Although I'm not sure how much time passed (in a pandemic, time is relative anyhow), when we popped in tonight on the way to dinner to grab a couple of things, we were super-excited to see the shelves stocked with our beloved drink sachets! What a treat! And only a moment after we decided we'd get a package of Lumpia to make at home, we noticed the new food counter--took a split-second to decide to dine-in instead of cook at home--a no brainer, really. So, we both ordered the Snack Combo #1 (Lumpia + Fruit Tea for $8.95) and while the hubs ordered Dragonfruit Tea, I opted for an 'upgrade' to Rose Milk Tea ($1 extra). With a green straw, mine looked pleasantly seasonal and tasted delish (dragonfruit was yummy, too)! The new cozy dining area has a pleasant ambiance with several booths and a few smaller tables and it was encouraging to see so many customers ordering food, turns out this has only been an option for three weeks. Also keep in mind this was late afternoon on a Friday. Unfortunately fast may be part of the problem. I ordered curry-it was thin, one dimensional with some chicken and a few pepper slices. We also ordered Crab Rangoon. 11 bucks for 4 soggy pieces. Total bill with up charge for using credit-3%. Plus 15% tip for handing me the bag-$60 bucks! Crazy! It wound be different if the food was excellent. I think it was pre-made-getting ready for a busy Friday. That's why it was soggy and quick.
