Shopping in New York City, New York... We were walking around Times Square in the Theater District when I saw the red and white "Miniso" sign. I first learned about this store from my Los Angeles friends. Many years later, Miniso arrived in Hawaii! Not all Miniso shops are the same. For example, the Miniso in China had lower prices! ...and the Miniso in Las Vegas had Brown and Cony items! Who knew! Anyway, this New York location had Miffy - she's the white rabbit from Amsterdam! Ooh! So cute! I had to get a plushie and a keychain! Haha! I'll be back if I'm in the area again!

There are Miniso stores in Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa, North America, and South America. This Miniso store is located on W 42nd St & 7th Ave in New York, NY and is the first U.S. flagship store that opened in May 2023. Out of all the Miniso stores I've visited, this is by far the largest I've been to. The store is very organized and there are dedicated zones that include licensed collections from brands such as Sanrio, Disney, and Pokemon; blind box collectibles; toys; plushies; fragrances; accessories; makeup tools; snacks; electronic; gifts; and stationery. I enjoyed walking around the store and looking around. I purchased a cute capybara keychain for $7.99 and a Miffy and Bear plushie for $18.99. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend coming in and checking Miniso out.

This location is 2 stars out of 5, compared to other Miniso locations. Miniso is a worldwide chain of stores that sells toys, stationary, cosmetics, snacks, kitchen and household items for cheap. Being in Times Square, this location is meant for tourists and is mainly just toys and snacks. For all their other usual products you'd expect, this place is not for that.

Always a great store to go. So much more things to choose from and buy at this location as it is located in times square. The staff were very busy, yet pleasant and helpful enough. All the little girls in the store were just overwhelmed with choice. Definitely a place to go if youve never been or have just never been to one that caters to a high tourist population.

This is probably the biggest and most spacious Miniso location ever in NYC. Has a huge and various selection of toys, blind boxes, stationary, drink ware (tumblers, water bottles, glass mugs, thermos, etc), household items, daily life products, snacks and drinks, headphones, keyboards, plushies, umbrellas, nail polish, makeup, skincare, fragrance, scent diffusers, tote bags, utensils, plates and bowls, power banks, lamps, fans, spa headbands and so on. I think it's a great place to pick gifts for your friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances, and significant others since there're lots of variety of things to choose. Price range varies from cheap to moderate to expensive, all depending on how well you know your prices compared to other brands and retailer stores. Sometimes, they even have sales. I just love going to Miniso to try on different shades of nail polish, squeezing and feeling how soft the plushies are, and buying blind boxes especially the We Bare Bears and Toy Story series. Great place to spend some time just to look around (window shopping). Fast service from friendly staff. Accepts cash and credit/debit card at the cashiers; while accepting credit/debit card + Apple Pay by the self checkout booths/machines. I like to drop by from time to time and see what kind of new things they might have that would interest me (in buying). Conveniently located right across the street from the subway station.

This was the largest Miniso I've visited and I really loved how they partnered with Sanrio. I am a huge Hello Kitty fan, and I was impressed with the very large collection of Hello Kitty items! They have plushies, cosmetics, toiletries, snacks, storage containers, and many more! I had to use a lot of self-restraints to refrain from buying everything Hello Kitty in the store. It helped that I had very limited luggage space! The store was very clean and organized. For the great value and selection, it was very easy to get carried away and pile up on Hello Kitty stuff!

My 9 year old loves this store. We left with a few plushies, bath and beauty items, snacks and drinks. They had a DJ inside playing great music and engaging with customers. The store has toys, plushies, toiletries, snacks, drinks, hair, makeup and tons of stuff to decorate and organize a kids room and maybe adults too. I grabbed a Chi Forest lychee drink that was really good. A bit crowded but lots of stuff at a pretty reasonable price.

Cute store in the heart of Times Square where all the tourists visit and a whole lot of food traffic. Recently opened in May and came here opening weekend. They have all the cutest stuff from stuffed plushed animals, accessories, toys, bags, aroma diffusers (Lily of the Valley smelled good, which I purchased one). As you walk in there's a cute huge penguin to take picture of or with. Even though it does get fairly packed, check out is easy. Either online or self checkout with staff there to assist. Opening weekend, received Cute Miniso Times Square bag with purchase.

This is their third location in NYC (their other locations are in Soho and Flushing) and probably the biggest one out of the three. Since they only opened up about 2 weeks ago, they have a lot of items in stock (for now). I picked up a pair of the cinnamoroll slippers that were sold out at their other locations. They have a wide selection of Sanrio items in stock in addition to other things like snacks, plushies, sunglasses, aroma diffusers, blind boxes etc. Basically a little bit of everything you might need. This place also has self checkout which the other two locations don't have.

The New Minso store is their flagship right in the middle of Times Square, on 42nd St. The place is vast and big and jam pack with items from toys, plushies, stationery, games, electronics, and more. I am sure the place will be a hit with tourists who don't have these Japanese, or Chinese stores where they come from. The place is perfect if you got kids because there is so much to see here.

Nice cool store with a lot of Sanrio items. Everything is on the expensive side. I got a Sanrio sandal for $16.99 and they charge me sales. When I asked the cashier why I was charged sales tax on a shoe item, she said they charge sales tax in New York and not in New Jersey. I did want to argue with her over a few dollars but was extremely disappointed. Hopefully they fix this situation in the future.

I passed by this cute store a couple of times as I was in times Square for Broadway shows. My friend who came with me for this one visit is a huge fan of hello kitty items, so she was thrilled. I finally went inside with her, and she got tons of things. I know there's other chains, but this specific location I heard is bigger and is more organized. The stuff that the store has ranges from food, drinks, makeup, anime stuff, and etc... I think this place is better than a toy store.

Very extensive selections of items - home goods, stationary, cute toys and plushies, snacks, drinks, and many many more! Can get very crowded and crammed...but that's to be expected though given it's right at time square!

We made a significant purchase. ($3.000) The very next day many of the items purchased went on sale. I was notified of the sale via emails direct from Alice & Olivia. Sadly, I left town and could not assist with the adjustment. I asked my daughter to return to the store for an adjustment since it was less than 12 hours since our initial purchase. She went to the store for an adjustment with her receipt. The store manager, Danni gave my daughter the run around regarding her adjustment. She was told she needed the receipt and the clothing. My daughter had to return to the store again with the receipt and clothing in hand the next day. Danni gave her the run around again. She did not want to honor the adjustment but finally did. I had to call and speak with Danni on the phone to make this happen. Danni said she was following store policy. I googled the store adjustment policy and it lists a 7 day adjustment policy. The adjustments we were requesting was day # 2 & # 3 after the sale. The worst part about this whole experience is my daughter is physically handicapped. She had to make two additional trips to the store for an adjustment. As a mother of a handicapped daughter, this shocked me at how insensitive Danni handled the entire situation. Danni can see my daughter is physically handicapped! If the adjustment return policy is to have the receipt and clothing in hand it should be listed on the A &O website. It is not. I feel Danni needs sensitivity training. She could have handled the adjustment request much differently especially seeing my daughter is handicapped. This will be the last time I purchase anything from this location. The purchase which was a good experience turned into an awful one.

They're owned by Urban Outfitters which also owns Free People so the adjacencies between the aesthetics, products and target consumers make sense. They're geared toward the mid 20s to mid-40s age range, and prices tend to be on the mid to higher side for this type of product. A large fake Christmas tree is placed in the center when first walking inside through the entrance. Then, a huge red escalator of heading up and down to each floor is behind the tree. Additionally. everything's either being neatly organized or stacked on most of the shelves and inside drawers except for a couple of areas here and there. The price range is reasonable for most apparel items besides the thick puffer jackets + sweaters + graphic tees. Even though there seem to be signs for the fitting room and cashiers/self-checkout, it's still pretty confusing to walk around and find stuff imo because of how large the Uniqlo space is. I have to flag down and ask different staff about the whereabouts of cashiers as I'm paying with cash. There's a bit of a line for those paying by cash despite several 5-6 cashiers being present while no line at all for self-checkout (card only). No line for the fitting room though. Generally, staff is shown as helpful + amiable + patient in a professional manner towards customers. My favorite section is probably by the heattech area. There're 3 various heattech types of warmth for both adults and children. Of course you can wear whichever layer as you please at the end of the day. All the desired temperatures are simply suitable for preferred reference anyway. The Original (Mild Weather) - 5°C to 20°C or 41°F to 68°F Extra Warmth (Colder Days) - -5°C to 15°C or 23°F to 59°F Ultra Warm (Extreme Cold) - -20°C to 10°C or -4°F to 50°F I think The Original layer of heattech is already pretty warm for the 30s-40s temperature here in NYC. The fabric is the thinnest in material. Very comfy to wear without being too stuffy on the inside. I bought two long sleeved heattech pieces today ($19.90 each). They also come in different colors and styles that might be suited to the personal taste of each and every customer. I'm not sure if they have a restroom for the public, will have to search for it next time...

I was greeted by Marie, who showed me one of the coats that I loved on sight. I turned and was instantly riveted by a magnificent sapphire blue coat dress displayed on a mannequin. Full disclosure --- Dressing rooms trigger the worst of my claustrophobic reactions. As though she could read my mind, Marie whisked a medium sized dress (size selected by me) over my turtleneck and trousers. It was gorgeous, but the fit didn't meet my high expectations. Marie instantly recognized that I should be in a size small, and in a matter of seconds had me in the smaller size. Cinderella's reaction to her Fairy Godmother's fashion magic couldn't have been more joyous than mine when I saw myself in the full length mirror. As a woman in the 7th decade of life, I can state with hard-earned authority, this was easily the most transformative experience I've ever had in my long career as a fashionista. Fast forward, I wore the dress to an event of Friday. I've had custom made dresses that didn't fit every inch of my body like this one, or flatter my figure as perfectly. Equally amazing is that the dress is so comfortable, I didn't want to take it off when I got home. On a scale of one to ten, everything about the experience --- the service, the quality of the fabric and the magic of the perfect tailoring scores off the scale to an easy 20 points.
