Have had two deliveries from Green Vine Market so far. And they have been 10/10 so far! One day soon I'll actually make it in! I ordered a few things from the produce section and some from their kitchen. The kofta kobab combo with fries was amazing. The Palestinian couscous salad with dill dressing is also amazing! Right now, is the prime time to get sour plums and green almonds. They have been out of the sour plums when I've tried but they do have plenty of green almonds. Squeeze some lemon and salt and they are tasty! I loved that they had Topo Chico with lime in stock bc sometimes they will fly off the shelf elsewhere. The highlights here have to be the in house deli, bakery, bulk goods, and fresh garlic sauce on demand. Ordering is a little confusing the first time, especially since the workers are doing their own things and there are no signs or instruction. Theres a self serve computer kiosk you punch in your order, and then the staff will quietly put your food out on the other side of the where you paid. I got the kofta kabob and it was pretty good! Great store. It smells amazing! I pop in here every week to buy the Iraqi bread. They have an amazing selection of items. Store is super clean, smells amazing, friendly staff, safe (guarded) and interesting. I plan to get some halal chicken meat here to see if it tastes better than the meat at other stores. Decided to come here to do some grocery shopping because we know they have the best Halal meats but little did we know the deli had AMAZING FOOD! We got the Beef shawarma, the meat tasted so clean (consistent with the meat they sell in store which is amazing) and flavorful. Came with a side of sauce and fries for an extra $3 (I could've gone without it) they have a beautiful chill eating area inside and outside! This specialty market is a great quick lunch stop. In house made hummus and garlic sauce? Yes! Their kitchen offers Shawarmas, platters, chicken tikka and even lamb chops for less than $20, grey selection of Mediterranean goodies you would find in every aisle of this small market. Though Green vine looks bigger and send to carry more stuff. They have a very nice meat section. They carry already seasoned meats as well as just regular stuff. Then have a hot food section. This is probably the cleanest halal food market I've been to. Seriously, I was impressed! The meat selection is fantastic and they have a sizable produce section as well. My new go to halal store! We ordered food from the restaurant inside and it was ready by the time we were done shopping. The chicken shawarma was tasty but kind of small and it didn't have much chicken in it. Great little neighborhood grocery store! As to be expected, selection is limited but it's super fresh and offers a wide variety. What an amazing find in the Green Vine Market. New to the neighborhood we had to stop. Fresh and Clean in every aisle. A wonderful selection of fresh produce at reasonable prices. The bakery shelves were full of Turkish delights. We shopped the whole store finding many items new to our shopping list. Meat department offers Halal meat, which I had to stop and google what is Halal meat: Halal meat is reared--and slaughtered--differently from conventional meat. ... Like kosher food, Halal food is guided by religious criteria that govern everything from how the animals destined to be eaten are fed and raised, to how they are slaughtered and prepared for consumption. This is a little convenient grocery store if you live close by. Their fruits and veggies are reasonably priced which is great for my sometimes vegetarian diet. Very interesting grocery store and what I believe is the old Safeway. Turkish products I believe and the coffee is great. It's clean and well organized and lots of delights for the eyes and mouth. The hot food station seems to usually have 3 or so people, who consistently lack basic customer service. You can stand waiting to order for 5+ minutes without getting acknowledged, as if you don't exist. Last week waited a good 5 minutes at the ordering desk while the 3 workers tried to convince one another to come over and take my order. One brave soul finally came over and started helping but decided to attend to friend and leave me hanging. When I asked, I was told 'he has somewhere to go', as if I didn't at lunch hour on a weekday. Regardless it was unprofessional. This is my favorite middle eastern grocery store (and there a quite a few around.) You can order a shawarma sandwich for a reasonable price (even though there's kinda too much sauce on it.) I recommend getting the fries...just get the fries! The selection on the shelves is top notch, too. They include local drinks which is a nice touch with everyone wanting to shop local nowadays. They could have just stocked the fridge with cokes but they didn't. The bakery section is also impressive. Do not walk by this area if you are hungry. I got the Turkish delight and it was just that...a delight. All the employees are kind and the place is so CLEAN!
