We've been there so much in the past few weeks. They all know us when we walk in the door. Everyone knows we're in the middle of a move and too tired to cook let alone find the right boxes. Service has been absolutely wonderful. Armand was our server the last time in. Very nice, super service. We've also had Brock and Mark serve us. Food was delicious. We stuffed ourselves. Over the last couple of weeks we've had the mushroom soup, herb crushed salmon, rotisserie chicken and ribs, yam fries with lemon aoli ( I ask for it without the truffle oil, it's not my favourite) and a filet mignon steak. The food has always been delicious. I saw something go past and it looks really interesting. I asked the waitress who delivered it to another table what it was. She told me it was calamari and described what was in it. It's on my list to try next. I recommend Joey's anytime read more

While staying at Best Western near the restaurant I visited the place for dinner sept 25, 2016. My host was M/S Chloe. I am writing this review to appreciate how welcoming all the staff were and in particular how gracious and friendly Miss Chloe was. This was my third visit within the last four months as I visit couquitlam for business from Victoria. Every occasion, the staff and the servers have been excellent. This time I am taking the time to write a review mainly because of Chloe and her hospitality. She was friendly, attentive, had all the time to check my needs and selection, never rushed even though they were all quite busy. I had ordered wine and steak and sushi. This was the first time here for the three of us, we were celebrating my birthday and had an over the top experience. We loved the atmosphere and all of us totally enjoyed our meals and desserts, donuts & lava cake, yum! The staff was friendly and attentive right from our arrival but went out of their way when I realized I had lost a special piece of jewelry in the parking lot (my bracelet had dropped and a charm had come off of it unnoticed) but a car was now parked over top of it. We mentioned it to the hostesses thinking perhaps we could get a broom to reach under the car but instead Georgia jumped into action, grabbed her coat and got onto the wet ground to crawl under the car to retrieve it. I've been here quite a few times but this time was spectacular....ly bad. I came with my girlfriend during happy hour on a weekday, so it was quite quiet. We got seated in the lounge by our host: all good so far. Once we were ready to order, we tried to get the attention of anyone but everyone either just walked away or looked right past us! It wasn't even busy (tables around us were empty) and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get any service. I flagged down someone walking by and they said a water will be with us shortly - 10 minutes later we decide to walk out as no one had come to even greet us in the 20 minutes we've been there. Last week 10 of us dined at JOEY Coquitlam and had an outstanding experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a smile from the hostess and asked if we would like to have a glass of bubbly or non alcoholic bubbly. Shaelyn was our server and she ensured is from start to finish we would all have a fabulous evening. She was prompt in asking if we'd like to share some appetizers and if we'd like something to drink. All our entrees came out at the same time, the food was delicious and hot. Food is always good but I just wish the female waitresses were a bit more professional with their body language. They come off extremely rude when they just take your empty water glasses off the table without informing you or asking you if you need more water. They walk around looking angry and upset and customers see this. There's a big male manager that just walks around aggressively and stares down customers. Not too sure what his role is but he doesn't look too professional either. This place had the best customer service last year and not too sure what happened this year. we were 3 person to eat , my daughter order that steak and sushi , in the menu says $32.00 but when is saw the bill they charged me $55.00 when i asked the waiter he said we chose fillet and it is 23.00 extra . this place should fix the menu to be clear about the prices our total bill came up to $215.00 for a night out, unbleivable!!!! the food was small and supper expensive and steak is not a real steak , it is slices of meat in the bowl. i usually don"t write the reviews but this time i could not ignore. read more
