I have been a fan of this restaurant when I first discovered it several years ago and is a place I love bringing my non-Canadian buddies to whenever they visit Canada and want something delicious. This place is very welcoming, has great service, and has a wide selection of different foods. Now I know what you're thinking---with a menu this big, how can this place deliver in terms of taste and freshness? Well, I can assure you that each item I have had here including their burgers, steaks, spaghetti, and chicken parmesan have all been overly delicious and have caused my buddies to want to return to this place as a MUST when they visit. It is a little bit more expensive than average, but not by much. The service is fantastic, and a lot of times they bring us free appetizers to test for them which is a nice bonus and definitely gets me leaving more tips! I recently surprisingly got invited back here by the management after some years. I think it's under new management now and definitely had a much more pleasant experience. Our server was really friendly, I forgot what her name is but she was very kind and attentive and this time was very accommodating about my gluten intolerance. Kennedy, the day manager was also very pleasant and the food was also very good, so overall it was just a much better experience than what I had with my girlfriends years ago where I felt my gluten intolerance was completely dismissed and not taken seriously. It's been a long time since I can say I had such a pleasant experience at a restaurant through and through. Went for dinner last night at the Joeys Coquitlam location and will absolutely be back as a regular. Plenty of parking is available, just make sure not to miss the turn in otherwise you're in for quite a turn around. Upon entering we were greeted kindly by two ladies and offered a table and complimentary champagne right away. The table was cleaned perfectly and beautifully set up. After a few minutes a waiter showed up and helped us with our drink order and menu options. We decided to get items to share since we weren't too hungry. We ended up picking the steak with salmon sushi, spaghetti pomodoro, and the chicken wraps of course! Food came nice and hot and perfectly cooked within 15 minutes which is pretty fast considering it wasn't completely quiet in the restaurant that night. Our waiter was extremely kind and attentive, never found we had to flag him down he always just knew when we needed anything. The entire restaurant has a warm yet modern feel to it and was very tidy and clean. The restaurant was filled with a smell of home cooking and made me very hungry. Will absolutely be back for more! My experience when I dined yesterday (June 2) was not good. Typically Joey's hits the mark but yesterday that was not the case. Our server was clearly distracted by other tables. Everything was fine but after we got our mains she disappeared. We were hoping to get dessert but she never came by our table again, we waited quite awhile and then she took so long we had to go to the front host to pay. The other irritating part was that I had just gotten engaged (I did put down 'celebration' in the booking note when I made the reservation) and I was having a little celebration dinner with my friend so it kinda sucked that what could have been a nicer experience turned out meh. read more

The staff were friendly and organized while the restaurant was clean, tables were spaced apart and things were set up to follow covid19 protocol. The washroom was clean and only allows 2 people in at a time to minimize risk of transmitting germs. I ordered the Cobb salad, which was a substantial amount of food so the price was worth it. It consisted of a large plate of lettuce with egg, bacon, grilled chicken, tomato and Parmesan cheese. It tasted great. A friend had the grilled sushi, which also tasted good. I had a glass of wine, but found it a little pricey at $12 for a 6oz glass of house wine. Service was good and the atmosphere is pleasant. It's a good spot for food and company.
