They have expensive nice jewelry but also an extensive range of crystals from between 50 cents to $5 (and of course many more with varying prices). I adore the folks at this shop and the overall comforting vibe you get when you enter. I have been shopping here for so many years and they never disappoint! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and their inventory is very organized. I've purchased my crystals from this shop over the years including two large, very precious pieces to me personally; a piece of tourmaline and a piece of selenite. I've had them for about four years now and they have done wonders for me in my home, it is amazing. I was in Charlottesville on business and wandered in to the shop after finding them here on Yelp. I'm so glad I did! The gentleman who took care of me was incredibly kind, a great conversationalist, and very personable. The shop was beautiful with an impressive in-store selection and he explained to me that if there was something I wanted that they did not have there, I could call or email them and they'd get it for me. Do NOT enter the store if you have COPD, asthma or ANY breathing problem. They REALLY need a warning sign on the front door! The aroma is overwhelming, it truly hits you in the face like a blow. A lot worse than Yankee Candle or similar places. Went to Crystal Connection this past Monday. I was looking for a moonstone for a piece of jewelry. Hubby and I entered the shop. Hubby stopped immediately and exited in HASTE. The incense smell was so strong that it triggered a severe asthma attack in hubby within 2 foot of the front door. He used the inhaler, and coughed, threw up, coughed some more - hit the inhaler again. It was bad. He should have gone to the ER but didn't want the expense. As it is, he was miserable the rest of the afternoon and all evening. Hit me, too, but my asthma attack was milder, and the inhaler took care of it. read more

Im someone who shops enough so that I expect better from locations. I left this review on facebook, but wanted to leave it here. I spent 100s of dollars here, and still, when I was looking at the tumbled stones, the male clerk broke his neck to see if i was stealing 1 and 2 dollar crystals. Like, really?? So, was it because im black? Do they treat white customers like this? Does Charlottesville even care though? Since the tiki torch march of 2017, im not so sure. Anyways, I now purchase from excalibur minerals that's above Kid To Kid across from Lowes or Etsy. The owner apologized, but who wants an apology. We made a special trip from Lynchburg just to find a selenite wand, and aren't we glad we did! Steven was a warm and helpful guide, really knowledgeable and actually the kind of person you wish were there to help you through every retail experience! I found this place on google when I was searching for a nearby store to purchase gem stones for my lymphatic set. We were greeted at the door and given masks to enter. At first the smell was overwhelming. It may have been sage or something else. The space is rather small so there was no getting away from it. If anyone has breathing issues I don't advise you risk going in. The woman working insisted we have the mask on all the way up to our eyeballs. It was covering the nose and the mouth as required, but not far up enough to her liking. As we began looking around she was shouting at us from across the store infront of the other customers about the mask placement on our faces. She said something to us 3 times. Very unprofessional. We then left and as she was letting us out of the store was going on about her children and home life. She seemed unstable and on the edge of a breakdown. It made us extremely uncomfortable. Needless to say we will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. This may be a great spot for some, but our experience was awful. So I will be taking my business to the 53rd annual Mineral and Jewelry expo in Fishersville. 0/10 read more

The Crystal Connection is my favorite local crystal shop here in town. Most of my crystal collection has come from their shop and they honestly have a great variety of items in stock. Also the items that they do have are very unique and they are always adding new additions; which makes it always exciting to go in and take a look. The crystals they do have are authentic and they will let you know up front if it has been modified. Which to me shows that they care about providing quality items, but also they want the best for their customers. When it comes to the staff, they are always super friendly and always willing to help you find what you are looking for. They are also very informative and welcome questions about the inventory that they have in the store. They also have really great sales throughout the year which is an added bonus for those who love crystals. The prices are fair and honestly reasonable for the quality you are getting. So if you are in the area definitely check them out!! read more

I noticed that a previous customer felt that she had been racially profiled and followed to prevent theft. I just wanted to say that I am a black woman also and have never had an experience such as this in Crystal Connection. My friend who is the same has always had a positive experience also. I believe it happened and she has no reason to make it up, but on the flip side, I was greeted, assisted greatly and left to freely browse the store each time. I know that one negative review can damage a business, so I wanted to post some positivity, in fairness. read more

Excellent customer service from Stephen -- a helpful, knowledgeable, friendly young man (hope his boss recognizes his awesomeness!). I am a newbie with crystals and so needed a lot of advice. My husband and I were in the shop for probably close to an hour -- learning a lot and enjoying every minute. I was concerned that staff would try to up-sell me ("Gee, with all you have going on, you really need this $50 cluster over here!"). But instead, Stephen took us over to the polished stones section, where stones are mostly $1-$5. He helped me put together a nice collection of 8 stones for me to start with. But then: he took the time to number each stone, then wrote out each stone's name and attributes. Wow -- above and beyond! I wish we lived nearby instead of several hours away -- I would be a frequent and loyal customer! read more

Never have I ever had a betyer experience with any business ever. I went to Crystal Connection today to buy two crystals for myself and a gift certificate for my sister. The young man working was so incredibly helpful. Im a beginner with crystal meditation, so I still have a lot to learn. Both him and the woman working with him were so knowledgable, they clearly are very passionate about what they do. They answered all my questions, explained different crystals to me, and helped me with reccomendations. Ive never encountered anyone in any line of work more knowledgable than these two. Hidden away in the corner of a shopping center, but worth the trip if you are looking for jewelry, crystals, and gifts! The jewelry selection is full of unique pieces at reasonable prices, especially with the promotions they run (when I visited all jewelry was 20 percent off and they had some items marked down up to 50 percent off).
