This is one of my favorite places in the world. Tracy and Mikki are the best! Every year our family goes camping in Ansel Adams wilderness. Minarets packs our gear in and out for us. We arrive at Minarets Pack Station with all our gear the day before our hike in. Mikki has an amazing dinner prepared for us. This year it was massive ribeye steaks. So good! We enjoy a lovely meal in the big house together giddy with anticipation about our camping trip. Afterwards we retire to one of the pack stations super comfortable glamping tents for the night. We sleep like babies on super comfortable warm beds. We wake up bright and early and put our gear on the mule loading dock. Mikki provides us with a wonderful huge breakfast and we set off to hike in to our chosen lake. The mules bring our gear up which arrives a little after we do and we live like kings on our own private lake for a week or two. It is absolute heaven. I cant say enough about Mikki and Tracy they are so kind and welcoming. The atmosphere at the pack station is lovely, with a beautiful green pasture surrounded by fir trees. The food and accommodations are over the top. Staying the first night at the station is 1000 times better than a crappy motel in sweaty Oakhurst read more

This family run business works hard to make sure your High Sierra camping, hiking, or pack trip is a terrific experience. Tracy evaluates each situation and can be trusted to use his years of experience and judgement to pair riders with the appropriate stock. So important when you are dealing with those rascally mules! This paired with the help of dependable and conscientious employees who strive to keep you safe in the wilderness with sound decisions. Mikki's "Glamping" tents are comfortable, well maintained, and you can tell she has channeled her inner Martha Stewart! And boy can she cook! We had so much fun there on our trip there this past summer. You need to go! read more

Our packer Creed was excellent, just what you would expect on a trip like this: quiet, watchful, knows his animals. The glamping tent was a nice touch the night before and the meals were hearty and plentiful. Don't let the recent Creek Fire scare you off from this area--there is a burn scar, but before long you're beyond it and in some of the most beautiful country in California. I suggest taking a bandana to cover your mouth and nose for those parts of the trail that are dusty. read more

We had a magnificent time at Minarets Pack Station! We took 4 grandchildren, total of 6 of us. Hiked around, went fishing, and did a day mule ride. All of us talk about it being one of our favorite trips together! Absolutely delicious food every single meal. Mikki even supplied all the ingredients for 's'mores by the campfire on our last night. Highly recommend! read more

After using the services of Minarets Pack Station since 2007 this summer was definitely a giant step up since new owners Mikki and Tracy took over. The new tent cabins are a luxury and dinner and breakfast was superb. Our gear was waiting for us at the campsite we selected at Lillian Lake when we hiked in, Parker, our packer even set up our chairs, a small folding table and set a bottle of wine on it we had packed. We base camped here for 6 days and like to bring a lot of stuff to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend Minarets Pack Station for any trip into the wilderness. read more

Family and friends have been using the service of the Minarets Pack Station for more than 20 years. We recently booked a trip into the Ansel Adams Wilderness using the services of MPS's new owners Mikki and Tracy Terzian. The place has undergone a remarkable transformation! There are well appointed tent cabins and a bunkhouse and they offer an excellent dinner and breakfast before you embark on your trip or when you return. Mikki and Tracy are very friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to accommodate your every need. We will definitely be back for years to come! read more

Outstanding service. We used MPS to pack in a large amount of our gear for a 3 day planned trip into the Ansel Adams Wilderness. We packed ourselves out, having depleted lots of food and other stuff to make the load manageable. Everything went like clockwork, from initial contact, though coordination of the service, to our drop off at the pack station, and to their delivery to our planned camp site. All our stuff was delivered to the exact spot we had asked for in our pre-trip coordination, a site not among the more common sites in the Wilderness. MPS' knowledge of those woods was a major factor in having our stuff go exactly where we wanted it. We would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended. read more

Our mission is to share the majestic beauty of this national treasure through our pack station, which offers a full spectrum of experiences: "spot drop off" to "full service" and "fishing trip" packages that include a completely stocked packer and livestock for riding. MPS offers a unique opportunity to discover the grandeur of the historic Sierra National Forest, Ansel Adams Wilderness, and Yosemite National Park. There are miles of wilderness to hike, extensive mountain meadows for photographers and artists, deep granite-walled gorges to explore, and pristine rivers and lakes to fish that are only found in the Minarets of the Ansel Adams Wilderness.
History
Established in 1992.
Owning and operating a seasonal pack station is a labor of love for the great outdoors way of life. Many families over the years have owned and operated what is now our Minarets Pack Station (Tracy and Mikki Terzian). Over the course of several lifetimes memories have been made by each family for the families of others. Tracy and I frequently have visitors drive in that can't wait to tell us their stories about the last time they were here. Tracy and I took over the pack station this year in May (2018). This is nothing new to him as he used to own Cedar Grove pack station years ago. Tracy has packed mules up and down the Sierra's and around the Inyo for the past 40 years. This season is almost over. It's been a good one. We have plans for more upgrades to this old historic place for next season. I can't wait to see how they turn out. Call us up to schedule a pack trip for the family or co-workers, hiking, fishing, camping or even a wedding. Don't forget, leave us a review.
Meet the Business Owner: Tracy and Mikki T.
The Minarets Pack Station is remote. We live off the grid for six month out of the year. It's peaceful. We have wildlife of deer and bears that wander through. We have internet and phone access, our power is by solar or generator. Tracy and I both love to cook, and have friends come up to stay a few days. An average morning begins no later than 5a.m. to start the coffee, pull the mule strings out, feed and saddle them, make breakfast, pack lunches, and then off they go with our packers. Mornings go quick.
