The landfill business is messy, stinky, and you are bound to carry the smell on you and your vehicle for a bit. So if you are one of those folks that don't do well with getting your hands dirty or don't like smelling a foul stench for the time you have to unload your garbage on to the landfill, then this place is NOT for you. Also, do not, DO NOT, do NOT go to the land fill on a small vehicle as you are bound to maybe getting stuck due to the soft soil of the landfill. I went on a Toyota Sienna LE minivan, tugging a cargo trailer full of 660 lbs of junk, and I was dreading getting stuck! Thankfully, I didn't but there were a few times I felt that my tires were not grabbing the soil of the landfill and they were slipping. Again, I strongly recommend going here with a truck or SUV, but then again if you feel like testing your luck and vehicle, by all means, go off roading with your vehicle and test your fate. You've been warned though. The Pros about the South Yuma County Landfill... It is very reasonable and affordable to take large bulky items and dispose of them here at the landfill yourself. You will probably save quite a bit of $$$ doing your own disposal versus paying someone to do this for you. For my first time there the entire process was rather simple, I had been dreading that it would be a very difficult process but it wasn't. First, you take your vehicle on a large drive-on scale, you get out of your vehicle and walk a few feet to leave a $30.00 deposit with the Service Clerks at the Outside Office Window, then you take your vehicle and you literally off-road for less than a quarter mile up a very steep dirt road (You will actually be ON TOP of the Landfill). Once you arrive at the top of the landfill, you will start to see, and feel, the soft soil and see a few employees working on Heavy Equipment up on top of the landfill. If they do not escort you, like I was expecting them to do so, they will tell you to back in your vehicle and start unloading your items onto the area where they are working on. This is the part where I mentioned that if you have a small vehicle that there is a good chance that you may get stuck on the garbage/top soil. The good thing is that the Heavy Equipment Operators have done a good job in cleaning and leveling off the dirt in most areas, with the exception of the top area of the landfill. Aside from what I have already mentioned, the entire process is messy, stinky, dirty, but simple! I took the family there too. So they could experience what it is like to be on a landfill, work on a landfill, and to dispose of in a landfill. They complained, but I feel it was worth them seeing and experiencing what a landfill looks like and feels like, and maybe they can learn a bit more about conservation and recycling.

We called the plumber that installed our reverse osmosis system. He never called back and I would not recommend him to my ex wife. Anyway I finally called Roto-Rooter they said they be out in the morning. This was after 6:00 pm that the water line broke. Roto-Rooter was here around 6:00 Am even though they said they would not be here until after 8:00 AM. I will recommend Roto Rooter plumbing service in a heartbeat!
