So we called B &B who have been providing us with excellent service for nearly 15 years (and we're up in the hills). The best part of working with Bob is his ability to communicate clearly. When something goes sideways we troubleshoot it over the phone. On our end, all we have to do is give Bob the correct model and serial number for the machine in question and he'll tell us straight up front if the machine is too old to be repaired, or if there's a problem getting parts due to supply chain issues etc. Once the parts come in, Bob and Bob arrive promptly at the scheduled time, and with seemingly minimalist precision install the part(s), check equipment performance and were good to go. When they arrived, they quickly opened the fridge doors, saw the condensation, and without any further evaluation or listening to my description of how long the condensation had been an issue, told me that I hadn't been closing the fridge doors fully, and it was my fault. I have had this fridge for 12 years and have not had this problem, yet they insisted that I was wrong and just wasn't closing the doors properly. After they left, I wiped down all the condensation and left the fridge securely closed for 15 hours and guess what-- when I opened it the next morning, all the condensation was back. To add to the situation, both repairmen kept insisting I was too anxious, and one even gave me an unsolicited hug. To say I was shocked is an understatement. They were pushy for their $140 service fee, and my husband and I paid them cash but immediately regretted it. Since then we had a real repairman come by who diagnosed the problem after quite a bit of investigation. I have called them several times and left messages, but my calls have never been returned. I have requested my money back, also no response. I would avoid them completely.

The idea of buying a new one that might only last a few years filled me with absolute dread. So many products made these days are absolute garbage. I remembered The Vac Store where I'd bought a Miele in the 90s that also lasted forever. I walked in and talked with Tony who was marvelous. He was friendly and helpful and did not pressure me in any way. (He had also helped me troubleshoot on the phone earlier that day and commiserated with me on my old vac not being fixable.) I don't have the kind of income I used to have but I ended up walking out with a new Sebo E mostly because the company offers such a great warranty. With registration Tony explained that I'd get a ten year warranty (7 for labor). Wow I thought, any company that offers that kind of warranty must be making a solid product. I'm very cranky these days about how rare customer service is and how poorly things are made. It was really nice to not feel cranky for a change.

We had a disastrous experience of delivery and damage to our home. Their 2 delivery men fell…read morebackwards down our stairs, dented the machine, gouged our walls and stairs of a newer home. It is challenging to get the repair done as the damage were deep gouges on the landing levels. Challening to replace and repair. We were promised by their logistics representative, that has now left the company to run his own business. Promises have not been kept. I am hopeful that they still might come through. My husband repaired with painting and spackling our walls. The stairs are much harder. I will write again once it is completed. Without the man, Mike, who made promises, and seemed sincere, it seems promises might not be kept. Be careful. They replaced the machine and it came dented, but in a way we couldn't see. And we didn't want another experience with delivery. We should have been compensated for this mess. None yet.
