We've done several escape rooms and this one is the first one we've done where everything took place in a (small) single room. We did the Mad Scientist and escaped. The room was low/no tech so I do feel like the price point was high for this room. Since it lacks technology and innovative puzzles I would have expected this experience to be priced at the low end of escape rooms, around $25. Our game master was attentive. Well we had a blast at this escape room. We did the Wild Wild West themed room and WE ESCAPED!!!! The owner is very friendly and we cant wait to get back to do the Secret Agent room soon! I think that room is just for a limited time...but not sure about that. But it is the most advanced room I think you can do here. The location is kinda hidden so look for Aarons Rentals and Remax Realty it is in a little shopping center close to In and Out Burger. My group and I escaped Wild West and The Secret Agent!! We had a great time and really enjoyed the rooms! The Wild West was great, but has a lot of hidden objects to find! We escaped with 16 minutes to spare. We love the Secret Agent because it kept all of us busy!! We escaped with 19 minutes to spare! I guess we have to go back and escape the last room. Zero stars!! Owner is horrible! Emailed with him multiple times made reservations for room and time he said was open and drove an hour and 30 minutes with family only to show up snd be told we had no reservation. Girl at desk called owner I explained situation and email exchange and that we had driven an hour and half one way to be here. He said sorry I didn't book your reservation in time so you will just have to schedule another time. I asked if he could offer any discount or anything to come back he said absolutely not! I said that is ridiculous as I emailed and made reservations he said he didn't care. He wasn't willing yo do anything yo compensate for our time and said he didn't care about my business or anyone else I shared this experience with!! I truly hope his lack of care snd concern for his customers and their time costs him greatly. I got a Groupon because I've been wanting to try one of these Escape Rooms, after missing and being apprehensive of an earlier opportunity. I wanted to do something on my trip outside of eating and shopping and this was an awesome option. We were pleasantly greeted, all and any questions or hesitations were addressed. To stay on task and on time, we were allowed to start the Escape Room without the other team members who were arriving late. They weren't with us, but had the remaining slots booked to be on our team. We were told that they would join us when they arrived. We got the Mad Scientist room since the other rooms had not opened yet (wild west themed room as well as a detective's office which will be opening soon!) The task started with the Doctor's assistant ushering us to the room in character. She remained in character with an awesome accent the entire time. It made it more fun to keep our heads in the game! We were able to buy clues which helped. We then learned that the remaining people that were to join us, wouldn't be, so we could finish alone. I was relieved because the room was rather small and I'm not sure that I would have enjoyed myself as much or would have had enough opportunity to think lol. We beat the clock and won. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a group activity. read more

I made reservations for my son's 10th birthday party with 3 of his best friends and 4 older teenage cousins. I reserved the Wild Wild West Room. They all had a blast. The 10yr olds were a bit lost at first with the instructions but they were able to help out and find some of the clues. The attendant was very helpful and so pleasant to us. We were fortunate to have the place to ourselves, I was able to watch the kids the entire time through the camera. They even had 3 minutes to spare. When I posted one of my reviews, I was notified by the co-owner and was offered another room for free if I took down the bad review. My daughter was completely heartbroken and didn't want to go back. Aw man!! Where do I begin? Found a Groupon and figured I'd give it a go! Came in, nice clean environment and they're in character from the moment you open the door! Extremely friendly staff who did an amazing job incorporating the actual business setting into the theme of the game. Once in the room, it was ON!!! There's really no obvious "give aways" in there. But each clue leads to another so it's progressive. They're not too difficult to solve, but definitely challenging and fun trying to piece them all together! Unfortunately, we got stomped on the very last clue and didn't make it out in time! I sacrificed my crew member just to get out of there in one piece! lol! Hence the reason I'm the one leaving this review! lol. But all in all, I had a GREAT experience in there and can't wait for the other rooms!!! The whole experience was really great! I used a Groupon and other than having to call to use it (not schedule online), it was easy to redeem. When we arrived, the introduction to the Mad Scientist room was given - in character. A nice little backstory about the room and what you were entering. You have an hour to escape - and to start us off, they actually give you the first clue. Then, you solve that and go from there. It's mostly like organized chaos - everyone looking around the room for clues, trying to figure out how they go together, how to get locks opened. You DO have the option to get "help" if you're stuck. You find money in the room and can turn in some money in exchange for a clue. I thought that was very helpful - so you can get help if needed, even if it's more than once. I went with one friend, and we were lumped together with a family of four. Luckily, we all worked well as a team (especially for being strangers) - and were able to escape with 14 minutes left! Ideally, you'd want to bring a group big enough to use all of the allotted slots, but it worked OK for us. There was a "debriefing" afterwards where the Mad Scientist person assigned "awards" like Best Communicator or Best Researcher. This was just a verbal award and everyone got some acknowledgement. I feel like this part was unnecessary as it didn't really add to the fun - and it kind of made it drag out at the end. I will definitely be doing it again! This wasn't my first Escape Room (3rd actually), so I can say this was a good setup because the problems to solve were set up so they kind of lead you to where you needed to go next and you could solve on and get a little burst of excitement to keep you going. I think Escape Room events are so much fun because everyone starts on equal ground - so kids, teenagers, adults can all interact together and be successful. It also lets everyone approach solving things differently and contribute in their own ways, so no one is in charge really and you have to work together. It's a fun way to spend an hour - and then you definitely have things to talk about afterward! I know that even if I was put back in the room with the identical setup now, I wouldn't be able to get out myself because I don't know what some of the codes were that others entered! Also, no cell phones (they wouldn't help you anyway) - no one took our phones, so it was more of an honor thing. Also, you shouldn't take video or photos because you don't want to ruin it for others. This was my second puzzle to do and it was awesome! The staff were very nice, very interactive and you tell they love what they do! We tried the Mad Scientist room and it was great, the puzzles were challenging enough but not too complicated, and the teamwork evaluation at the end was something I have not seen before. LOVE this place! We have been twice, and both of our visits have been very enjoyable. These are great escape rooms. Very cleverly put together and fun to work through. They have sufficient clues hidden, so that if you hit a lull you can ask for help. This second time we were able to meet the owner and he was really great to talk to. We have done the Mad Scientist room with 5 people (we successfully escaped) and the Wild West room with 5 people too (we were soooo close!). Both of these rooms were a lot of fun. The people who own it are so sweet and the owner is a navy veteran and everyone we came into contact with there were so nice. We will definitely be going back next time we come into town. I took my daughter here for her 16th birthday with 6 of her friends. This was our first time experiencing an escape room game. The young lady who greeted us was awesome! None of the clues made sense and if the girl who worked there hadn't been in the room telling us what to do the whole time, no one would have ever figured it out. We had an excellent experience at Mind Maze! I went with a group of 6 family members. We've done several escape rooms before and consider ourselves to be room escape "professionals," always looking for a new challenge. Mind Maze did not disappoint! We were greeted by Patrick, who was very friendly and HILARIOUS-he kept us laughing nonstop as he introduced us to the room and went over the rules. We did the Mad Scientist room first and loved it. The room was extremely well-thought out and was certainly challenging! We loved having the option to "buy" clues as we went along. There were enough items/puzzles to explore that all 6 of us were constantly occupied with something. Without giving anything away, we were super impressed with the complexity and technology behind some of the clues! I think we escaped with about ten minutes left. After we finished, we decided to immediately do the Wild West room since there was an open time slot available. We enjoyed this room equally as much as the first one. I guess we were on a roll after the first room, because we finished this one with 20 minutes left. We will be back very soon to try out the Secret Agent room! Highly recommend! read more
