The staff is friendly, if overwhelmed at times, and tends to have a positive attitude. There is always someone supervising and tidying the dining area. The drive-through service is so popular, the line never seems to shorten. Because inching along in an idling car does not appeal, I nearly always go inside and use the table service. After taking a seat, I log on to the free WiFi service, open the McDonald's app, enter my order, select the table-service option, enter the table number marked on a silver disk, and pay with my linked credit card. I read emails till a staffer brings the order directly to me. The table-service option appeals especially to those of us who'd prefer to forgo the ritual of hovering around the pickup window with other customers, waiting for our numbers to be called. The app also offers the option to park in a designated mobile-phone space near the entrance and have the staff bring your order outside to you. I can't comment on the meals, because I rarely come for more than a coffee break. But one bonus at this Scottish establishment is that a large coffee and pocket pie are half of what Starbuck's would charge for something similar. Thrifty, eh?
