Today, I arrived a few minutes late for my appointment and was immediately told by Sonika that only half of my service could be completed. While I understand that lateness can affect scheduling, what was disappointing was the way the situation was handled. I was spoken to in a rude and confrontational manner, accused of not valuing her time, and made to feel reprimanded rather than assisted. When I tried to discuss the matter with reception, no effort was made to resolve the issue beyond suggesting that I submit feedback by email. To make matters worse, another staff member came out and told me to lower my voice, despite the fact that I was speaking calmly and respectfully throughout the interaction. If anything, it was Sonika who was being loud and confrontational. I found this both unfair and upsetting. In over four years as a regular client, I have never had a single complaint. That is why today's experience was so shocking and disappointing. I encourage management to review the recordings from today, as the level of customer service I experienced was far below what I have come to expect from this business. Sadly, after today's experience, I will not be returning and regret having recommended this location to others.

Firstly, the day before my booked appointment, they texted me at midnight and told me my appointment was no longer available. So, I called the next day to reschedule and they told me to make sure to come 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out paper work. I ended up arriving half an hour early, but when I walked into the business to get my paperwork, they told me to wait outside. Eventually they came to get me and I filled out the paperwork in a timely manner before my booked time. Even though I was finished, I still had to wait another 25 minutes for them to start my treatment. Secondly, they informed me that the treatment that they are selling on Groupon is not actually as advertised and that I wouldn't be getting the full treatment that I expected to receive. (This is not stated anywhere on their Groupon ad.) Thirdly, throughout my treatment the guy left the door open so people walking by could look in and see me getting a facial!! Unbelievable! I felt incredibly uncomfortable with this, and to make matters worse, the guy was speaking to one of his associates in another language the whole time while she was in the other room. A few times she even popped into the room I was in to continue their chat; all the while I was laying there getting my facial... Other annoying things that happen include that he attempted to wipe my makeup off with a paper towel (which he did so unsuccessfully), and he didn't even touch my nose during the whole treatment, which was the area that needed the most attention! I've had hydrafacials from other spas before and what he did was Nothing like those facials. I don't know what kind of crap he put on my face, but it wasn't right. After the treatment was over, he asked me when I would like to come in for the second facial, and I told him I would not be returning after learning how unprofessional they are. Sugaring Change popped up and I was intrigued. I never got the chance to try the place until recently. I decided to just try it as the waxer I like is on mat leave and the location is no longer convenient for me. My alternative waxer has changed her work schedule and I could not meet her timing. So Sugaring Change it is. This is the fastest Brazilian hair removal I ever had. I think I was done in 15-20 minutes. It was gentle, less painful (to me) than hard or soft wax. It was clean and best of all, no tweezing was done (not sure if it is commonly done anyway). I had my session with Danica and she was very patient in explaining the procedures and would let me know the products she would be using as I am sensitive to certain products. The place was nice, clean and quiet. You need to key in a code at the door to enter. I do not think there is a receptionist there at all times as I tried calling when I was there and there was no answer. To make an appointment, you will be better off doing it online or texting or at the desk. Parking at the underground garage is limited (I was told the 2 spots meant for them is usually taken up by staff), and it may be easier to find a spot on the street instead.
