I realize…read morethis is a specialty item and expect to pay a fairly high price compared to a typical large format print. I didn't read or hear back from anyone throughout the day. So I waited until 4 PM and called and asked if they had a chance to quote my request. I was redirected to a another person who started asking me if I wanted a blueprint. I said no. I explained what I needed again. He started getting very loud and and kept asking the same questions. When I explained what I need the print for, hoping this context would explain it better, he insisted on telling me who knows what I want and he deals with architects all the time. The problem is he did so in an aggressive and loud tone...and he kept using the word blueprint. I tried explaining that we haven't used blueprint technology for decades but we wouldn't even let me speak. I then politely asked if he could stop yelling. He ignored. I then asked if someone else could help. He said he was the only guy who could help. I apologized for getting him all riled up (for no reason I could understand) and that I would just call someone else. He seemed totally deaf and didn't care. I still don't know how the conversation got to that state. I hung up totally confused. Maybe he just had a really bad day?

Visited staples in Salem MA this evening. I have to start by saying that there is a great group of…read moreworkers at this location that are very helpful everytime I have visited. Today was very disappointing, there was a girl which I wish I had noticed her name tag but unfortunately did not. She was (fairly young,had long hair/ tan complexion,possibly Asian) working at the counter nearest to the printers handling boxes and shipments. I have always had a positive experience at this location until today. I asked her a simple question and she was so bothered and rude to me as my husband was a witness. This is not how you treat customers. A lot of my neighbors/friends/& myself regularly visit this Staples location because of its proximity to home. She needs retraining with her customer service skills because they are poor and lacking experience. Please do so soon or have her working in a non-facing customer position, this way she has little interaction with customers in the store. One of my neighbors who is elderly mentioned to me she had a negative experience with this worker as well. It seems this is not unusual for her. Hopefully I will have a better experience next time as I have in the past. I plan to try to avoid dealing with this employee whenever visiting this store in the future. Staples corporate leaders should be aware of this embarrassing and offensive behavior.

I can't say my job was particularly complicated, nor did it require any prep work on Minuteman's…read morepart, but still: I had an extremely quick turnaround rush poster job I needed to be printed and everyone came through for me and then some! As a graphic designer I'd already gotten everything laid out for them on a USB drive (and called in advance) but they basically dropped whatever else was going on in order to get it done within the hour. Everyone there was both friendly and polite for every step of the way. While I was there they even offered some of their own seating*, which I declined, but was a friendly gesture. The print quality of the poster was excellent, with near perfect color accuracy, and lastly they didn't charge a rush fee (which I was fully prepared to accept). *The aspect would be one area for obvious improvement at this location was the interior space: It feels pretty barebones in terms of comfort and presentation, and I was surprised that they haven't leveraged their printing capabilities to bring in a little color into the space. A few poster examples framed on the walls, an interesting banner perhaps, along with a simple but comfortable bench in the front would give a more "established" first impression. That said, it's the quality and service that counts most, and on those counts they are solid.
