Our room was large and has three beds. This was perfect for me and my two teenagers. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub. There is no breakfast. They have coffee and granola bars available for free. The carpets were dated. The hallways were dark. Reminded us of The Shining. The hot tub was very small. One of the lights had fallen out of the pool and was laying on the bottom of the deep end. We only paid $139 per night. Off season prices. We would stay here again. But I am not sure I would want to pay extra summer rates for a hotel that needs some updated.

We had no experience outside the ordinary. *It is an old building that has been rebuilt at 3 different times in history and to varying extent. *Stayed over 6/17-18/25 Room was a Queen room. Floors sloped, but expected given the age. The building is on one thermostat. We're from Florida and the room was uncomfortably warm. Window facing brick building next door so opening the window didn't allow for a breeze. There were 2 glasses on dresser but there was no ability to get water or ice. There is also no coffee in the Hotel. You would need to wait for restaurant to open at 11:00am. This made the stay uncomfortable and is the reason I can't give more 's. *Area for improvement would be to have limited refreshment access to Hotel guests and refresh the air quality as it was musty. *Onions restaurant has a nicely executed Menu. Which was 4/5's! Clams sweet and cooked perfectly but not all of the shells were open upon serving (which is a no-no). Haddock Salad had beautiful color and fresh julienned vegetables on hand and fish was crispy and not overcooked. *Tavern opposite of the Restaurant and has local Brew on Tap. 7 Taps and each really good! Beer lines tasted clean and temp was good. Beer tasted crisp and delicious. 5/5's. Parking very limited. Satellite lot approximately 2 blocks down on same side of street.

The man at the front desk spent more time on the phone with (what sounded like) his wife, making odd and presumptive comments about me--while I was standing right there. It took over 30 minutes just to get my room key. Unfortunately, check-out was no better--another 30 minutes wasted on what should've been a simple process. To make matters worse, I was asked to write down my credit card number on a piece of paper because their system was down. Absolutely not. That is a huge security concern and incredibly inappropriate!! For the price I paid for a two-night stay, this experience was unacceptable. Hospitality 101: treat your guests with professionalism and respect. Sadly, this inn failed miserably on that front. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, and I will not be returning. Do better.

From start to "Finni" ... I recommend Wake Winni!…read more Our crew of 8 got to spend 6 exhilarating hours with Captain Josh and Captain Dominic of Wake Winni. The Wake Winni team picked is up at our dock and promptly took our tour of eight out on the waters of Lake Winne for 6 hours. We skied, tubed and "surfed some tasty wake" while have a great day on the water. Josh and Dom are expert navigators of the waters of Lake Winnipesaukee and great hosts. The are also great instructors. We had a few kids and a couple beginners in our group and Josh and Dom were patient and skilled at providing instructions and at one point even got on the surf board with one of our kids to get them up and surfing! Great price point for a waterfront cottage. The cottage itself (#9) was great for me and my dog, and could easily have accommodated a couple of my adult children for a nights visit. Located in the center of everything, Channel Cottages is a great spot for a Winnipesaukee Vacation! I'll be back again!

The theatre itself is beautiful, the seating is comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is a little bit of a walk, but if you allow yourself time before the show, you should be fine. Tucked into the corner of the basin of Lake Winnipesaukee with easy access to the "big lake," but all the quiet of a much smaller lake, this spot is truly a gem. It's easy to fall in love with Sunset Lodges while reading on their large dock, waterskiing around the basin or enjoying a refreshing swim. The cabins are charming, with big windows that look out on the lake and large stone fireplaces to help warm you up on a chilly evening. We also really enjoy that the lovely town of Wolfeboro is just a few minutes down the road, making shopping for groceries or grabbing a quick breakfast out very convenient. This is a great place for families and groups of people vacationing together.

We only stayed here because they refused to let my friend cancel her reservation with several…read moremonths' notice, but allowed her to transfer it to me. The site we stayed on (113) is the only transient site with a view that isn't on a busy road. It's super rocky and the water spigot flows into the only area flat enough to pitch a tent, but the view and proximity to attractions made it worth it. (FYI the "beach" is minuscule and always crowded.) The price was reasonable, and the people were friendly, so we rebooked for next year. After paying our deposit and securing the same site for next year we ordered a custom base for our tent to elevate it off the rocks and protect it from the water flow. Three days after it shipped, Paugus Bay Campground called to cancel our reservation with some story about dates shifting because of Bike Week, but when we agreed to take whatever dates were available they admitted they were giving our reservation to people who've been staying there longer and that we wouldn't be getting that site again. I understand taking care of your regulars, but they took the reservation and our deposit. Now we're out $800 for equipment we ordered specifically for this site, and when I tried to explain that Sue (?) nastily told me "That's not our problem." It disgusting that there were no cancellations allowed for my friend, but that my reservation is meaningless and I was essentially told to go f**k myself. I'm sure it's lovely to stay here if you've been doing so for decades, but there is no hospitality here for newcomers.
