Three days ago we adopted a little dog, by little I mean under 3 pounds. We could not find a harness that fit so we decided to go here. The people there were wonderful. The found the perfect harness and made sure it fit properly before we bought it. We will certainly return there for anything our little princess needs. read more

I'm glad I didn't read reviews before I went shopping in this store. I needed a gravy type topper or broth to mix in with the prescription food I have to buy for one of my cat's finicky belly. She doesn't like the prescription food and I have to stand over her and pet and coo to her to get her to eat more than a few bites. I know the distress she goes through when trying to have a bowel movement (and sometimes succeeding) so I'm more than willing to do this for my little one. While browsing the aisles, I asked for help from an employee who was stocking the shelves (Cindy). She was extremely helpful, and actually knowledgeable about cat food products. She pointed out products from the low-end price range to the higher-priced (but better quality) toppers and broth and I settled on a product that actually has organ meat. In closing, I have only been to this store once (which was recommended by my local vet) but from my experience, if you had a bad experience before, I would give them another chance. Covid changed things. Businesses were stressed to the breaking point as were we, but I'm glad I went there and I will definitely shop there again. read more

Give it another go!! We have been here multiple times over the last 8 months and ALWAYS have a good experience. One of the managers told me this most recent time that the store did a full makeover internally and with staff because it was ran so poorly before. I'm guessing that's what the previous reviews were based on. They have a wide selection of anything you may need. We love it because of their dog food selection. They have a ton of natural stuff in all price ranges and the staff is always educated enough to make recommendations. read more

Customer today had no mask at the counter. When I asked the cashier to comply with the Oregon mandate she got nasty and started yelling "That is her choice) and something about Karma (nut case). 10/30/17 - Update Less than 1 star rating. Well, this business just lost me as a customer. I have been coming here for over a year now. We bought a dog harness on Saturday and I attempted to return it on Monday. The transaction was a debit charge, not credit card. I had the receipt, but was unable to get my money back, was offered a gift card instead. Bad customer service must be their business model since a written complaint to corporate resulted in no response whatsoever. CHEWY.com has extremely good customer service, the orders are always right and their prices are much lower. I bought for medicine from a small shop a few years ago. 60 bucks. It worked great. That place closed. I found the same product at mini per mart. Same price. It had a different color and was watery. It was also in smaller doses. It made him sick and did not work. Later I found the same product online for 25 bucks. So I figure they screwed me out of 40 bucks for an inferior product. I went in today looking for a simple flea collar. All they had was a 60$ brand. So, I looked at flea powder. They have a 12$ small can. The label reads, if you get this on your clothing discard them. I found regular old fashioned good brand flea collars online for a song. I will not recommend this store. I will not step foot in this store again. Also, I will research my shit better prior to purchasing. read more

I' d been a customer for years. Until very recently, the personnel greeted everyone entering the store. They went out of their way to be helpful. Now, it's as if it's a huge burden to assist customers. The spirit has gone out of the place, and I feel minor dread every time I go, which I do due to their supplies and pricing. I will, however, use other MPM's when I go to North Bend, Eugene, or Newport, which I do frequently. read more

Been coming to this particular Mini Pet Mart for the past 4 years now. It used to be when you walked in you were greeted and offered assistance at least once. I counted on the expertise regarding dog and cat foods that would cater to my pets' needs. They are wonderful usually at letting you know what foods are being discontinued and such so you don't get your furry friends something you have to change later. Recently, it seems theres been a change in the staff and now the whole vibe is completely off. The last several times we have been in the store we have not been greeted and this last time we asked if a particular cat food was in stock in the back as the shelf was empty. We had to ask for help. The gal seemed somewhat put out but went in the back to check. She comes out with 2 different cases of different food still wrapped in plastic wrap. We thanked her and she sets the food down on a cat tree and walks away. We picked one up unsure if we could open them. We chose a whole case and left. It wasn't the right stuff as it was kitten food and not senior cat food but I blame ourselves for not opening the cases and instead going by color. All in all...I love mini pet mart but I don't think I'd come back to this one again. The customer service is severely lacking here now and while anybody can do a job. Even great. Not everybody should be in customer service. read more
