This practice wants large, fast turn-overs now. I have a shoulder with a "mechanical" injury in addition to the arthritis in the shoulder. I pulled these muscles and the result is extremely painful. X-rays were ordered. Fine. Good medical practice. When Dr. Warnock came in he would not listen to what had happened, assumed it was arthritis and ordered physical therapy for arthritic shoulders and that was it. He missed the entire problem. I will never go back. He can rush others through this factory now. I am 8 weeks out and still in tremendous pain. He has made me worried I may come across another physician who simply wants more patients through the mill.

Outpatient surgeries are done both at St. Luke's and at an outpatient surgical center near the Galleria. Dr. Labbé is very nice, easygoing and personable, and so far, the knee seems to be doing well (only 3 months out). His staff is very professional - Marla was super nice and patient when I was deciding where to have the surgery done, as I wanted to double check everything with my insurer to make sure everything would be in-network.

Between those two surgeries, I've had multiple gel injections and used their physical therapy department. I've never had anything but excellent service and results. I am terrified of surgeries, but Dr. George is the best. He explained everything completely, answered all my questions, and was very patient. His PA, Joel is the same. Their office took care of absolutely everything for me - insurance, setting up my pre-surgical appointment with my primary care doctor, all lab testing scheduled, the surgery scheduled at TOPS surgical center and sending me home with a CPM machine, walker, orthopedic stockings, knee immobilizer, and my home physical therapy and follow up appointments arranged and scheduled. Every tiny detail taken care of ahead of time! It was such a great relief. TOPS surgical center in Houston was incredible as well. Before the surgery, you attend a post op training and meet the nursing staff, the physical therapist (Alfred - awesome guy!) and the anesthesiologist. They literally give you a notebook and explain absolutely everything you need to know about what's going to happen before, during and after surgery. All of my questions were answered. Now, I am 6 weeks post op and doing physical therapy at the KSF Willowbrook office. Everything is going better than I ever imagined and I'm starting to see a future with a knee that bends! Thank you, Dr. George. You are the best! Dr. George also performed 2 shoulder surgeries on my husband and he was just as pleased with his experience with KSF and Dr. George and TOPS. I have been going here since 2000. I have had one surgery by Dr. Cannon and 3 by Dr. Shah, so this…read morewill be primarily about Dr. Shah even though my experience with Dr. Cannon in 2001 was the same. I am amazed to see so many one star reviews but realize that people are going in with problems that are painful and not always 100% repairable. I have never experienced the staff issues with either Dr. Cannon or Dr. Shah's staffs. Dr. Cannon did my right shoulder in May of 2001 and I was back to original strength and flexibility as before my damage. In 2008, I had my left bicep detached at the forearm due to me thinking that I was much younger than my years playing volleyball. Dr. Shah re-attached it and the recovery was smooth and complete. In 2010, I tore my left medial meniscus in my knee while bowling. I went back to Dr. Shah and again the results were excellent. He advised me that I have a fair amount of arthritis in that knee so to be aware that there could be ongoing issues. We introduced a treatment of SyncVisc not long after surgery and I have not had any issues since. In 2012, I re-injured my right shoulder (old on the outside, young in the mind). This time to Dr. Shah. The recovery was long being in an abduction pillow, however, with excellent phyical therapy downstairs, I was back to 100% being able to do anything that I used to in time. I re-injured that right shoulder again 18 months ago while working overseas (fall in my apartment) and now finally getting the time to get at it. Today, from the time that I checked in until I saw the doctor was 8 minutes! When does that ever happen? I will get an MRI to check current level of damage but would not think of going anywhere else for my surgery.

During a recent appointment, they were unexpectedly informed that they owed money for braces, which had already been paid for. This misinformation was not only confusing but also upsetting. Additionally, the staff's communication was unprofessional. They spoke to my father in a condescending manner, questioning his ability to pay despite his background as an eight three-year veteran. This approach was disrespectful and unnecessary. Our elderly community should be treated with dignity and respect. To make matters worse, my father has reached out to the office manager multiple times but has received no response. This lack of follow-up further undermines our confidence in this practice. He has worked hard, never paid a bill late, from a generation where your word is your bond. I would recommend exploring other options for orthopedic care. We have a fantastic medical center in The Woodlands that prioritizes compassion and respect for their patients. Unfortunately, this practice has not met those standards. ---

Dr. Hammit, for example, specializes in shoulder treatment and surgery. Dr. Leahy specializes in spinal treatments and surgery. There can be extended wait times for office appointments, but this is understandable given the nature of their medical practice. If I or one of my children breaks a bone, I want them to be seen first. The office staff is usually good about letting you know if a longer wait can be expected due to an emergency, and I appreciate that.
