Very disappointed to say the least by the customer service standards and results at Mint. Unfortunately, I would not recommend their laser treatments even if the price may be appealing. My results are not where they should be after 15+ sessions total. In addition to the unhelpful, unaccommodating, and cold demeanour of the receptionist, the quality of service by the technicians varies drastically between appointments. While some technicians were much more thorough than others, you have no control over who you see the day of your appointment. Getting an appointment is difficult unless you book 6-8 weeks in advance and re-scheduling is nearly impossible. With that being said, they cannot guarantee that you will receive an appointment reminder so make sure not to misplace your appointment card when do you finally get one. Judging by the comments left by other clients, my bad experience doesn't appear to be an exception. Spend your time and money elsewhere, Mint is not worth it. read more

This review is for the Liberty Village location (171 East Liberty St. #145). I bought a one year unlimited laser removal for 6 small areas, service was bad!!! cause they didn't even bother to give a towel after the treatment, they just gave u a few paper towel, and also reused the gel. I had an appointment today, and when I was already in the room getting ready, one of the technicians came in and told me that my Groupon had EXPIRED a few days ago!! and I was shocked cause NO ONE ever told me that when I booked the appointment!!! They said that they were very willing to do the treatment for me, BUT I had to either buy another Groupon or pay for today's service!!! I am really disappointed. And they didn't even apologize for their fault, and keep saying that they couldn't do it because my Groupon had expired!!! DO NOT EVER GO THERE!!IT IS BAD!!! I bought a groupon for 6 treatments of soprano XL hair removal on my underarms. I have fair skin and black hair. The clinic is small, clean, and the reception area is organized a bit like a spa. They seem to have a lot of coupon package clients, so the feeling is very much like they want to get you in and out as soon as possible. There is a very hurried feeling. The first time I went, it was okay. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The receptionist was a bit curt, and she clearly wasn't enthusiastic about her job, but no one was rude to me. The technician was professional and considerate. She explained briefly about the procedure, what to expect, how to prepare for appointments and so on. When I mentioned that the laser seemed a bit hot when she was doing my second arm pit, she made sure the treatment was a little less intense. I was in and out of the treatment room in about 10 minutes. The hair under my arms fell out in about 10 days and I only had to shave three times in the 6 weeks between my first appointment and the next. The second appointment was alarming. I got to the clinic at the same time as another lady and she went up to the receptionist first. The clinic had apparently not made correct annotations on her file, so she was abruptly asked a number of questions. The technician sorting the information didn't seem to care much what the answers were. Once I gave my name, I was directed to a treatment room by a totally different technician (not the same one as last time). Once I was on the treatment table, the technician revved up the machine and zapped me once with it. She then said something like, "this is another laser hair treatment machine called Duet. it does the same thing as the soprano XL, and has the same results, only you use the gel after this treatment, and the soprano uses gel before. You can go home and look it up on the internet if you don't believe me." No warning, no explanations. I hadn't spotted it before because I have terrible eye sight and had to take my glasses off to put on the sunglasses she gave me. I'm okay with being treated by the Duet system, but I am not okay with them not telling me in advance. I'm not experiencing any negative side effects, so I don't think there's a problem with their technical competance in operating the machines. At this point, I've booked my third appointment, but I'm not sure if I'm going back. I am getting good results, but I don't want to wonder about whether or not I'm going to have a problem after treatment. If I do return, I will be careful about what technician is treating me, and I will be checking everything. Too bad I paid in advance with the groupon. I purchased a coupon on line for six laser treatments. My first three visits were done by a very nice woman who explained the procedure and seemed professional. After that things went downhill. I had three different women on each of the next visits and they had a different interpretation of the package I purchased. They were doing a much smaller area than what was done on the other visits. Who was right, and who was wrong I don't know, but this shows a lack of training and no consistency in a clients treatments. The staff turnover itself would indicate that there's a problem at this spa. The last woman that treated me was extremely rude and wanted to argue with me rather than listen to my concerns about the variances in treatment. If you're considering laser hair removal, I would suggest that you do some homework and find a reputable establishment that has properly trained technicians. At Mint you have no idea who will treat you next, and what their qualifications are. A scary thing when you know that if it's done improperly you risk burning and scaring. Coming here was a big mistake. I purchased a voucher on Groupon for a medium area (Full face) for 6 sessions. Every other salon I have ever been to includes the neck in the treatment...after all, who shaves their face and leaves the neck out? When you get laser done on your arms, this would include your hands...and legs would include your feet...just as face should include your neck. I completed the questionnaire upon coming in and was surprised that the survey did not include a skin survey. Usually, well established and professional salons need to assess your skin type in order to determine the level of heat that your skin type can handle. Without this information, they would be starting everyone off with a low level of heat. For someone who has experience with laser and whose skin type can handle higher levels, these treatments would have been ineffective. The "manager" insisted that they were not going to do my neck in the treatments despite my attempts to reason with them. I decided to walk away from the offer and ask Groupon for a full refund. Oh, and hear this out....When I came in, I paid the $20 tax on the voucher. I asked for that to be refunded and she claimed they could not do that despite having just used a debit machine! How convenient! She told me that they would mail me a cheque instead...I will be going back there in a week if I do not receive anything within then. It was honestly a very disappointing experience. I read the reviews online only after I had made the purchase. Let's just say that Yelp reviews are a lot more reliable and true than Groupon reviews. I had had an awful experience today at Mint Liberty Village. I purchased 3 sessions of hydrfacials and this was my second visit. The technician was rude, rushed through the process and her dragon breath made it difficult for me to breathe during my treatment. Didn't even to bother to take off my makeup/wash my skin before starting the facial claiming that they "don't do that at Mint as they are too busy"(??!!) This place is very cold, both figuratively and literally. Let me explain: I bought a 1 year unlimited laser hair removal package for $800, and I was certainly not made to feel like I was a respected customer. This is disappointing especially because $800 is a significant investment for me. The receptionist is stern in her tone and routinely reminds people of the "rules" of the clinic, making the establishment feel very corporate and faceless. Even in the text message appointment reminder, we are told about the $25 fee if the area isn't shaved in advance. Being warned about a punishment after paying $800 for a spa-like service is just one example that illustrates the general lack of concern for making their customers feel warm and comfortable. The physical atmosphere is aesthetically appealing, but looks like a nice "clinic" rather than a cozy spa. The temperature is comfortable if you're fully clothed, but once you remove your clothes for your treatment and they apply cold gel on your skin, it's freezing. In regard to the effectiveness of the service, I have no other comparison, but after 10 sessions, I experienced about a 40% reduction in hair, which is less than I hoped for. I actually have been having a good experience at Mint Laser clinic. I too purchased a buytopia voucher on 2 large body parts (half leg, and full bikini). On my first visit had to pay the additional hst on the buytopia or group on. That's pretty standard with group on though so no surprise there. My first visit, I was not able to start my treatments because I was still breast feeding. I had checked that off on there history form. I was peeved I couldn't start first treatment (not there fault) but at the same time impressed they actually looked at the form. I was concerned about he voucher did my one year start today although I could not start the treatment. I was revealed when they said that it would start with my first treatment and just book appointment when I was done breast feeding. So three months later I was back and have since had two treatment. Your advised on the phone to shave the areas where they will do laser before coming. The clinic has a warehouse kind of look, massive high ceilings, exposed cinder block walls. Previous reviews have complained about it being cool. Well places like that tend to be hard to heat. I find the temperature tolerable. Treatment don't take that long anyway (30 min) so even it is is a bit cool its a short time. First treatment the technician explained things pretty well. Asked if I wanted to add any areas extra. I've seen there regular prices so no but I see why the would try. Also I would like to see the result of this first. I thought she was pretty through more on my bikini then legs but seem okay. After she advised me that to help it be more effective to avoid adding heat to area. No hot showers, or tanning. I spoke to some else who had been getting treatments here and had actually never been told that. So some tech do explain things better then others. Second treatment I got a different technician. Didn't explain much but this was my second time so she probably assumed I knew everything. She did asked me if I had any question though. I thought she did an even better job passed over my legs far more times then the first treatment. That could be because this was my second treatment, I don't know though. I would say I preferred her a bit more but really they both satisfactory. She also asked if I wanted to add anything and advertised they were offering 75% off. I think they have to ask or maybe they have an incentive if a person adds something. Any way both times took no offense to my refusal. I can see peoples point about wanting the same tech, being more comfortable and what not. I can't say I really care though. Also if some are better than others than if you had a not so great one to start well you would always have that person. It would make scheduling appointments more difficult too. All three times I've been there had a different receptionist. Can't say they have done anything to take much notice off. Polite and pleasant enough, schedule appointments based on my preference and there availability. Appointments 6 weeks apart booking. I'm having a good experience so far. I think maybe they have taken notice to the reviews and tried to improve (with bookings and receptionist). You can hear her bitchy tone in her voice when she answers the phone, and feel it even more when you go for your appointment. She doesn't even make eye contact. How would you want that to be the face of your business?? FIRE her she is loosing you so much business!!! They try to schedule your appointments as far away as possible so you don't get the maximum use of your "unlimited" for a year package. Great reputation you are building! This review is for the Liberty Village location. In short - don't waste your money - the laser DOES NOT WORK and the service is terrible. I bought a Groupon for one year of unlimited treatments. I have fair skin and dark brown hair so I should be an ideal candidate. My year is almost up and I've spaced out my appointments properly, only shaved as a method of hair removal in between appointments, etc. (i.e. I've followed all the rules) and I've seen no results whatsoever. I've spoken to the technicians and receptionists about this. They claim to be using the highest level on the laser and just make various conflicting excuses about why it isn't working. The service is also terrible. I end up waiting at least 15-20 minutes at each appointment. No one ever apologizes for these delays. The one time I was late because of the flash flood that resulted in roaming power outages and downed traffic lights, I called to let the receptionist know and apologize (she was very nice about it). The technician, however, was incredibly rude to me because of it. It's a nice double standard they have. At my last appointment I was actually kept waiting for nearly an hour. When I finally got in and I asked the technician whether they were having a very busy day, she said no. I then (politely) said I had been kept waiting for almost an hour. Her response? None--she said absolutely nothing. The bottom line is that I could tolerate the crappy service if I were at least seeing results, but I'm not. I went to a different clinic before that used a Lightsheer laser and it worked really well--in six sessions nearly all of the hair was gone. First of all, employees act like they are too good for anyone. I bought a package for full body laser for a year and first it seemed great. They claimed to not be able to book appointments for full body so i had to travel there twice a week. The information was all mixed up between employees as the person doing the laser told me to go every 4 weeks for upper body snd every 6 for lower body hut when booking appointments they only let me book every 8 weeks. Everytime i went for my appointment i was left waiting to be called in. The laser specialist never got the area of body right that i was scheduled for. My last couple appointments they let me book full body in one appointment and i waited for 30 minutes or so in the waiting area and was out of my appointment in 25 minutes. How does full body only take 25 minutes??? Every appointment seemed very rushed like they had no time for me. After paying big bucks, i still have almost normal hair growth. I know many people who have bought deals for laser who have recieved better service and have absolutely no hair after their year of laser! They also told me just to do their full arms took 25 minutes as a comparison to my horrible experience! read more

I'd like to give 3.5 stars as well. I had a good enough experience here.... I completed my full year unlimited for full legs and underarms. Results: great on my legs, i barely get any growth now. I'm pale skin and used to have super thick dark leg hair. I still get fine hairs after 3 days but they are sparse and so fine, you cant see them till at least a week in, and you can barely feel them. My underarms were only "halved" I think, same number of treatments, but their hair is much thicker I guess so would need more treatments. It never hurt on my legs, and only a tiny bit on my underarms. I love the machine they use. I got about 10 treatments in the year, and I booked my next one right after the current one, and it was usually fine getting 6 to 7 weeks. However, as I work down the street, I was requesting any random day or time available so that probably helps. The technicians were all super friendly and nice and knowlegeable. None ever burned me, they were quick and efficient and gentle and nice, and my nearly hairless legs speak for their skill. One issue was how much some of them try to upsell the promos. Always makes it a bit awkward having to politely say no a dozen different ways. The biggest problem, which has already been pointed out by others and is not an exageration, is the owner. She just doesn't have the temperment for customer service, and should stick to running the business behind the scenes. A simple request to make change for tips or seeing a calendar when booking another appointment was met with an angry retort or snide comment. Once there was a hired receptionist training under the eye of the owner, who booked my 5th appointment at the normal 6 week mark, and the owner told her right in front of me, quietly as if I can't hear someone 4 feet from my head, to book it for 8 weeks instead. When I asked why, she scowled at me and told the receptionist again, 8 weeks, ignoring me quite bluntly. The receptionist looked ready to cry too, I felt bad for anyone having to work for her, including the technicians. It's unfortunate, but a small'ish price to suffer through for access to good technicians on a great machine. I didn't notice the coldness of the rooms others mentioned, not any worse or better than other clinics for me. I also didn't care about having a different technician every time. For the past ~15 months I have been their client going there ~ every two months. Here is the main points I like to share: 1) I ALWAYS have been ABSOLUTELY HAPPY with the TECHNICIANS, their work, friendliness, helpfulness and professional behavior. 2) Almost every time I was there I had to wait some time between 10 to 40 minutes, never even a dry apology from the costumer service. 3) The costumer service is really bad, in fact horrible: 3.1) One of the receptionists is a tall thin girl with long black hair and a dog. She is very cold and treats you like you owe her something. She does not even look at you while talking. And she may isolate you in a room if you don't like her dog to touch you. Given all her cold and impolite impression I still rather not to complain about her as at least in my case she has always gotten her job done. 3.2) The second receptionist that I saw her only today is a short, I can say, brunette girl who, not only is extremely rude and unprofessional, but also obviously she has a misconception about her position. I had a laser appointment for four medium areas, that according to herself each area needs 10 minutes of time, so a total of 40 minutes for me. I called an hour before my appointment on my way and confirmed that I would go there. It was one of the very cold February days, I got stock in the subway due to an emergency and arrived there 10 to 15 minutes late. As soon as I entered she asked my name and rudely told that she would not let me in but she could rebook me. I told her that it was still within my time and I wanted to receive whatever service the remaining time would let us. In a rude and angry way she told me it was impossible and started barking at me. I told her she had already wasted 10 minutes of my service time. She told that it was my problem and she could not let me in for the 10 remaining minutes. I several times asked her the number of her supervisor and she refused giving it to me. Finally with a lot of hesitation she did it. I called her supervisor, explained the situation (and keep in mind I was still inside my service time). She was not friendly but told me that she would send a message to the receptionist and also her own supervisor and they would give me a call. 5 minutes later the receptionist told me that she could do me "a favor" and let me in to receive 1 out of my 4 prepaid services. I told her that when I had arrived there more than 25 minutes of my time was remaining and I wouldn't accept her "favor". She, in a very rude way told that she changed her mind and she took her "kind offer" back! I called her supervisor again and told the story. She told me that she could not do anything. I asked her for her supervisor's contact and she told me she "legally" she could not give me their contact. They may call me. I insisted that it was her responsibility to either resolve my problem or give me the contact of her supervisor. She asked me to hold for a while. Meanwhile the receptionist told me to "GET OFF MY PROPERTY"! (Your property??) At this time I was very angry and I usually cannot control my tears when angry, so I was almost crying, but I told her that I was talking to her supervisor and I wouldn't go out before getting what I was entitled to get. She shouted at me "GO OUT AND TALK OR I WOULD CALL THE COPS!!!!" I told her that I would not leave unless I'd either receive the service that I had paid for or get a refund. She told me that since I talked about the refund she would refuse "helping" me and again threatened me to call the cops if I would not leave HER property immediately. I told "your property? You clearly don't know your position". Meanwhile I was kept on hold by her supervisor. Finally the supervisor of her supervisor called her from another line. She was told that I would neither accept her solution nor leave and I was "over reacting". Apparently my tears were "over reacting". The manager asked to talk to me. She told that she could not have a better solution than what she had suggested before. I asked her to repeat it to me and she told "go in and let the technician decide according to the remaining time". I told her that it was not what the receptionist had told me. Finally, after a big fight and a lot of tears followed by a headache that ruined my whole day I went in. The technician did a nice job (3 out of 4 areas, and clearly she did not the 4th because she was scared of the receptionist). She also suggested me book my next appointments that I refused at the moment. When I was out the brunette girl had hidden herself and did not show up until I left. read more

I first tried the Bloor site with a Groupon. Since then the Bloor location has been sold and they are left with the Liberty village location. With the Groupon I upped my package - which was fine. Except for the lack of communication when the site moved. I had an appointment and came to a closed door! Imagine the horror. When I called there was an apology and I was booked in at the Liberty site. I was happy to see a familiar face and was assured the same technician would be working with me. I bought another package. Now I regret it! They were not consistent with my package I signed up for ... my fault for not getting it in writing! At the end of each session they try to sell me product, it is awkward! My biggest complaint is the poor customer service. The technicians know how to sell, but their reception needs training. I paid enough money to have a week in CUBA... and I get attitude. I've never been so insulted and treated with such attitude. The current receptionist seems oblivious to peoples feeling and she doesn't keep notes. Don't ask too many questions, she can't cope. If you do ask, she can get defensive! Amazing they are still in business. She should be trained ... if not on the product line she should know how to answer gracefully! I bought a Groupon deal for 1-year on 2 large areas and just had my first session done at the Liberty Village location yesterday. I was a bit worried about this place as I can see from the other reviews... Actually, when I first made my appointment a few weeks ago, I found the woman over the phone quite rude, which made me even more worried. She cut me off many times and basically just took my name, phone #, and areas for the treatment and then just gave me the time & date. So I was quite surprised when they kindly gave me a confirmation call for my treatment on the day before! When I arrived at the salon, I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist, who quickly confirmed my appointment. After waiting in the lobby for about 15 mins, a technician called me for the treatment. The technician was also very nice and she gave me a brief explanation of what she was going to do, what level of the laser pulse she was using, and also what aftercare I would require etc. during the session. She seemed very experienced as she told me that she was adjusting the laser strength based on my skin colour (since my arms are more tanned than the legs). She told me that I should start seeing the results within 2 weeks or so. I'll update my review again when I see the results. I got my arms and legs done and the treatment itself was quite relaxing with no pain at all. I didn't have any issues with them, and I even liked their services a lot! I'm assuming they have recently improved their customer service based on my experience with the receptionist who first took my appointment as well as the other people's reviews.. Next appointment was booked after 6 weeks. I was really surprised that after 2 weeks I receive a call that I should pay fee for not showing up today!!!! I wanted a full bikini but because I had previous laser work done, they said I didn't need the full package and sold me a level down which was great at the time ... however on my 3rd session the woman doing the treatment told me she couldn't do it all because I hadn't paid for the full so she would only do a small section even though I had hair growth outside that area. When I spoke with the woman who sold me the package she was very b*tchy and told me there was nothing she could do... but if I wanted to I could buy another package. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE? This is the worst 'spa' I have ever been to. The women doing the treatments are good (some of them anyway), however the staff is intolerable and incredibly rude. They make it impossible to have laser treatments done every 4 weeks and it is only AFTER you buy the package they tell you it can only be done every 6 (even though we confirmed prior to purchase to understand the value of the packages). Many appointments booked are not booked properly and you have to come back to finish a treatment (again delaying the next visit). Then they cut the visits short and reduce the total visits. A terrible place of business. The receptionist does not have any customer service skills. She thinks she can speak intellectually but that's not true. The attendants are rude and do not spend any time with their clients. They mess up the appointments always and then tell the clients that we should have called before hand to ensure there was someone there to treat their parts accordingly. Why make an appointment 2 months in advance if you can't look at the next day and see if you have the correct attendants in place? Wasted 3 trips to this place in the past year. The receptionist is flat out rude. They took my money for the year already and will not provide a refund which I had a feeling would be the case - shame on me. I hope that other people heed the advice and do not give them your money. They don't deserve to be in business with these attitudes. All the good attendants they had at the Bloor location are not there anymore. When they transferred clients to their liberty location they never brought their charts with them. Then they tell you they are being courteous by providing the remaining sessions when they don't have to. Say what? It's the same place. Same ownership. Same name. You have my money already. I think they've changed the receptionist, because I find them polite and generally on-time. I've never waited for a scheduled appointment. My issue is with the aestheticians. They are very uneven. Three times I've had a lady who does a very thorough job and takes about 45 minutes for arms and legs. However, she really pushes upgrades and extra areas. I explain to her that I no longer work in the area, it's very inconvenient and I'm just using up my sessions. She asks me where I work now, and then says, "That's not that far. Look, we can do the underarms right now." We go through this EVERY TIME. The other times I've had a Russian(?) accented woman who did the entire appointment in 15 minutes. She could not have cared less. And also pushed hard on the upsell. I think this place needs to focus on the procedures they have already sold and if they do a great job people will sign up for more. read more

I have been a client at Mint for about a year. If I had've written this review a year ago, I would have absolutely given it a totally positive review. The staff was lovely and friendly, the treatments were excellent and I had no complaints. However, within the last several months or so, there seem to have been some staff changes here and it is just not what is once was. I also think that because they have done a couple of Groupons they just aren't paying as close attention to customer service as they are just trying to get sheer numbers through the door to make money. Needless to say, unfortunately the staff is now rude and inconsiderate. I had always (for nearly 8 months) been treated on the Soprano XL and suddenly they were trying to treat me on the Duet, which I did not like. When I specifically asked to be treated on the Soprano the technician insinuated that I was stupid for requesting that and proceeded to be rude and rough in my treatment. It is really too bad that this place has gone down the tubes so much, as it was always lovely and clean. Frankly, laser clinics are a dime a dozen in this City and if you are looking for somewhere to go I am sure you can do better than here. read more

Be careful of this laser hair clinic! Not sure why they don't keep the same staff more than a few months but something is dodgy about this place. The lack of cleanliness over my last few sessions had started to really worry me. The protective glasses they ask us to wear always have finger smudges and make-up muck on them as it they're never cleaned patient to patient. they get us in there, then we leave and in goes another patient. I had my last laser session a few days ago, and afterwards I felt a horrible feeling in my stomach and so violated even that i had to tell a friend how odd it was. I'd never been treated by this technician before. she was brusque, and didn't even apply the gel that every other technician applied in my previous treatments. Then she started the wand and it HURT! and i told her this, but she kept going! then she started telling me that No, that doesn't hurt, look...(and she put the wand to her forearm, as if what! she was doing anything to herself! yeah right) she kept going despite my objections, and i was clenching my eye glasses so hard, and my face was sweating profusely - but she didn't care. I felt like she was burning/suctioning my skin! she even wiped the hair area and then smelled her fingers! which really made me feel awkward and uncomfortable if u new the area i was having done - enough said. after the session i told her the protective glasses should be cleaned because they're full of my sweat, but instead she tried very vigorously to upsell me for another $897 but a discount just for me for only $700! wow. Only a few days later and the hair is already starting to grow back! funny that i didn't experience hair growth after 4weeks previous to this! something in my gut was telling me that she actually set the machine to stimulate the hair, and a friend of mine who worked in the business for a while told me that those machines can do that! great! charlatans! don't waste your money here - they're terrible, not very hygienic, and even a bit creepy read more

Terrible place! I bought a laser hair removal Groupon and have had about 5 sessions with no results. I could accept the poor level of customer service and the unprofessional technicians if the treatments worked, but they don't. Their game is to get you to buy more treatments so they put the laser at its lowest level. read more

I hope anyone looking to spend their hard earned money reads this first, basically the old saying if it's too good to be true it is, well Mint Laser is just that, you see all these great deals but the results are just so disappointing, and if not worse than what it was before because they have to shave the area!! On top of it you have to deal with RUDE , unprofessional receptionist( dark haired Persian girl)...oh which by the way is "the owner" - load of crap! You can't miss her when you see her, I don't think she's ever smiled in her life...EVER .I should have known better when "her staff"( since she's the owner and all) talk so poorly about her and if you think you are going to get the same technician the next time you go in...nope, turn around is high. I have to say when I first started going, aside from rude receptionist, it was not bad but since opening it has gone downhill, it's not as clean, and they don't use professional cleaning to clean the machine, lord knows where the laser has been before it touches your skin. I would like to know what kind of training these technicians have had, if any??? Some can be very aggressive and they tell you NOTHING about the service, perhaps because they are not educated beyond pressing a few buttons...again that should be on the "owner" right?!! And beware of any coupons you see online, they will always make you upgrade someway because "oh the knees aren't covered in your full leg laser that will be extra" AND be careful of the "unlimited one year", you will never get enough appointments to make it worth wild cause they book you 8 weeks out and never book ahead. This place may have had potential but the lack of customer service, lack of training, high turn over, lack of results its going downhill. Always be mindful of why there are so many "deals" out...again if it's too good to be true, it probably is" Also note the owner has never responded to any of these comments, that says a lot too. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME and don't stimulate unnecessary hair and make the problem worse.. cause that has and will happen. My experience has been super positive overall at MINT. I have been going there for laser hair removal for about a year now - I originally purchased a groupon package and then bought a treatment package to further my treatments. The staff is very friendly and the hours make it convenient for my busy schedule. They are knowledgable and professional and my treatments are personally always very comfortable. read more

Don't go here! I bought a package for laser hair removal. I couldn't get an appointment until 9 weeks later. I spoke up and said this was unfair but they didn't care. The receptionist and the owner both hung up on me when I politely challenged them. The owner and staff are rude, unprofessional and basically run a scam. Used to be amazing in the beginning when they had a consistent staff. Now the treatments are rushed and I keep getting a different technician each time. The staff however is very friendly so I'd rate them high for that. I also find the place clean and a nice environment. I don't have booking issues either. This is the very first time I leave a review for anything, which goes to show that I just could not sit back and allow this clinic to continue their horrible practice! As many of you have done, I bought the 1 year 6 areas groupon package, and on my first visit I was basically forced into 'upgrading' WHILE I WAS NAKED on the table and the procedure had started already. I had my lower legs and brazilian treated because they told me that each is equivalent to 3 areas - therefore I had 2 areas treated, the upgrade for the area which I thought should have been covered under the 'brazilian' was another $199. Every time I came for an appointment and almost always I came early, I had to wait a minimum of 30 minutes, and the receptionist wouldn't even acknowledge it or try to explain why. I would have to remind her that I've been waiting and ask her what is happening. She was so blasé, so matter-of-fact, and even once told me something like "it's like a doctor's office, everybody always has to wait". Hahahahahahaha The place is incredibly unprofessional, the estheticians seem to be very amateur, uneducated in the field, I wonder if they are certified at all. I think I had over 8 sessions and really no results worth mentioning, on the contrary I have ingrowns like I have never had before! I don't think the machines they use are up to par or they never seem to use the right intensity. After every session I would tell the esthetician that I'm not seeing any drastic results, and would always get a rehearsed response, "well, you know...everybody is different"... blah, blah... If you're not doing your job and not caring because of the "groupon deals" then don't do groupons! If you believe in your product and want to have happy clients who keep coming back then do your job professionally and ethically! It shouldn't matter if someone paid $500 or $5000, do your freakin' job, commit to it! If you did, we would not have a problem paying $5000, but with your kind of unethical practice I wouldn't get zapped, not even for FREE! No words, just bad, bad, bad! read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had. The clinic is poorly run with rude staff. They are not willing to help, lazy and appear sloppy and unprofessional. Staff mixed up what I requested done and tried to charge me extra for their error. Staff did not inform me of ANY before and after procedures despite me asking them before hand. As it was my first time getting laser hair removal, I was nervous. Additionally, it was the first time I had purchased from Groupon. I made an error so that didn't help with my nervousness. The staff were friendly, kind & professional. Shanila, in particular. Not only did she find a way to put my worries to rest, she also figured out a solution to my Groupon dilemna. Avoid this place! What a scam! Every time I went here there are different staff and technicians. Not only does this place offer awful service to customers, but they are apparently so bad that they can't even keep their employees. This place offers frequent online deals that seem great, but then when you get there they make you pay more money for size upgrades, and refuse to honour the deal you purchased. Their staff are rude and condescending. And WORST of all, their machines offer NO results! I went 6 times and notice absolutely no difference at all. What a waste of money. Awful awful awful. They will try to up-sell you on everything. If you miss an appointment they will charge you $50, which is not discussed up front! The receptionist might well be the rudest person in the city. Stay away! Stay away! read more
