Just had a great experience with Mini Movers. Can't recommend them enough. Steve was professional, honest and gave me a very reasonable flat fee to move my furniture from PA to NY. Steve took the time to answer all my questions and provided me with three references before I hired him. All three references were glowing and I can see why. I asked him if there were any additional charges and he said no, the fee I was quoted was all I'd have to pay and he was true to his word. Just had as smooth a move as possible from Philadelphia with Mini Movers. The morning of the move, I had some confusion with movers and had hired too many movers by accident. They stayed professional, cordial and were completely understanding as I tried to figure out the pickle I had placed myself in. Based on price, I chose mini-movers and I am very glad I did. Even after the morning craziness, they were timely, polite, and they were actually pretty funny as well. The owner Steve was probably one of the nicest guys and the two guys with him were very friendly. I am surprised that they even have one negative review. Price wise, they were the best for my small 1 bedroom apartment move. All of the other companies had minimum amount of hours to charge you for, or just a minimum price and with these guys, you pay for what they move. Amazing experience with Steve and his crew. We hired them to move our furniture from a second floor condo and we would hire them again in an instant. 4 movers showed up, an hour early and even in 100 degree heat wave of July 2013, they never stopped. Within four hours, they loaded and unloaded at our new home. Each crew member was more respectful than the next. If they saw a mark, ding or scratch on our furniture, they showed me before they moved it. Steve answered all of my questions and the quote I was given was what we paid, no hidden charges or fees. These guys were professional, careful, friendly, and SO FAST! They took all the stress out of moving! I had a living room and one bedroom (about 10 pieces of furniture and 10 boxes) to move and the price was very reasonable. They sent a team of 4 people which made the job FLY by. I had several extremely fragile pieces including a glass cabinet and they were careful with everything and kept my belongings in perfect condition. Mini Movers just moved furniture for us and they were AMAZING, Chris, Troy and Dave were prompt, courteous and professional. They worked quickly and moved furniture to my daughter's house removed furniture from her house to my sister's house in South Philly and then returned to original start and took furniture to another daughter's house. They delivered my mattress from Big Lots, and I liked them so much, I called on them again when I needed to move some of my belongings to a new address. Steve was respectful and flexible with his scheduling. They called me 15 minutes prior to showing up and showed up within the timeframe we agreed on. They charged me a very reasonable fee for moving my belongings...I had made a few calls to get quotes, and they were the best quote I received. Both guys were enjoyable to work with. I did not actually get into the moving process. I called to get a quote and since I planned on transferring my vehicle we were discussing how the vehicle had to be moved by a carrier. I misunderstood and asked a question to clarify because I thought he said trailer. The man then replied, "Wow, you need an education." Extremely rude. Please Do Not Use. I was referred to this company by Raymore and Flanagan. I never purchased the Raymore set but I hired them to move a bedroom set I purchased from a private owner to my home. The owner, Steve, was rude and unfriendly during the correspondence phase (calls and e-mails) and come moving day - 2 workers were sent . They were rude to the owner of the home, quit the job in the middle of the move stating the furniture was too big and left the items they moved from the home ON THE CURB and drove off. The movers called me to say the furniture was "extreme" and would not fit into my house! How would he know...?? He never even saw my home! I told him I took measurements and was sure the furniture would def fit...he said he would call his boss and just hung up. Steve, the boss called me and said "Yeah, you're gonna have to get somebody else to move this. My guys don't want to go back"....He never apologized, never offered to send more movers or anything...Terrible customer service, horrible attitudes, and zero professionalism. HIGHLY recommend this company. I hired them to move from an apt on 3rd and South St in Phila to 15th and Chestnut. The parking situation alone makes this kind of move something to dread! I recently hired Mini Movers to move my furniture from my previous residence to my new home. I was quoted an hourly price for 3 movers, which seemed reasonable. That is, until the movers actually arrived and began loading my furniture into their truck. First let me start of by saying, if you are paying for 3 movers, you should have 3 movers actually working. What I got was 1 mover, Troy, 1 guy packing things inside of the truck, Dave, and 1 mammoth of a man sitting in the truck just about the entire time, talking on his phone loudly, using very unprofessional language out front of my home for all of my neighbors to hear! Thank God I was moving or I would have been truly mortified! Troy was wonderful and took excellent care of my items and was very professional and polite. Dave, although quite, did a good job packing my items into the truck safely but did not do much to assist Troy with getting my furniture to the truck (at one point my husband actually offered to help him carry a heavy piece). Darin, and I only know his name from hearing the other 2 movers urging him to finish his phone call and help them, did not even bother to introduce himself to me or my husband, as the other 2 men did. He remained in the truck for the majority of the load up at my house and when we arrived at my new home, he still wasn't off his phone. Although now, I guess, he decided that he needed to stretch his legs a bit, so he got out of the truck and assisted Troy with unloading a few pieces of furniture, the entire time still talking on the phone into his earpiece. He did far more complaining than actual lifting and at one point I actually saw him doing push-ups off of the back of the truck!! Mind you I am paying this company by the hour for HIS services. In the end my furniture was moved without damage, thanks mainly to Troy and partly to Dave, but I can't believe I was forced to pay an hourly rate for a mover who was so lazy, and disrespectful. I will never use this company in the future unless some serious changes in staffing occur. I hope Mr. Reynolds knows what a valuable employee he has in Troy and what a waste of a paycheck he has in Darin. read more
