This is my go-to salon for getting my eyebrows done (threading). It's only $4 for eyebrow threading! (FYI, they wax eyebrows as well which is probably in the same ballpark.) Lotus is clean and there are plastic wall partitions between seats; masks are required and there is hand sanitizer at the entrance. With regards to COVID, the only critique I really have is that the string used for threading is still held between the employees' lips. I accompanied my friend to another salon, and at this other salon, the employees wore masks that allowed them to loop the string through the mask itself, so that there's no contact between their lips and the string that's touching your face. That would feel safer and more sanitary. I've gotten my eyebrows threaded farther out on LI, and paid probably 3x (if not more) the price than at Lotus! I guess since there was no competition in the immediate vicinity, they took advantage and really hiked up their prices. Between LI and NYC, Hillside Avenue on LI is probably the best place to get threading done because the prices cannot be beat! read more

Great place for threading! I've been going here for 8+ years and they consistently do a good job with my eyebrows. This is my go to spot and literally the only place I trust. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and there isn't usually too much of a wait. The price is great ($4 eyebrow & $3 upper lip threading). Would highly recommend! read more

I've gotten my brows done here on the 14th of March. I'm so happy with the precision and clarity the lady had done for me. I don't recall her name; however, she was quick and clean. I've been going to Lotus Beauty Salon for sometime now and I have to say they are the best one stop salon! After going there for sometime for eyebrows and threading, someone from their team recommended that I get the Oxygen facial since I had some skin problems. My facial was great. I met Savy through Max Photo... she did my makeup for my engagement photo shoot. When I was first told that someone would be doing my hair and makeup I was relieved I didn't have to deal with finding someone. But I was also nervous because I didn't know if this person would be able to do my hair (which is really curly and super frizzy) to my liking. I was given Savy's phone number because I wanted to introduce myself and give her ideas as to what I wanted to look like. She was patient and gave me ideas that she thought would look good. The morning of the shoot she was ready and waiting for me on time at the studio. She took about 2 hours to do both hair and makeup. The time flew by because we talked the entire time. After that I had to find out if I could use her for my wedding. Because I looked amazing. Just this past weekend I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and she did my hair and makeup. And let me tell you I looked amazing. I got so many compliments and my makeup stayed perfect throughout picture taking, dinner and the 4 hours of dancing!!!!! My sisters also got their hair and makeup done at the salon with Tanya. They were so happy and pleased with their looks as well! Her staff at the salon were so sweet and welcoming. I took my daughter to get her hair done for her sweet 16th birthday party on Aug 11th. I was running late so I told them, they said no problem it will take only 20/25 minutes. My daughter showed a picture to the lady was going to do her hair. She started doing her hair but the women don't know what she was doing. There was two more customer was getting their hair done. Since my daughter hair showed them similar looking style I was not worried for anything. But after more than half an hour later my daughter's hair keep looking horrible. When I told her what is this a Bird Cage, she answered ahh the style you choose is a massy hair style. She couldn't fix it and she left I told the owner she was just rudely watching them that I can do better than this horrible hair. She said something in her langue and other two girl came to help and was still nothing better than before. Instead of 20/25 minutes as they said, they took almost two hours. None of them said a word no sorry no thank you nothing. I paid her full and left. By the time she came to the party hall her hair looked like she just took a shower. The hair came down like she had done nothing with her hair. They ruin my daughters SWEET SIXTEEN. We will remember rest of our life. I can call it nightmare, horrible but it still don't change a thing that she had the worst hair on the most memorable day of her life, very very bad. Today I went for my waxing ful arms , legs and under arm long time before girls were good but this time I wait for 20 min even my hair appointment I missed. Saw new girls I was surprise that girl act as if she is very professional n knows her work. But sorry to say she don't even know basics of waxing . It's 2.45 night I wake up from sleep my under arms r irritating so much as skin peel. . I did my under arms n full arms only . She was pulling so wrong n I show her how hair will come out. She was so so slow. If regular n chocolate under arm different price she didn't even ask me which wax I want n did chocolate o don't mind charge difference but atleast she should ask. Room was so unhygienic n dirty . Under arm she did sitting n just pull in one direction one patch I told her it's hurting . She said it's paper safe n all hair come then she pull so many patches I told her my skin sensitive but she said I m just taken out wax no hair so stupid answer. The service is absolutely terrible! I remember going there for hair and makeup along with 2 of my other family members for a wedding. The owner( the front girl who speaks clear English, idk if she is the owner) is very disrespectful! She was very unprofessional and lacked manners, she literally told me to keep quiet bc I don't know what I'm taking about and she mocked the fact my necklace was so much money like are you serious?The hair was a decent and the makeup was pretty bad, can't believe I paid so much money for it!
