Sadly, I need to update my review after using this company several times. My latest move took place on the weekend, and I moved roughly a mile away. Several of my expensive items were dinged, damaged, or broken. I used to recommend this company very highly, but will be hesitant to do so in the future based off my last experience. We had a small moving job to empty out my mother's apartment. We had moved smaller items ourselves but needed professionals to move the heavier and large items. Our 2 movers were friendly and courteous. They first assessed the items to be moved, then proceeded to carefully wrap each piece securely. We had been worried about the move of the grandmother clock but were very impressed by the care taken to move it. All of our items were transported in one truck and all of the items arrived in perfect condition. Our move had to be scheduled quickly and we want to commend Grace on her responsiveness and professionalism. Two young men showed up on time. One carefully reviewed the contract with me. They worked together professionally. Upon arriving and almost fully unloaded, my mom requested I move very heavy oriental vases to front of property. This was way above the men's responsibility. But they carted these vases, at least 200 lbs, around the block to get to front of buildings. I really appreciated the extra help! They did a great job at a fabulous price!! read more

I have done several moving with mover companies and never had a problem before. This was the worst moving experience ever. Last weekend, I moved to a new apartment which is about 7 miles away from my previous one. Although Grace was friendly on phone/email, I was extremely dissatisfied with the two movers who came on the day. From my previous experiences with mover companies, the amount of items seemed possible to be moved within 2 hours. Most of the items were previously boxed and wrapped by myself, and there was no furniture or items to disassemble. When they first arrived at my apt, one of the mover commented that "This could be done in 30 minutes." His bluffing turned out to be absolutely wrong statement and they spent almost one and a half hour just for loading. There were a number of times when they were taking unnecessary breaks, including checking/talking on the phone constantly. One guy used my bathroom for more than 15 minutes and he was talking over the phone and even smoked inside! This is very unprofessional demeanor, not to mention I'm extremely sensitive to smoke. The movers were careless and lazy. After such a long process, my husband and I decided to help them move so that we can make it into 2 hours. They still ran over an hour and I had to pay extra charge for another hour. Also, their truck was filth with oil stains. After the move, I found several scratches, stains, and minor damages. My table and latex mattress topper got dirty with the stains and it doesn't come off. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

My daughter hired this company for her move form one house to another in Wilmington. They are an exceptional company. The movers', Diondre, Bobby and Will were very professional and great to work with. If I misspelled anyone's name, I am truly sorry. They thoroughly reviewed the contract with us and discussed any issues throughout the move. It was a chaotic day for us, but they made the moving part easy. I would hire them again without question. Horrible!!!! Grace,Wellington, the whole establishment. They broke multiple items as well as gotten into a verbal altercation when responsibility of who broke the items was brought into question. Not to mention they tried to bypass the claims process. My move after being planned months in advanced had to postponed and I'm currently filing a claim against the company and possibly a suit. I would not recommend this company to no one! The workers along with the owner of this company are very unprofessional and when a problem does occur it is not handled with the customer mind. Any company where the workers as well as the owner are willing to curse at a customer when object was broken on the company's behalf is not a company where I will want to put my business to ever again. I rarely write reviews, but felt implored to write one for All Around Moverz. I wasn't sure what to expect when I hired this company, as their quote was considerably less than other quotes I received. But my experience was professional and positive, from start to finish. The only small glitch was in the beginning, when they did not arrive on time. I was, however, kept in the loop. And when they DID arrival, ALL THREE MEN worked diligently to load the contents of my home on to their roomy truck (I had a bad experience during a previous mood with a different moving company - one of the men spent the entire time folding blankets on the truck. Not so with All Around Moverz!) Once the truck was loaded and it was time to head to my new home, I realized that my car battery had died (neither I nor the men had a jumper cable, unfortunately.) Rather than leave me behind, the men actually gave me a ride in their truck! I had been told up front that hourly charges were rounded up to the next hour, so I fully expected them to take their time in order to round up. So imagine my amazement when they told me they were finished with my move at EXACTLY the five hour mark! They then got Grace (the owner) on the phone, and she proceeded to tell me that I was being given a $30 discount due to their later-than-scheduled start! Finally - today I received a 'thank you" card in the mail...with a $10 Home Depot gift card enclosed! All Around Moverz went above and beyond in so many ways, and truly made my move a bearable experience. And they are affordable as well! Highly recommended! read more

Hired them to move a couch about 5 miles from West Philly to Center City. They showed up 4 hours late, got stuck in rush hour traffic making them even later. When they got to my apartment, we explained they were allowed to take the railings off to prevent the couch from getting stuck, instead they tried to force a couch up our stairwell scratching the walls the whole way. Eventually they couldn't even get the couch into our apartment and demanded to be paid for 5 hours of work. I ended up paying them because I had 2 grown men threatening me and refusing to leave my apartment at 11:30 PM. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Amateur hour for sure. read more

Our 2 movers were extremely professional - careful, hard working, fast, and wonderful men. They had all the equipment needed for an expert job of packing and securing the truck. First let me say that I find all around movers workers very professional. They worked non-stop til the job was done. The problem I have with them is their policy on rounding up the hour. If they finish at 3:05, you get charged for the hour. The movers were scheduled to show up at 900 am and they didn't show up til 948 am. Well it was marked down and I ended up paying $75.00 dollars for them to sit in his Their truck. I understand rounding up on the back end, that's fair. But it's not a very professional business practice to show up late and then call me from the truck to say they are here and then knock on my door at 9:48 and then proceed to charge me $75 dollars for 12 minutes of nothing. This shows a serious lack of integrity and a fraudulent business practice. As a United States Army Veteran I cannot recommend this business. If you are a Veteran, or have a member of your family that is a Veteran, avoid this place like the plague. read more

I used All Around Moverz to move last week. The two gentleman that came out did an excellent job. Each piece of furniture was wrapped in plastic to protect it from scratches. The guys were on time and completed a fairly large move in a short amount of time. When I received the total amount due at the end of the move, I was shocked at how reasonable it was. Grace(owner) takes extreme pride in her company and it shows. She was in touch with me throughout the entire process from setting up the move date to the end of the move. They also arrived on time and loaded and unloaded the truck pretty fast. The price was also very reasonable. I moved from an apartment to a storage unit 3 years ago. An entire 1 bedroom into a 5x10 unit. I was a little presumptuous in that everything would fit. But, and I'm so sorry but I can't remember their names, the two guys that packed it, PACKED it. Literally, it looked like a game of Tetris. I just moved everything out of the unit myself with my mom. And everything was so strategically packed, and carefully packed, not a scratch on anything. I can't even begin to explain how impressed I am by how they packed the hell out of this unit and didn't scratch or break anything. The ONLY note I have is to wrap/cover the mattresses/box springs but hey, I'm not mad at all. Thank you guys, so much!! I called your company to let them know how well you did, and the woman I spoke to said she'd let you know about this review. THANK YOU. You made moving again so easy. I've attached pictures of my mom standing in the fully packed unit after a good deal of stuff had already been taken out. By the way, we packed a 15 foot uhaul with everything in the unit. I had a last minute move to prepare for literally within a 2-3 week timeframe. I quoted movers in my city and it was well over $600 (2 BR apt) so I did a last ditch attempt on Yelp to get several quotes at once. Other places were higher or didn't even bother responding. As I was online about to book a U-Haul and find a couple of friends to pay, the lovely Ms. Grace sent me the most DETAILED quote that was absolutely way cheaper than everyone else. Called her on Monday, they came out today (Thursday) no issues! She is extremely pleasant and takes pride in her business. I even had to reschedule my move time this morning from 8am to 9am and they accommodated me. The 2 gentleman that showed up were very professional and took care of all my items. They even so kindly hauled away my trash and old mattresses I needed to throw out. As a single mom on a limited income, I must tell you that this company was a blessing for sure. The only gripe I had was during initial quote I had asked for mattress covers and was told they'd be available but during the move they didn't have them. Aside from that nothing was broken and all items were in tact. I see that some ppl aren't fond of the way they charge per hour, but with the total price I paid there's def no complaints from me! I saved well over $200 using AAM. Thank you Ms. Grace and your team for making this stressful move easy for me, I will def call them again when I relocate and will also refer to friends. She communicated with both my husband and me. The moving team worked extremely hard and were so very polite in the midst of such tough work! We just used All Around Moverz last weekend based on a good experience my daughter had last year. The three-man crew worked tirelessly for 6 hours to fit together our whole-house move one truckload and then unpack it at our new home. Everything came through great on the other end. They even moved some previously purchased items in the new home to and from the basement and offered to move the furniture around in rooms until we were satisfied with placement. The company was easy to deal with and the crew was professional. The total price was quite affordable. I did not bother to price shop this time around as when we moved 11 years ago, the quote was far higher. ($770 for this company as opposed to $1200 eleven years ago for another company). I was so excited to hire All Around Moverz after I spent a week convincing my boyfriend that hiring people to pack our POD was absolutely necessary for our move from Wilmington to Denver. I knew that I would be very upset and even more anxious if I arrived to a new city with damaged furniture. So after some researching and PODs' recommendation for this company we settled on them to help us load. Although I was not present for the loading of the POD(perhaps the first mistake). The day went fine. However, it wasn't until our POD arrived that we realized that this company was not committed to excellence nor were expert packers. As can be expected with a POD, a few of the cheaper decorations and furniture were destroyed due to the nature of a POD (my cheap bookcase ended up in pieces and another piece of furniture disintegrated). However, what disappointed me the most was that my expensive dresser had two holes on the top. Although, this item was wrapped in a moving blanket(you can see the moving blanket has rips), it appears that our tv stand was placed with its legs on the dresser rather than the top on the dresser. This damage was not the result of the POD but rather improper packing technique. I would have expected a company recommended by POD to realize that the weight of the tv stand might cause damage to the bottom item. The company claims that they are not responsible once the item is in the POD; however, I would argue that this damage specifically could have been avoided. I was offered $50, unfortunately this does not cover the item nor quoted repairs. The damage to the dresser gave me more moving anxiety which I was trying to avoid all along. I would not recommend this company especially if you need assistance with loading a POD. read more

I read the reviews and called. I received excellent service when I made my appointment...I wasn't extremely satisfied with my move and my forner review reflected that. TERRIBLE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! First off I requested a quote and talked to Grace on the phone multiple times about the date I needed to move. After securing the date and paying my deposit, she calls me two days later and tells me that she thought I said a totally different move in date. The email and confirmation that was sent to me even had the correct date I told her and was booked for. She then tells me she thought I said a different date, even though the email proves clearly I said what I said. So she then says well I can't do that date i'll have to refund your money. We recently moved (this past February). From start to finish they were EXCEPTIONAL. I have moved several times in my life. From Chicago to New Jersey, New Jersey to Delaware and now again within the state of Delaware just a different town. All I can say is wish all moving companies operated like All Around Moverz. From the very start working with Grace to the very end with the movers simply the best! Customer Service is something they could teach others. The movers where on time and professional, extremely courteous and may I say CLEAN. By that I mean they swept up behind themselves constantly (& it was snowing the day I moved). Everyone my husband and I encoutered with this company where just outstanding! I wish I knew about them with my past moves. But, if I ever move again ( I REALLY HOPE NOT).
