Mindful Massage is the only massage business I use and I enjoy going there. I have had several deep tissue massages with both Pat and Ari, who treated me for migraines, tension on my neck and shoulders, lower back pains, and tendonitis. They are both wonderful with their hands! They really focus on my problem areas and flatten those knots on my shoulders. They also use Biofreeze after the massage as it helps being less sore afterwards. They always recommend that I drink lots of water after the massage. All their staff is friendly and polite. I have had massages from Amanda, Freida, and Sarah as well. On special holidays like Christmas and Valentine's, the business sells gift certificates and discounted massages. The business is very clean, with relaxing music playing in the background, and the logo is the dragonfly. As I walk in, it smells of wonderful body oils, and handmade soaps and lotions. Pat and Ari use their own handmade, allergy free massage creams because I have skin irritations. They even grow some of their own herbs which they use to make massage creams, lotions, lip balms and other aromatherapy items. They also have a small shop where local artists and crafters can sell some of their handmade items like handbags, scarves, postcards, paintings, and photographs. Mindful Massage is THE place to go to get a real massage in south GA. This place is not your typical day spa with fluffy massages that barely get into your knots and muscles. The owners Pat and Ari are highly trained top notch therapists and they make sure all their therapists live up to that same reputation. They offer a plethora of different types of massage ranging from Swedish relaxation to Ashiatsu, Sports, Prenatal just to name a few. This hidden gem is a little away from the main downtown area which I find nice. The area is quiet which is exactly what I want when I'm getting a relaxing massage. The facility itself has a simple elegance with wonderful smells from the locally made soaps and lotions also made by Mindful Massage. Their prices are also very competitive for the area. I've been to Mindful Massage and Bodyworks a couple of times now and can honestly say I love it! Between an active lifestyle and a tendency to carry my stress in my neck and shoulders, I desperately needed someone to work out the knots. And that is exactly what I got- Pat did a great job! I really appreciated that Pat sat down with me and discussed what I was looking for before beginning the massage. She also encouraged me to let her know if I needed more or less pressure along the way. Pat was able to get rid of the knots and still give me a relaxing experience (at most places you usually only get one or the other). The spa itself is beautiful, soothing and very clean! I've been to multiple places trying to find a good fit for massage, and Mindful Massage is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is holistic and peaceful, and they even have great handmade products on sale using essential oils (which I LOVE.) As I'm sure everyone there is skilled and excellent at what they do, I have worked primarily with Alethea. Let me tell you... She is FABULOUS. She is the only therapist that has been able to relieve my chronic muscle pain to this degree. She takes her time and makes sure she is giving you the type of work you feel that you need. I have know the family who owns this business for over 20 years and have watched them grow towards their gift of healing. I was recently in town and received bodywork from Alethea who grew up with my daughter. I am also a seasoned massage therapist and yoga teacher and have given and received over 1000 sessions of healing and bodywork. This young lady is rated in the top 10 therapist of all of my time. As soon as you walk through the door it's an aroma that hits your nose and sends you into a relaxation mode before your massage even begins. Very quiet and not very bright, which is needed to set the mood. I got a 90 min massage and Lee did a fantastic job!!! I loved the music, it wasn't the typical massage music, but it was still very relaxing and she was able to put me in a place where my mind and body needed to be. I have had a number of massages due to Fibromyalgia. It has caused a lot of pain over the years, Some therapists are unfamiliar with this condition and have been of no use at all, some have caused additional pain. I've been going to Mindful Massage for about 5 years now...I go every 2 weeks. After Tracy moved, I started seeing Amanda...very nice and a super massage therapist...the atmosphere is soothing and I walk out with a smile on my face and a song in my heart...life is good! Not every massage therapist does Ashi, but Amanda does. I usually alternate between a regular Swedish massage and an Ashi massage depending on how my muscles feel. Extremely disappointing that the owners feel it is okay to discriminate against trauma victims and survivors of assault. My legal exemption for mask requirements was completely disregarded and I feel singled out and violated after being told that I would be required to submit proof of vaccination and/or a negative Covid test result in order to keep my appointment. My private health information is NOT a fair exchange for services; that's what the fees are for. Perhaps this owner needs to revisit HIPAA laws and practice a little human decency. read more

I took my daughter this past week when she came for a visit from Atlanta. I had Lee and she had Stephen and they both did an AMAZING job.She has gotten several massages in Atlanta but this was my first but we were both very impressed and agree we will be back when she visits again and I will be making regular appointments with Miss Lee. Such an awesome experience! This was my first massage ever. I found it incredibly easy to schedule an appointment online. Stephen O'Haire was my massage therapist. The business was incredibly clean and I felt peaceful as soon as I walked in the door. Ms. Santos gave me a deep tissue massage and I was extremely happy with the results. Her approaches and methods show a great deal of training and experience. Not only did I she give me a complete body massage but she took time to work on the psoas muscle which is a constant problem for me. I have muscle issues from 2 neck and 2 back surgeries , I have been to Stephen and Aire on a few occassions now. I have only had the myofascial massage therapy,but it has worked wonders for me.
