This spot has plenty of equipment, only slightly busy/packed during peak hours of course as every other gym is, but honestly most days are fine even during those hours. Usually very clean (gym and bathrooms) but the steam room could do better! You can see the sludge in there and honestly just quick hose down every day with the right cleaning solution would do it, it has a drain so it's not too hard haha. Sometimes the pool smells horrendous haha like wayyy too many chemicals, maybe use local biz Mr Pool - they're amazing for pools indoor and out, as well as the hot tub. The music kinda sucks they play but it's generic gym music so you can't really complain. I love it here, they have a good sized area for everything you need. Maybe one more chest/back pectoral fly machine would be perfect!! That's the only one that's always taken. Cheap prices as well. Good trainers. I don't get how people give it bad reviews.

However they BLAST horrible MUSIC so loud in the hot tub/pool area and woman's locker room. Today it was like I was a prisoner of war with torture music. They said they turned it down, but I had to leave. (You could barely hear it in the MACHINES room but women's locker room and hot tub were unbearable.} The music is rarely ever good music but when they blast it so loud it's not conducive to a happy work out. They said they cannot adjust the speakers individually. They used to turn off the music in the hot tub/sauna room at one time (yes it was off!) and who needs LOUD music to get dressed? What if you want to have real conversations and interact with other humans? Not possible. YIKES!

Made it to Lifetime boulders grand opening before leaving to Arizona!…read more I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the staff and how friendly they are. Your GPS will send you to a parking garage, which is the correct parking garage. The Lifetime pool is to the right of the entrance so if you are looking at the gate of the pool, you're heading the right way. This Lifetime is single story one level and my favorite part is the indoor lap pool, hot tub, cold plunge steam room, and sauna combination. The kitchen here is not a full-service kitchen, so you'll find lots of snacks and easy things like avocado toast. I do love the booths here. They're super aesthetic and comfy. I also like the GTX/ultra fit room. I can't wait to come back to take a class here. Lots of spots open the picture that I took only shows half the room so just double the spots. Double the spots for double the fun!

Every single piece of equipment is state-of-the-art, spotless, and feels brand new. The outdoor pool is amazing and having an indoor pool for winter is a total game changer and a must for Boulder. I was greeted at the front desk by the friendliest guy ever, which set the tone. The locker room felt more like a luxury spa than a gym and was immaculate, modern, and honestly kind of gorgeous. The treadmills were next-level too. They even had a setting where it feels like you're pushing a sled. And the recovery area....Unreal. Massages, deep stretching, pneumatic leg recovery--the works. This is the kind of place you look forward to coming back to again and again. First impressions matter, and this one was straight-up number one. I wish my small town where I live had a luxury like this.

Unfortunately, I've been a bit disappointed overall. When you first walk in, there are usually several staff members at the front desk. The staff I've interacted with are always polite and helpful when they notice you, though they often appear to be chatting among themselves or on their phones. My main concerns are with the facilities. Most of the TVs are usually set to the same sports channel showing the same game. Occasionally one is on the news without subtitles, and another often seems stuck on the same Bob Ross rerun. Many of the treadmills are frequently out of order, which can be frustrating. As for the massage beds, only one or two are usually working, and even then the pressure is sometimes very weak. I've also noticed that many members don't wipe down equipment after use. It would be helpful if staff could gently remind people of this. Because of these issues, I plan to downgrade to the $10/month membership, as the higher tier doesn't feel worth $35 to me

They have all the equipment I want and most of it works most of the time. They have enough squat racks and dumbbells and cable machines that I barely ever need to wait. I do go at 5am though, so if I had gone at the after work rush, who knows. The sauna is included in the price which is great also. I will say the men's bathroom is generally very dirty and something is always not working, but if people who just be more responsible and not be so self centered and clean up after themselves, it wouldn't be that way. I don't judge based on bathroom cleanliness personally. If I did, it would probably get knocked a few stars, but I'm here to workout so as far as workout equipment and options, it's great! For the cost, I think the options are great. I would highly recommend if you don't want a bougie experience and are there just to workout and not care about aspects other than the equipment they have available. I cannot speak to the higher tier memberships and the things included with those.

This is a typical Y, with free weights, stacks, cardio machines, classes that are included in the membership cost, and a gym with an elevated track. This location also has a pool, though personally I'd trade it for one set of pre-loaded barbells. I'm sure swimmers would disagree. Other bonuses include convenient access to several bus lines and a Whole Foods as well as pilates reformer machines, though I've yet to try those. This Y just got a huge remodel and I don't think they deserve it. That money should've gone to a different Y in Northern CO because this is the worst Y in the northern Colorado group. I cannot stand to go into the Boulder why because I know the attitude is gonna be snotty! I have gone in to play pickle ball at the Boulder Y because that's where my friends wanted to go. We called and they said we could come in and play and when we got there and started to play a staff member came in and ran us off. That's the second time that's happened. As with everything in Boulder, the parking sucks at the Boulder YMCA. I've told my friends I'm done with the Boulder Y! I highly do not recommend going to this YMCA especially when there's other YMCA options in the Northern CO group that are low stress, friendly, good parking and just a more pleasant experience.
