Great welcoming service) the lady opens the door a little bit enough for us to get an idea of when the next time the tailor will be in-- I was told I don't know when the lady will be in but try tomorrow.. I ask for the # or to take my # down-- employees response no I don't want it or do I have the tailors number??? My dad knows the person who owns the location so he asks to speak to the owner-- that's when the employee Finally let's us in after standing in the cold rain for 5 mins-- and miraculously the lady then walks over to the tailor booth and realizes she has a card?? Sorry but won't be coming back -- I've been in retail world for many years-- this employee needs to be taught customer service or the least mannerisms.

They have a Bengali girl that works there by the name of Sheila. do not go to her she messed up my eyebrows every single time I have gone there for some reason the owner will never want to hear anything negative about this chick. She will tell you that you are wrong but sheila is right. Hence she has made my eyebrows on even. For some reason the really good eyebrow artist I guess you call them end up leaving because Sheila cannot tolerate anybody doing better than her I guess. also a lot of the face polish material used is expired I learned that the hard way

I came across this other salon, which was charging $35. Alright, I don't want to sound cheap but this place was the most "affordable". (I usually get a wash and blow for $25 in astoria). The first time I got my hair wash, the service was okay. My hair was blown to perfection. I was very please with the service,except the hairdresser did not put 1) the cape on and 2) I noticed the brushes were being kept with her tips in a drawer (money and brushes, yikes!). My second time around, my experience was quite different (the price was the same). The hairdresser who did my hair last time was not in. I still couldn't get my eyebrows wet,so I decided to do my hair with who I believe was the owner. The cape was on this time. The brushes kept falling off her hand, and she kept picking them up to continue to blow dry my hair (major offense!!!!). Conclusion, I do respect pricing in each establishment. However, I do feel I could have gotten a better service somewhere else.

Luckily, Cherry was almost done with her customer when we arrived and agreed that we could stay for the service we required. She mentioned upfront the fee that will cost us and the hours that will take. My husband wanted a hair cut while I wanted a hair coloring and styling. The total price as she mentioned was discounted being our first visit to the place. I found her pricing reasonable. During the process, she was open to suggestions and recommended things what she thought was best for me. She suggested additional extra services to us e.g. spa , facials ,eyebrow threading which favorably agreed to the later. The pricing is bit higher than my go to eye brow threading place but I loved that while she was taking care of us, she was focused just on us and mentioned multiple times to walk in clients just to come back on expected time she will done with us. That is what you call great customer service. She handled my new hairstyle and color favorably well. I loved how she transformed me to a different look. The service she has given was outstanding. I will definitely come back. The place though is outdated. Needs a revamp for a fashionable look.

The washing part is nothing like the usual hair salons, it is basically shampoo and rinse. The cutting, which was supposed to be a simple trim, was not a simple trim. I got layers that I never requested and 40min worth of cutting. It almost felt like she was doing what she thought was right, regardless of what I requested. I like how the haircut came out, not going to lie the skills is pretty on point, but I did not expect the whole experience at all. Only recommend if you don't have a specific hair style you want, and not in a rush.
