Dr.Funk gave me lab results on my cat and she has stage 2 kidney disease. I received nothing but…read moremixed messages from him.Never a straight answer. From food amounts to my cats blood counts were up but she could relapse at any time.No hope there! My cat had a temperature of 104 and I wanted to put her on antibiotics and he said there's nothing we can do! I ended up taking her to the emergency vet and they tested her for several things and said her blood counts were good and put her on an antibiotic. Her fever went down in a day and she's playing today. She could have died from that itself. No vet or practitioner knows my cat more than I do! I was not heard when I said she needs antibiotic.Thats sad! Where's your empathy? My cat cuddles should have never been put through that! I know she is a fighter and not ready to leave us yet from going through that. My only hope is that doctors and practioners and everyone who works for them starts listening to the owners! We had a routine exam scheduled for him at Mellett, but we were able to move it up so little Beans could be seen the day after he displayed symptoms. Dr. Sara was extremely thorough and the entire staff was so very kind to me as I was emotional and anxious about my little guy's health. Four weeks after his Beans' first visit, my OG Shih Tzu had his annual with Dr. Sara. As the appointment approached it was clear to me that my sweet, newly adopted senior dog, Beans, was struggling to turn the corner from the vestibular episode and put on weight, regain his hearty appetite and regain his energy. I called Mellet and asked if Beans could be seen when I brought in my other Tzu and explained I may be having a quality of life discussion. Again, I was met with kindness and compassion as we scheduled the additional time. On the day of the appointment we were escorted to our exam room and our vet tech asked lots of questions and I shared a quality of life checklist I found online to help me evaluate Beans' overall health and well being. When Dr. Sara joined us we had a very detailed and caring discussion about sweet Beans and his overall health and status. Dr. Sara suspected cancer and said 'we can run several different tests to determine what kind or where, but the outcome for Beans will likely be the same'. I lost my first Tzu to pancreatic cancer six years ago and recognized similar symptoms in Beans and knew he didn't have long. Dr. Sara was compassionate and supportive as we discussed when I might want to say farewell to sweet Beans - I ultimately decided that it was best to let him cross the rainbow bridge that day. He had a good day with a little more energy and a slightly increased appetite and I wanted to remember those positive moments. Dr. Sara and our tech were so wonderful to me and to Beans as we eased him to his next chapter. I was also given space and time to consider next steps and to talk with my partner who could not join me for the appointment. My OG Tzu, Leo, received his annual shots and health exam from Dr. Sara during this same appointment and they were so good to him during his time as well. We couldn't have asked for a more supportive, patient and kind experience. 1-2 weeks after our appointment I received Beans' paw print and nose print with a lovely card signed by the entire staff. It was a wonderful gesture that reassured me that I made the right choice in selecting Mellet and Dr. Sara.

I can't call him a doctor - because of the way he treated her and abandoned her, when she needed help the most! First - Keller misdiagnosed my Xena, he let her live with cancer for 5+ years while she was in his care. He was explaining the growing lumps on her body as normal: fat tissue, build up tissue due to her aging (in his words).. etc. Second - when she started growing lumps in the breast area, a surgery needed to be performed. He recommended removing only one lump on her breast - because the rest of the lumps were "nothing to worry about" ,as he said. I insisted 3 biggest ones to be removed! The biopsy showed all 3 were cancerous tumors! After taking Xena to an oncologist, report showed that all the lumps on her body were cancerous tumors (at least 5 more). The report also showed that the surgery performed by Joseph Keller - was not done properly and needed to be redone!! All of these reports were sent to Mellett Animal Hospital. After that, when I tried to contact them - they were rude and were constantly lying to me that Keller will return my call. He never did call back! They just stop all communication, without a single word of explanation. They just dropped a cancer patient, because Joseph Keller couldn't face me - after all he did to Xena! My Xena would have died from cancer, if I didn't take her to a different Vet Clinic!! Stay away from this place!!!!!

At 16 he got very sick and we brought him in to the clinic to get him checked out. Everyone was so sweet and treated him with so much kindness. It was discovered that he had a heart murmur and he only had a few months left to live. The vets did everything they could until he decided to cross over the rainbow bridge. The vets let me and my wife stay with him as long as we needed to stay until we were ready to part. After his passing, they sent us the sweetest note card from the staff. My wife and I have now adopted two more cats and plan to bring them in for anything that they need. Would 1000% recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. They treat the pets like they are part of your family, because they are.

I noticed it myself in photos that were sent to me, and after I asked about it, the breeder acknowledged the issue in our written communication. I decided not to proceed with that kitten. Later, I received another kitten, but I had to seek emergency veterinary care. The veterinarian noted that a genetic defect or developmental issue could not be ruled out. This resulted in approximately $800 in veterinary expenses. I returned the kitten to the breeder. I did not receive reimbursement for the veterinary costs, and I do not know what happened with the kitten afterward. Additionally, I personally saw a public listing by this breeder offering a kitten without a tail. I cannot make conclusions about the cause, but this raised additional concerns for me. This experience caused me significant stress, time, and financial loss. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this breeder. I strongly encourage potential buyers to carefully review photos, ask detailed questions, and request full veterinary documentation before making a decision.
