I explained that the original zipper was small and discreet, and it needed to match. The woman working there dismissed my concern, telling me, "I know, shes a professional." When I picked it up again, the new zipper was huge, completely wrong for the dress, and looked ridiculous. They again promised to fix it. Two more weeks go by, and when I returned to finally pick it up, it still wasn't fixed. This has been a frustrating, time-consuming, and incredibly disappointing experience. I indicated that I wanted the hem to hit below the butt and the attendant pinned it there. No curvature to the hem, nothing special, just straight across. My 11-year-old niece could have done it. When I went to pick it up, the hem was at the hip. It's at least six inches too short. It looks ridiculous and I won't be able to wear it. Ruined and irreplaceable.

I've been coming to Nancy for a few years to get alternations and never had any issues until…read morerecently. I took my dress to Nancy to get it hemmed and it did not turn out the way I liked. There were two areas that needed to be corrected, the shoulder and the length of the dress (it was too long). The shoulder was corrected, and I have no issue with her correcting that part of the dress. However, the length of the dress was too short, and the stitching was sloppy. The seams had uneven curves and were not straight. It looks like a non-experienced person who worked on it. I had to find an alternate route to wear the dress. I ended up wearing flats and that made me feel self-conscious. I spent $60 to have the dress fix and it is upsetting that my expectation was not met. Needless to say, I will not be a returning customer. (I will share photos later.)
