The prices are great, too! I had called a couple of photo places beforehand and found that the Shoppers Drug Mart near me charges more than 2x what Kingdom Photo charges for the digital citizenship application photo. And, I appreciated that over the phone, the photographer advised me to not wear white when coming in for the photo, because the photo background will be white -- it was a good tip! I 100% recommend Kingdom Photo, and I will be coming back in the future for passport photos.

The photos are unprofessional and overpriced. TRUST ME! If you want photos with UBC regalia (Grad gowns), you will have the opportunity to get professional photos at your graduation ceremony! UBC has its own PROFESSIONAL photographers who will take a few photos of you on stage during the ceremony. They will email you later and you can purchase them for MUCH LESS than Evangelos, with better quality and a more professional look! If you're not sure, check with your department! I WISH I had known this before falling into Evangelos' trap and spending $500 on photos that I now hate looking at! I only show people the ones I took with my cell phone at the ceremony--not the awful ones from Evangelos! SUPER overpriced (1 digital photo for $45, which doesn't even include a printed version!), low-quality photos with zero retouching or refinement! The photographers do not seem to be professional; they just tell you to try a few poses, and you'd definitely get better photos with your own cell phone, because they will not spend any time on retouching your photos after they take them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! I was so disappointed after waiting so long to get my photos, only to find that even my 8-year-old nephew could have done a better job!!! I was forced by UBC to come here for my grad photo. They took a $45 cash deposit, and their shady policy requires you to go in person to reclaim your deposit within 60 days. Even if you are a few days past the deadline, they will NOT return it--even if you've already purchased their overpriced packages! This actually happened to me. Evangelos put me through months of begging to get my deposit back, even after I had paid $500 for a photo package! I was 6 days late in asking for my deposit back because I assumed they would deduct it from the package price, but they didn't. I paid online and had to go to their store several times to explain the situation. Each time, they told me their main manager wasn't there and promised to follow up via email to see if they can return my deposit--but they NEVER did. After a few in-person visits and emailing them, I called the store to follow up. A woman with an accent answered the phone and was extremely rude. She told me that because I was 6 days late for asking my deposit back, it was their policy not to return deposits, and there's nothing she can do. I explained that I just made a mistake and I was only 6 days late, had already paid them $500, and that I'm just a student in a tough financial situation. She was SO rude and patronizing, saying, "Doesn't matter; everybody here is a student, ma'am." I said this was terrible customer service and told her I would share my experience with other students. She replied, "Doesn't matter; go tell whoever you want!" I couldn't believe how rude she was. Then I went to the store the day after, and confronted them in the store in front of another customer, explaining how tired I was of all the back-and-forth, the poor service, and the stress. The staff member at the counter said she would "try her best." A day later, I finally got my deposit back, but only after months of stress, being patronized by their staff, and wasting $500 on photos I'll never show anyone!

I ran diagnostics and found out the memory is damaged. The worst part is that this model has the memory soldered directly onto the motherboard, meaning it cannot be easily replaced. In practical terms, the laptop is basically useless. When I confronted the owner, his response was that unfortunately for me, the laptop had reached the end of its life. That is not an acceptable answer after selling something as "refurbished." From my experience, this business appears to be selling old laptops that should probably be recycled, reinstalling an operating system, and presenting them as refurbished machines. In my opinion, the owner, Farshid, is not an honest businessman. I feel completely misled and ripped off. Do not waste your money here. Do not trust this business.

Quicksilver is closed on Sunday and Monday, so on Tuesday morning I got up early and went downtown. I arrived at around 8:45am even though I knew that Quicksilver did not open until 10am. I wanted to be there as early as possible. I parked in the business's designated parking space behind the building and waited. At 9:57 I got out of my car and walked around the building to Quicksilver's front door. I could see people inside and I assumed it was open, so I walked in. I was immediately scolded by the woman working there. She told me I was early and that I would have to wait. She did a few little things behind the counter while I stood there. Then at some point she checked her watch (or phone) an announced that it was now 10am and asked me what I needed. I said I am from out of town and was hoping to get a photo printed prior to my departure the next morning. Wow! I barely had those words out of my mouth before the angrily exclaimed "No Way!!" She spoke to me so harshly I was taken aback. I had not even finished my question. I actually stood there speechless for a few seconds. At that point she followed up with "if you really want it today, it will be a $100 rush fee and maybe I can get it by the end of the day." Look I get it - People are busy and my priorities are not their priorities. I also understand that there is apparently no local competition in this space. But it was one photo and she did not have to be so rude. I work in a service industry and try to help people whenever I can. It actually makes me happy when I can help someone. I immediately left Bellingham, drove to Vancouver (Vancouver Photo Lab) where a very nice man printed it while I waited. I turned around, drove back to Bellingham and I was back in town by 2:00pm. I had the mat and frame ready to go and I had it finished and on his wall by by 4pm. Left the next morning for Seattle at 4:30am. I strongly don't recommend Quciksilver.
