So, we just stopped taking her. And, after a very bad reaction to a dog on our walk, where she redirected on me, I would get scared any time we saw a dog when we were out walking and did my best to just avoid dogs altogether. We finally decided we couldn't fix Stella on our own and we decided to take her to Black Paw Dog Training. The training we ALL received has changed our lives! Since her graduation, we have enjoyed Saturday pack walks with other graduates and Stella has done great, walking side by side with other dogs, passing dogs out on the trail and staying in a perfect heel. I never thought it could be possible. She plays ball in a neighborhood park and has perfect recall. And our walks and ball playing in the neighborhood are totally different. She can pass dogs on the trail and just walk on by without losing her mind. And taking her with us to stores is now a fun outing. No more whining. No more pulling. Just a well-behaved pup. She also didn't have much confidence and wouldn't stand up for herself which left her susceptible to being bullied at times. Needless to say, it was hard to watch as a father because I felt helpless. Less than a year into training with Proffessor Anthony, her personality had gone through the roof with confidence. By that time she had a solid Jiu-Jitsu foundation, and had even begun to compete and win in tournaments! And it all started to show big in her personal life, personal relationships, and just overall happiness. Today my daughter continues to thrive, battle, and win Jiu-Jitsu tournaments!
