I'm ngl the only reason why I still come here is 1. Local business and 2. They're the only place nearby that does Japanese hair straightening and they do that beautifully. Mind you now there's 2 people working, 3 if you count the daughter who washes and blow dries hair. So there's always a wait but I mean it's up to you if that's ok. Over all I'd say it's worth for Japanese hair straightening. Otherwise go somewhere else.

Then I made sure to get there by 12 because my appointment was at 12 I got there at 11:55 and they confirmed I had a appointment I said yes and I paid 15$ online and I wanted to get a haircut and they said ok no problem and let me sit down. At 12:30 the one lady took me and washed my hair. Washing: no communication where I sit She sat me in a chair and said to me about a wash I said ok Then she washed my hair which hurt her nails were long and she was rough. Then she had me sit in the chair Haircut: The guy Alex ham came over I showed him the picture I wanted mind you my hair was to my collar bone area and I wanted a pixie cut he went on about how it was short very short so short after he complained about that he then cut my hair. While cutting my hair he was all over the place and talking to the other employee I just felt like he wasn't really paying attention. Once he was done he took the robe thing off and used the blow dryer to get the extra hair off but left a lot on my arms. He also cut it a bit shorter than I wanted on top but that isn't the end of the world. After I thought a 15$ haircut I gave him a 3$ tip and when I was walking out about to open the door he then said ma'am you didn't pay I said I did pay online he said how much I said 15$ and he said no for your services today it's 70$ before tax so he took the 15$ and deducted it and had me pay the 55$ extra and the tax It was horrible unprofessional and not clear at all and online it didn't even state details on it just a women's haircut is 15$ very misleading they need to be shut down. So either I get my money back or I will take the complaint further. Horrible service and place don't waste your money, they rip people off.

Anyways, after searching my trusty Yelp app for salons in the area, I decided to give Dinorah's salon a try and I'm so glad I did. I can't speak for how they wash hair because my hair was already washed and I just needed my deep conditioner rinse out. They sat me right away, rinsed out the hair treatment, untangled my hair and did rollers. While under the dryer, a very warm and nice young man offered me freshly brew coffee which was delicious. After the dryer, Dinorah went to work on my hair. She parted my hair in about six to eight sections which was new to me and then proceeded to blow dry my hair. She was personable and inquired on my preference on the blow out. Though she parted my hair down the middle and not to the side like I usually do, I just went with because I wanted to embrace something new (my hair had other plans and diverted to the usual side part on its own eventually lol). This is a multi- faceted salon: hair, nails, eyebrows, lashes and I'm hoping they start doing facials. While I don't go there to get my hair styled or cut, I do see the ladies who walk out with a prideful swag, swinging their hair back and forth. The stylist assured me it was okay to proceed without rewashing. Initially, the cut seemed fine, but l noticed the uneven results.
