The restaurant looks clean, comfortable, which made me feel relaxed as soon as I walked in. The food was very good and easy to enjoy, even we are not familiar with Italian food. The dishes were well presented and looked fresh. The pasta was cooked nicely, not too soft, and the sauce had a rich and comforting taste. The flavors were balanced and not too heavy, which made the meal enjoyable from start to finish. The service was friendly and attentive. The staff were polite, patient, and helpful when explaining the menu. They made sure everything was okay and did not rush us, which made the dining experience even better. Overall, Claudio's is a great place for a casual meal or a nice dinner with friends or family. It is a good choice if you want to try Italian food in a comfortable and welcoming environment. I would be happy to come back again.

Was pleasantly surprised to be able to book a rezzie on their website 15 minutes out on a Saturday afternoon. Ambiance was nice, and service was crazy quick. Their menu had a good selection of brunch items with really reasonable prices. I ordered the smoked salmon Benny and was thrilled to see the hashbrowns were actually tots! When I say they were the star of the show, I'm not kidding. They were so perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and so soft inside and absolutely seasoned to perfection. There were also so many on my plate I couldn't finish the all. The Benny was just okay. Eggs were cooked well, English muffin was under toasted, and overall it was on the cold side. Hubby ordered the classic breakfast. It also came with the same perfect tots, his over easy egg was a bit over cooked and he wasn't a fan of the bacon. The focaccia on the other hand was delish. Soft and super flavourful. We had a 25% off coupon from the Community Values book which made this extra reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

It was quiet to start, but became pretty busy by 8pm on a Tues night. Our group of 3 shared the polenta, which was creamy and delicious. I ordered the seafood linguine, which had tasty pieces of squid but they were very tiny, and the mussels had a bit of sand. Everything was small portions, so definitely not an Antons type of establishment. Our waiter kept our glasses topped up through the night. For dessert, we all opted for the gelato and snuck over to the gelato bar to sample some flavours. Although there were set gelato flavours on the dessert menu for the day, we were allowed to choose from whatever flavours were being served at the gelato bar which was awesome.

My friend had The Flamboyant (mango, passionfruit purée, aranciata rossa), and I had The Diplomat (cucumber, basil, lime & cranberry juices, limonata). Both were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. For appetizers, we ordered the Pull-Apart Bread Roll (molasses, chili, garlic, Parmigiano, served warm). It tasted like sweet Easter bread--so yummy! We also had the Sicilian Olives (fennel, orange, garlic, extra-virgin olive oil, served warm), which were super flavourful. For our mains, my friend had the Pasta e Fagioli (tubetti, cannellini beans, rosemary oil), and I had the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare (aglio e olio, mussels, Manila clams, calamari). Everything was absolutely delicious--I honestly felt like I was in Italy. After dinner, we grabbed dessert next door at Dolce Amore Gelato, and wow... we both loved the Gangster Toffee Life. It's vanilla bean gelato swirled with chunks of their MafiaMade butter toffee. OMGGGG -- it's to DIE FOR!! I would 100% recommend Cappello Ristorante to all my friends and family. Can't wait to come back!

Food: 1/3 Service: 1/1…read moreAmbience: 1/1 For me, Time & Place is 3/5 - the waitress was attentive and the ambience was deifnitely what you would expect from a hotel restaurant - kinda quiet and cozy, with tv showing sports if you're dining alone and need entertainment - however let's talk about the food and drinks. For drinks we ordered Sangria, and it had the saddest amount of fruit in it I've ever seen. Other restaurants I've ordered Sangria in have a pitcher or container with lots of fruit to give it flavour. At Time & Place there were 3 super small pieces of strawberry floating around in the drink, and it didn't even taste like Sangria, just wine. For a place that is more upscale (read: more expensive) that is extremely shameful that they are skimping on fruit for their Sangrias like this. As for food - personally I found it to be super bland. Good thing the table came with salt and pepper so I could season my own food, which I will say that after seasoning it myself (a lot) it was actually quite delicious. I had the Miso & Spiced Honey Glazed Black Cod and the fish and vegetables were cooked well. Overall I enjoyed my dish BUT only after seasining it a ton myself, which in a relatively upscale restaursnt such as this I really shouldn't have to. So overall, 3/5. It wasn't terrible, but to be honest I think there are better options in the area for food that I don't need to season myself to enjoy.

Its tucked away on the 2nd floor and has a nice quiet ambience, not too loud that you can't hear your partner talking so its a great spot for date night. Our server was very friendly and efficient with the food service and she came by a few times to top up waters. Since it was happy hour, we also decided to try their truffle fries and let me tell you..... I don't even like fries, and I LOVED these fries! I don't know if its the batter or how they did it, but they were super crispy, not soggy, flavourful, and the truffle dip was delicious as well. 12/10 for the fries alone! For my 3 course menu, I chose the mussels (excellent, 5/5) beef short rib (tender, 5/5) and key lime pie (crust was a bit soggy, 4/5). Overall the portion sizes were very generous and the food was served at a reasonable pace. I would return for the fries alone! Presentation was beautiful. Happy to have found a new spot for happy hour or a date night :)

We choose a seat inside the restaurant as it was somewhat cool by the patio door, that was open. There is nice music playing at a comfortable volume. The room is nicely decorated and there is good spacing between the tables. It was very comfortable as the room was not noisey. We were given both a patio menu and the regular menu and we asked for the happy hour menu as there was still time left for happy hour. When we asked about the happy hour wine, one of the men, I believe he may have been the manager said that on Sundays they have bottles of wine for 50% off and he brought the list over to us. This was much better value than the happy hour wine by the glass. We shared an order of teriyaki chicken wings from the happy hour menu. It was a generous serving, and the wings were very good. For entrees my husband had the lamb shank with potatoes substituted for the risotto and I had sea bass. There was no problem with the substitution. My husband said his lamb shank was good. I enjoyed my sea bass. It was well cooked and there were 3 good sized shrimp with it. It was very tasty, but I would have preferred a bit less stock in the dish. For dessert we shared an apple passion fruit tarte that came with ice cream. The ice cream was a pleasant surprise as it was not mentioned on the menu. The tarte was good but we could not taste any passion fruit. It was a good evening. Service was good, the food was good and the room is very comfortable. It is good value for the money.

They offered to split our lobster bisque so we could each have our own. We've also tried their tableside salad and desserts before and enjoyed the shows. My toddler wanted to get a closer look. The ambience is moody with high ceilings, low lighting, and plush seats. There is a constant buzz of conversations around us to provide a bit of intimacy and privacy to our conversations, while also allowing our toddler to be just a bit rowdy without feeling like we are disturbing the other guests. Of the food, I love the mushroom side with the truffle fondue. I wanted to dip everything in it as it was so flavourful and delicious. Complimentary bread with butter and blue cheese butter were offered to start. The brussel sprouts side was also unique with the added pistachios and a crisp for some crunch. The hearty mussels and clams starter were great for a rainy evening. Portion was enough as a meal by itself, too! There is a covered parking lot for those driving.
