Could have done without the food, but no one had dinner before the game. Food and drinks were on par with a stop at Mellow Mushroom before the game. The experience is excellent for families! During the week, games are less crowded. The staff is friendly, and the team is playing quite well - 3 home runs yesterday and posted a W! If attending during the day, don't forget some sunscreen.

Because the website is not straightforward about prices, here's a heads-up: a 45-minute private lesson is $115, with discounts for bundle purchases up to 50 lessons for $5000. There weren't any sporting events going on while we visited so the park was pretty empty, but I could see it getting crowded with sporting events going on. Pros: The playground was huge and had plenty of play structures to keep the kids entertained for a while. Lots of cute picnic spots overlooking the pond. Plenty of parking. Easy access to I-65. Cons: It was very hot and shade at the playground was limited, but there was plenty of shade by the pond and other locations throughout the park. No bathrooms that we saw, only portable toilets. Lots of ducks and geese looking for food.

From what I understand it is the oldest municipal course in the city. Staff: Extremely engaging and courteous. Very friendly and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. A+ customer service. Clubhouse: Quaint little club house. Limited pro shop. Much like you would find at any other small course (golf ball sleeves, tees etc.). An old stone building with plenty of character. Price: Outstanding. 9 holes with a cart for $15.00, with the option to play twice (we will call it the back 9) at a slightly discounted total cost. Condition: Not bad for a municipal course. The cart was in good working order, tee boxes were all for the most part fairly level, fairways were not in the best shape but this could very well be attributed to the changing of the seasons, and it very well may improve throughout the spring. Very nice practice green next to the first tee. They were kind enough to let me practice some flop shots and not chase me off as other courses have in the past. Difficulty: Very good course for all skill levels. Not overly difficult, very little water, small greens that add to the challenge. Not extremely long, with a reachable par 5 and for some, a drive able par 4. Overall: Go out and try it! Good inexpensive course to work on your game and enjoy the great outdoors! WARNING: this course requires situational awareness. If you here "fore" they really mean it. Golf balls sailed past my cart and or tee box a few times throughout the round. Keep your head down or consider playing with a hard hat!

On a Thursday afternoon, the parking lot was empty. The park had two portable toilets open to the public, a playground, trails and lots of green space.

The baseball fields seem very nice, and the gymnasium is quite impressive. There is also a walking/running/biking trail that is well maintained and offers plenty of distance. Plenty of room for dogs to run around and have space from others if needed.
