I've been volunteering at Minnie's for almost 7 months and I must say that it is one of the best places I've volunteered at. This summer my son started volunteering with me as well and he loves it too! It is a fun place to volunteer and to make a difference in your community. The volunteers at Minnie's are like family because the owners of Minnie's encourage a light-hearted, loving, and caring environment in which to work. Every client that walks through Minnie's door is treated with dignity and respect. All areas of the pantry are kept clean and is well organized. The food given to the clients is not expired, in good physical shape and must be something that people would want to eat. It is obvious that the founder had a vision of a place that serves the community and is operated by individuals who care about those they serve. I love volunteering at Minnie's and will continue to volunteer in the future!!

I came here on a volunteer event with my co-workers and enjoyed the experience. We had to be there at 7:50 a.m and from the time we got there to our departure, everyone was nice and seemed really appreciative of our presence . There was a good turn out so they split us up to do many things, including making care packages, organizing food, moving crates and boxes and assembling a thanksgiving box. I put together care packages and though it was a bit unorganized in the beginning, it was enjoyable and they kept us entertained with music. It was rewarding to participate I'll definitely be coming back on my own time.

Great place to volunteer. Truly servant leader hearts and a loving place led by passionate leaders. They inspire others by their example. Donate your time, money, or food here and you know it will be distributed to families who will be welcomed like a VIP on the red carpet and receive service with a warm hug and smile. You cannot help but dance to the inspiring music as you sort and stack donated food or help carry food to cars. Their spirit of giving and joy is contagious!

Fantastic place helping families in need!!! It was so humbling to volunteer with my company. I would love to go back and help again soon.

The things that are more expensive you truly feel like they are good quality and a decent value. They have a lot of produce that you wouldn't see anywhere else. The bakery is legit and has awesome cakes and breads. Snacks and dried goods imported from all over the world. They have a really nice selection of flowers that they'll beautifully wrap up for you. Plus the cafe has really good food. We always get pizza and it's great quality for a great price. They also have a playground for little ones. Shopping at Central Market is truly a one of a kind experience and I always leave feeling excited about the new and unique things they have. They frequently have special events and themes too. I remember a few years ago they did one on Portugal and had a bunch of imported Portuguese items and they made Portuguese bread and pastries in the bakery. It was amazing.

Once you walk in, it is kind of sensory overload. There is a "food court" right up front with several options. Hamburgers, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, sushi, gelato, and more. Plenty to choose from. I also went back to the bakery and checked out their assorted baked goods. I was underwhelmed. They looked phenomenal but they were average size, etc. But the prices were outrageous. More expensive that San Diego prices which kind of surprised me. I ended up getting a hamburger. The chef was very nice, friendly, made me laugh. He built me a fantastic bleu bonnet burger. It was tasty, flavorful, filling. It was cooked a little more than I would normally want, but still yummy. the Brioche Bun was good, but did fall apart a little bit. Maybe warming it on the grill had something to do with that. I went with a combo that included a drink cup for the help yourself drink station. The drink station had interesting flavors I have never seen before, and some old standards like coke, diet coke, sprite. The combo also included crinkle cut fries. They were warm, golden brown, delicious but they were a little overdone. Definitely needed some ketchup to help eat them. The staff at the checkout lines were smiling, laughing, friendly, and when they had to check out one of their coworkers, you could see the strong camaraderie amongst the employees. It looks like a fun place to work and the team works well together. I got dessert at another place in town. Enjoy the photos.

My parents lived in Garland so I'd visited the Walnut Hill & 75 location over the years and liked it, other than the fact that they're not allowed to sell hard liquor which is a BIG BUMMER but not the store's fault. I went to this location around 2pm on a weekday and it was BUSTLING! The selection was pretty good and just about everything on my list was in stock. The store is super clean and well stocked by happy, helpful and smiling employees as always. There were even plenty of shopping carts and baskets available which is never the case in downtown San Francisco. The lines were very manageable even though the store was packed with shoppers. My cashier informed me that this is the busiest location in the DFW area, but I'd argue that the Walnut Hill location is just as busy. I was thrilled that the lines don't snake around halfway down the aisles like those for a theme park roller coaster as they do in SF.

The posts all said how great the customer service is, the prices, the whole vibe. So, I thought I would give it a shot, and the prices and the quality of products did not disappoint. I only gave it three stars because the only two customer service people I came in contact with were not friendly at all. For example, when I checked out, the cashier handed me the receipt, made no eye contact, did not acknowledge me in any way. Major pet peeve of mine. Having said that, the ketchup flavored potato chips are amazing!
