and she didn't disappoint. They're really busy so making an appointment is recommended. I can't wait to go back for my next fill. We walked up and saw it was busy. I said, "Oh man, they are busy, must mean they are good". There was another customer waiting outside who piped up and said, "Yeah, they are the best". The shop is clean and well decorated. They have comfortable massage chairs for pedicures. If you are only getting your finger nails done, the tables have a nice bright light and comfortable chairs. First nail salon I've been to that had nice ergonomic chairs for the customers. If you are getting your nails and toes done at the same time, they put a board in front of you that rests on the chair, to make it more comfortable and gives you a place to put things. When we walked in we were greeted instantly and she was very nice. There is an extensive collection of colors and type of polish to choose from. I saw builder gel, regular gel, dip, and regular polish. My tech was very thorough with his cuticle work and my husband said he got the best massage ever. It is now 3 weeks later and my toes still look fantastic! I will definitely be back! read more

Best nail salon in San Diego!!!!! Never going anywhere else again. Beautiful space and super friendly staff. Ask for a drink cause they have mimosas! They also played lots of pop music which I appreciated. Nina did a fantastic job on my pedicure! My feet have never felt so pampered! Kelly was so sweet and did a twonderful job on my gel manicure. Cindy also did a great job on my friends toe nails. Check out their instagram for super cool designs. I don't have the long nails for extra fun nails but they clearly have a very talent staff! 5 star service, location and staff. read more

This was my third time here, walk-in. This last time, I had a pedicure. It seems if you do not have an appointment, you get one of the new people with little to no experience. The girl was very pushy, she kept pushing for a manicure, I kept saying, "no". She kept asking if she could cut my toenails. I said, "No, I cut them myself, otherwise they get cut to short and I get ingrown toenails." I was very disappointed because the nail polish did not cover the entire nail, the cuticle needed to be pushed back more and trimmed. Also, the price increased. I wasn't told until my feet were in the water. I won't return. For your basic mani/pedi, this is not the place to go. read more

Lina had a great solution and did an amazing job matching it with an acrylic extension--you can't even tell in the photo. That said, if you're in a similar situation, I'd recommend asking for Gel-X instead of acrylic. The acrylic ended up feeling loose and didn't hold well, so I had to come back before leaving for a trip. To their credit, Sunny Nails squeezed me in the very next day. Another technician quickly assessed the issue, removed the acrylic, and replaced it with Gel-X (a full, strong nail--not just a tip). The result was flawless--she shaped it beautifully, and I was able to enjoy my trip with perfect nails. The only downside was the experience during the fix. The technician seemed frustrated, didn't respond to my thank you, and abruptly turned off the blue light and walked away without acknowledgment. It felt a bit uncomfortable--especially since I had already paid extra for the initial service and had to come back. Overall, they made it right, and I appreciate the quality of the final result--just wish the customer experience during the correction matched it.

My pedicure went great, but wouldn't recommend for a full set.

I also had pedicures with Sandy and Hanna, and both were fantastic. They were friendly, professional, and made the experience so relaxing. A few days later, I went back to have my nails shortened, and Kevin took great care of me. He was patient, skilled, and made sure my nails looked perfect after the adjustment. Came in to get my nails redone because the gel X on both of my thumbs were coming off actually one…read morecame off and the other one was coming off and I just came in to get two new Nails really didn't care about and for the design it was either salvaged the nails or take all of them off. Kevin is perfectionist and he wasn't gonna let me go with two different designs. He redid all my nails and the length that I'm comfortable with in a design that I really love. Thank you!

Both ladies have done equally an amazing job and each set I've gotten looks amazing and not too overbearing on my face, compared to past sets I've gotten. Also the retention for me is very high, I usually do not need to go back for a fill until 3 weeks. Their store is super clean as well, you can tell they put a high priority on hygiene. Also, since they use a recliner instead one of those typical uncomfortable lash tables, my back actually doesn't feel like it's about to collapse as soon as I get up, lol. Will be returning soon!
