No nook or cranny left unturned. She knows what these people are looking for when it comes to move out walkthroughs, and made sure she told me. She's very transparent about what she's working on, what she needs etc and I appreciated that so much. She did such an excellent job that out property manager asked for her number! I couldn't recommend her enough. Please contact Lali if you need cleaning done--she will do it right. She even left me some cleaner in case the mirror didn't shine as much the following day! (Didn't need it as she did a superb job) Not a paid advertisement! I just want the world to know how great she is and how awesome her work is. She does move in, move out, regular cleaning.

They were able to help us clean all of our grout, greatly improve the discoloration to our bathroom tiles resulting from a previous cleaning company using a very harsh chemical, and really just leave the house feeling cared for and attended to. I didn't even occur to me that you could clean screens, but they suggested it and it made such a big difference in how our living room felt. Highly recommend them and will be working with them from now on.

Ordered a starter of calamari - I expected battered fried rings...nope. Tentacles which resembled octopus - delicious! Three of us ordered variations of the Kona mixed plate. When we walked-in, the hostess told us that they were full but we could order food at the bar. So, we sat down at the bar. Red Flag #1: The beer menu had no prices (the prices were set daily like fresh fish and lobster. HUH??). Asked the bartender about certain local beers. He was very rude and unfriendly and told us that he didn't know anything about any of the local beers. Red Flag #2: Asked about the Poke options. Again no prices on the menu for poke (prices adjusted daily). Asked the bartender about poke options like which one was spicy and which one is not kind of thing. Again, rude and unfriendly and told us he didn't know anything about any of the poke options (ugh!). Since we walked a long way, we were tired, and we had already started drinking the beer we decided to order by inquiring people next to us on what they were eating. The poke and the Korean fried chicken was absolutely delicious and fresh! Was it worth it? NO! The rude bartender ruined the whole experience! It was way too expensive and not worth it at all! Giving two stars because the food was good. On they way to this place, we passed by the Kona Brewery. They had Poke and other similar items on the menu with prices listed for all menu items! We came to the conclusion that this place was a rip-off! Just horrible!! I recommend going to the Kona Brewery at the other end of the lot where this restaurant is located.

During my last visit, we tried the Beach Tree Restaurant next door so we decided to try 'Ulu this time and boy am I glad we did. This is our last night on the Big Island and our favorite meal of our trip. The hostess led us to a large table right next to ocean. Our servers Doug and Braxton provided the best service ever. Doug is a sweet guy who grew in Southern Cal close to my residence, so we chatted for quite a while and had some good laughs. Braxton has the world's best smile and took the best group photos for us. They made our dining experience memorable. The food too were fantastic. I always try new restaurants hoping we'll get a surprise new experience and 'Ulu definitely delivered. 'Ulu has a pre-fixe menu and a few of us took advantage of the deal. The pre-fixe comes with a Kanpachi Crudo Salad, a Mango Curry Prawn Bowl, and finishes with a Mango Mille-Feuille. The Kanpanchi Crudo Salad was light and the fish was very fresh. My wife really enjoy this appetizer. I tried a little of her Mango Curry Prawn mean course and it was amazing. The Prawns are huge and perfectly cooked so it is not tough. The curry has a good balance so it is not too mild or strong. I never had this flavor before so I was delighted to try it. Doug informed me about a daily catch special with Red Snapper. I had a lot of fish in Hawaii and honestly I don't like most of them because they always comes out a bit dry. However, I know Red Snappers. That fish has the softest texture so I gave in. That dish did not disappoint. The pan fried side of the fish is crispy while the soft delicate inside just melts in your mouth. I like steam Red Snappers for its soft texture and I was very surprised that this pan fried version can offer the same softness inside. Our friend ordered the New York strip. The steak itself can benefit from more marbling but it was not bad. The Miso sauce adds a very rich salty flavor that you don't usually get from a steak dish. My daughter had a crab meat udon and she loved it. She is a fiend for anything noodle. There were crab flavors in every bite and the crab meat portions are generous. At the end, Doug hooked us up with a Vanilla Soufflé dessert to help celebrate our anniversary. The Soufflé was one of the best I ever had. Every item we tried was good and the view from our table was amazing. This was one of my top 5 best dining experience ever. I understand that most people want to book Beach Tree because of the view, but I am telling you don't sleep on 'Ulu. If I return to Big Island next time, I will book 'Ulu again in a heart beat.

Our drinks sat empty for quite a while, and getting a refill took much longer than it should have. The service issues actually started while we were placing our order. Our server repeatedly walked away in the middle of us speaking to attend to other tables, leaving us waiting several times before we could even finish ordering. It made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. As for the food, it was just mediocre and didn't come close to justifying the price. We've eaten at plenty of restaurants throughout Hawaii, and we've had far better meals for much less. For a restaurant charging premium prices, we expected attentive service and a dining experience that matched the cost. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service lived up to our expectations. Based on this experience, we're not sure we'll be coming back. I was able to talk to the hosts and they ended up grabbing a manager who was very sweet and apologetic.

Also know you can get the similar view from the other restaurant they have literally in the room right next to this one. Well there is a sitting room in between but the same view. No pretty table clothes but the same view and the food comes from the same kitchen. Our waiter was nice and pretty timely, the food was horrible. We were a party of three and all of us had the ribeye. First off they were out of asparagus so we had wilted spinach and fennel. So overly salted and the mash potatoes, they had to come from a box!!! The bread was good but the butter was excellent, the only reason this is getting two starts was our waiter and the butter!!! Our meal for three people nothing to drink but water the three ribeyes and one dessert for our 13 year old was 229.00. I don't mind paying for dinner when it's edible but we left almost all our steak on the plates and the waiter didn't even ask why. My recommendation is have dinner at the other restaurant get the view and pay way less. If you look at my review for tonight's dinner you will see I don't leave reviews just when it's bad. We had dinner in Kona tonight at fish hopper and it was excellent service and food with an amazing view as well.
