From the moment you book the appointment to when you walk out of her (beautiful btw) spa, Mindy is professional, knowledgeable and super sweet. I sent her a message thru Yelp with a few questions and she replied immediately. I booked the acne facial (heads up there's a $50 deposit to ensure you show up). She works everyday except Wednesday which makes scheduling easy. You don't even have to call, you do it thru her website., Her spa is beautiful, clean, and quiet. The acne facial included cleansing, exfoliation, intense extraction with steam, a salicylic acid mask that was left on my face for 5-10 mins, a calming green tea mask that was left on my face for about 10-15 mins, pumpkin toner (that smelled AMAZING), strawberry moisturizer (also smelled AMAZING), and finally spf!! Whew!! To top it all of as a final step Mindy even applied some lip moisturizer! Everything was HEAVENLY. And for (I think) a reasonable price. What I also liked was that Mindy actually educated me on my skin. And although she has products for sale she never once tried to sell me. Very professional. I really love what Mindy suggested for my skin. She was attentive and thorough. First time I visited her she recommended the peel and I have been terrified about peels my entire life. One peel gone bad a decade ago from a dermatologist and my face had turned into scabs so never considered peels ever again. Mindy kept pushing me and I was hesitant the first time. I went back for an extraction a month later and she looked at my skin and recommended it again. I moved from SF to Miami and my skin has been acting up. Decided on doing a follow-up review! I've been seeing Mindy for - I think - almost seven months now, and since my prior review, things have only improved in my opinion. Mindy always makes me feel so at home and relaxed - even more so now. People have told me how amazing my skin looks ever since I started going to her. When it comes to her facials, each one is catered to my skin's current needs; she always takes the time to make sure everything is done right and efficiently from the start. She's incredible at what she does... I always leave 10000x more satisfied than the last! Mindy has never suggested I get a chemical peel without first receiving a facial cleanse a week or so beforehand... That being said, I received a few PCA Skin chemical peels to aid in scarring and discoloration. Recently, we moved me up to a heavier peel, which I've received twice now. The first time I received this stronger peel, I kind of screwed it up by using a strong acne cleanser shortly after - Don't ever do that! However, Mindy fixed me up and I just had another peel, which went so incredibly well. (TMI) I've never peeled so much in my life! I tried to wait a bit to see what progress my skin would make based on the products Mindy encouraged me to purchase to combat my Roscea. She told me these two products would diminish my redness if I used it twice a day. I did so and I used up the products within almost 2 months and I see no results. Mindykim is really changing lives. I decided I was going to finally see someone about my acne and acne scars (16 years of acne) and stop relying on products (I promise I have tried everything imaginable). I initially booked an appt for a microdermabrasion via Yelp, but when I went to see her for my first visit and she asked me what I wanted... she suggested microneedling and peels. So far I've done 2 sessions of microneedling and 1 chemical peel. For the first time in my entire life people are commenting (positively) on my skin and face. I'm a convert and will only be seeing Mindy from now on for my skincare needs. I have never been to a spa/esthetician that explained SO much without me having to think of questions to ask. I booked online on her site which was really easy. You just put down a $50 deposit to hold the appointment. Her office will reach out (I got a text) with the address, parking recommendations and mention to bring your current products. So I arrived with my purse full of my hodgepodge of creams, serums, and treatments. The location is very easy to find and there's tons of parking. It seems like the business space is shared but it's very quiet, clean, and spacious. The treatment room itself is well-kept and cozy with dimmed lighting. I personally felt I have bad acne so I booked a signature acne facial. The appointment began exactly at my scheduled time. It started with her assistant double-cleansing my face and then put the steamer on me for about 5 minutes until Mindy came in. She began doing extractions (not really painful at all!) but then advised there wasn't much for her to do because I wasn't really breaking out. She took a good amount of time explaining what she could see on my face, mostly scarring, and she'd rather use the time I booked for something to address that. After a lot of useful information and reassurance (this was my first time getting a chemical peel), she asked to see my products. She looked at every product I brought one by one and asked if I had used it recently to determine whether it was ok for me to do the peel. After figuring it would be fine, she went ahead and did a mild one with two layers for me. There was slight tingling but a small fan was on over my face the entire time so it wasn't anything close to uncomfortable. She then put something on after that was really cooling and went on to explain how acne scarring works and advised me to quit buying all these acne-fighting products because I was wasting money on stuff that was too harsh for my skin, especially if I was going to continue to do chemical peels. I purchased a non-chemical toner and moisturizer (the same brand as the peel) and was given a pamphlet and a printed paper with LOTS of after-care info and her personal notes for me. I booked my next appointment right then and there. I got a hug goodbye and went on my way feeling WAY more knowledgable than before I walked in about my face. Absolutely terrible experience. Unless you're doing the lux services, this place is not worth it. I have had facials at all price ranges (even more than this one), and this by far was the worth experience and largest regret. I went for a the $180 Deep Cleansing Facial and left with a white head on my forehead. I could have placed layers of masks in the comfort of my home and had the same result! I was the first customer for the day. I was briefly greeted by Mindy, she then took a large pile of towels from the room I would later be placed and placed the towels on a chair - the same chair her dog was later laying on. I got to the room. Instructed to change and go under the covers. I was then greeted by someone else who did 98% of the facial. The door was left open for the majority of the facial allowing other people to look inside. The assistant put layers on top of layers of masks never explaining what she was doing. This was all while Mindy was with another customer. When the assistant was done, she went to speak with Mindy in the other room and she was instructed to ask me if wanted an additional service. So charge me more. When I said no thank you, the assistant continued to layer masks, brief arm "massage". About 45 min in, Mindy appears and uses some fancy gadget around my face and then leaves. NO PHYSICAL EXTRACTIONS. The esthetician than prides herself on extractions left a white head on my forehead with other congested plots. I then got another layer of mask. Once the facial was done Mindy asked if I wanted to buy any product - more money. This was an hour and $185 I will never get back. read more

Mindy is amazing and honest. I have struggled with acne since I am 20 (over 10 years). I was self conscious about both my back and face for many many years. NEVER, NOT ONCE DURING OUR INTERACTION DID YOU VERBALLY TELL ME THERE WAS A CHANCE FOR AN ALLERGIC REACTION OR HOW SEVERE IT COULD TRULY BE, OTHERWISE I WOULD'VE MADE IT A POINT TO ASK MORE QUESTIONS! YOU SIMPLY STATED I COULD EXPECT LOTS OF PEELING AND YOU ASSURED ME MY RESULTS WOULD BE AMAZING. I TRUSTED YOU TILL THE VERY END, COMING BACK THINKING YOU WERE GENUINE!
