After 3 visits and 5 weeks my dryer was still not fixed, they no-showed the 4th visit so I fixed it myself and disputed the credit card charge. I offered to pay the diagnostic fee and for the parts but not the repair that they never completed successfully. Totally fair and reasonable, of course Sears would agree to that right? Nope, Sears lied to the bank and claimed they completed the repair and got paid in full. Dishonest people. read more

She set an appointment for the wrong address -erroneous information from my phone number, which I've had for 25 years and never lived anywhere near that address. What a waste of time. read more

Service requested (drier repair) was completed. It was prompt. Quality of work was great. However, the total cost for the repair was over half of what it would've cost us to purchase a new drier which we considered. All in all, we're just happy that our drier is fixed. read more

He had to order the proper replacement parts originally, and he came back promptly to fix my tractor mower once they arrived. (The guy from 10 years ago tried to jack me up for more money and didn't do the proper repair.) The service was outstanding. I booked the service on line near 5 PM one day, the technician called the next morning to verify what needed to be done so he'd have the right parts. He came, fixed the problem, cleaned up and was on his way by midmorning. Soohan was very considerate throughout his visit. I would recommend this service. read more

5* while the technician was. Excellent, competent and thorough your communication system is horrendous. iIts virtually impossible to get a live agent. The chat app is useless. Also it is extremely inconvenient to have a service window that goes from 8 to 5. I did get updates, but they daid the technician would be there at 9:45. Then 10:30 but had 7 more stops. He arrived around 5. All this made the experience far worse than it should have been. read more

I waited around my house for 6-1/2 hours only to get a text from Sears they the tech went home sick. My appointment went from 1-5 and then to 6:15-6:45. Text came in at 6:39 pm that I would not have a tech visit. Will never contact Sears again. read more

I was told we needed a relay control board for our oven. We were billed for the entire service before the work was done, and the part was sent free of charge by Frigidaire, but we were still charged for it and have been trying to get it refunded. Frigidaire said we would just be responsible for labor and that it was noted on the parts order that there was no charge for the part. When the repair man came to install the board, the oven still did not work. He then changed the ignitor, which fixed the problem, so there is a good chance that there was never an issue with the board. Even after charging in advance for the entire service, we were then charged another $5 to our credit card (because they had the card on file) which I can only assume was for installing the ignitor. I will not be calling Sears repair services ever again for service read more

Gas oven would not light. Repairman diagnosed the problem and had the required part. Service call lasted less than an hour and the oven is back in working order. Our 20 year old slide-in is still kicking and the repair cost sure beats the cost of a replacement. Good for another 20 years perhaps. read more

I had contacted Sears Appliance Repair on Friday, February 17, 2023 and spoke with a representative by the name of Chloe. I told her to update my phone as I had to change it to my mobilization to Guantanamo Bay, and gave her my new phone number. She made an appointment for a technician to repair a dishwasher and to go to a house I own on Monday, February 20, 2023, on President's Day. On that day, a technician by the name of Stephen O, technician number 0696773, who showed up after 4:00 pm. He came and spoke with my tenant and informed him that the repairs would cost too much money and quoted him around $500.00 dollars, and ignored my tenant who informed him to speak with me. He went and closed the service ticket as if I denied the service for repair, which he quoted at near $260.00. When I saw the quote, I was upset as I would have used him to repair the dishwasher. I went and called customer service and told them of my issues, and to get me another technician. It seems that he, Stephen O is the only technician they have in the area for dishwashers. Long story short, it did not go well, and I find him unprofessional, as well as the Sears Appliance Repair staff as they allowed him to be the same technician to contact me. If I could give this company a -5 stars, I would. DO NOT USE THEM!!! read more

Sears sent out a van with a guy named Miguel driving it. He was our technical repairman for our Sears Craftsman brand snow blower. The mechanic was focused and capable but the price Sears charged us for labor to install a belt was terribly high.........$70 for 5 minutes work. Outrageous............and guess what? Miguel said he was going back home after working on our snowblower for a half hour total........so he was done for the day at 8:30 a.m. due to the mandatory charge system. I recommend that you do not purchase from Sears Company or use their Home Services if you want to save yourself from problems and headaches. This whole ordeal cost me as much as buying a brand new stove. The first service man came and checked the stove and recommended purchasing parts that he said would fix the stove. I had to order the parts, when the parts came in two weeks later; the second guy came out and said that there was nothing wrong with the original parts. He then said that the problem was the regulator outside. But since I had already paid for the new parts and the labor he put them in. This whole ordeal cost me as much as buying a brand new stove. To make it even worse I had no stove for over the holiday seasons, because I was told it would be fixed and it was not. The services that I received on November 23rd through December 7th from both the Sears Company and Sears Home Services were inadequate and bordering on the line of criminal. read more
