I had to get my blood drawn for a titer and the RN completely bruised my arm and failed to do so. Took forever for her to find my vein and keep it, yet she still proceeded to try and draw blood. It hurt as she kept trying to get enough blood and she took it out only because she saw the discomfort in my face. I understand she tried but this could have been prevented. Not sure if she is experienced or this place in general. It sucks since it has been a few days and it still hurts, and looks horrible. read more

MinuteClinic is a retail health clinic. Come here for treatment for Virus-borne illnesses Sprains and strains UTI Bronchitis (apparently this is a very common one) Lice (I don't even want to think about this) or services like Vaccines Physicals Ear lavage So, in my case, I needed my ears cleaned out (lavaged?) and I didn't want to go back to the urgent care clinic that I had previously visited. They were good, but I didn't want to have to pay for a physician office visit. That's the beauty of MinuteClinic. Here in CA, they are staffed by licensed nurse practitioners who are trained to treat minor ailments and to provide certain medical services. They can prescribe medications if needed. That's who I wanted to see. I lucked out, and I got to be treated by Le Chi Nguyen. The MinuteClinic website said that I would have to wait over twenty minutes, but I only had to wait about five. Le Chi was courteous and professional. My lavage even cut into her lunch hour (2-3 pm) but, unlike my experience with most physicians, she didn't try to rush my visit. I really felt that she listened to me and that she actually cared! The kiosk outside of the office says that you can check in on their website, but I couldn't find where to do this. The website does estimate wait times for all of the MinuteClinics in a given area, but maybe my ten minute drive time was included. They take walk-ins only. MinuteClinic is quick, easy, affordable, and effective. Of course, they take insurance, but my meager plan doesn't cover visits. Regardless, I shall return. Thanks, Le Chi! read more

Went for an immunization. Excellent experience at the facility. Modern and very clean. Nurse Practitioner Dorothy was Awesome. Deducted one star for their website and lack of capability to contact a live customer service person. Also, didn't like at the clinic's check-in Kiosk, had to agree to Terms, Conditions, Payment terms, and Privacy Notices. Why wasn't this available when I booked the appointment, which would provide a more relaxed setting to review "Legal" documents and download copies. read more

Need a printout or electronic file/ They sent us away without a paper copy saying they will be texting or emailing us, never texted or emailed results,now I'm back at this weird poorly run clinic with no phone number and one person trying to get a copy. I went here today thinking it was the best place for me to get my vaccinations for school. The DNP that was working was SUPER helpful, sat me down, looked at my insurance and then broke down how much it would cost me. She did not care that I decided to try and go to my PCP first to see if it would be cheaper, and rescheduled my appointment for a week later so I had time to consult my PCP. She was so kind and did not take a penny from me. I would DEFINITELY return to this location. Good job minute clinic! The NP Le Chi Nguyen is awesome at the CVS Minute Clinic on Baker in Costa Mesa. I came for travel vaccine and found her to be efficient, informative and a nice person. She reviewed my insurance to make sure it was covered and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. While I was there, she scheduled my return visit for my second vaccine. The day before I went to the Huntington Beach location with an appointment, waited for about 2 hours (after a 20 minute drive) and they closed before I could get in to see someone. I am with Alli C., I would DEFINITELY return to this location just because of Le Chi Nguyen. She wants to help you with your medical needs. And the clinic office is spotless. read more

I was coming in to get a physical and my TB test read for a new job, and this was my first time visiting a minute clinic, mainly cause I couldn't get in to see my PCP in time. I am so glad because I never knew how convenient the minute clinic can be. Much easier than driving all the way to my PcP and missing work. Le Che was great. I am referring specifically on its irresponsible response for COVID 19 testing. I needed a pre-cruise antigen test and scheduled an appointment for the testing at around 3 p.m today about a week ago. This morning, I received a text message that my appointment was cancelled due to temporary closure. I have since spent more than 2 hours trying to find an appointment but none is available for 2 days or tomorrow in CVS or Walgreen. The first call to its line, the responder could not hear me over the phone (after waiting 15 minutes) another call later I was told that no appointment was available in the next 48 hours. It just seems unprofessional and irresponsible to leave someone hanging high and dry without providing backup solution. My cruise requires a negative test within 2 days prior to departure and CVS cancelled me out within that time frame without consideration for my situation or time. Skip this outfit if you need to meet a deadline otherwise whether you get tested or not is like rolling the dice. read more

I needed to get a TB test done and this was the most convenient location. I walked in on a Monday, at around 10:15am, and was seen around 11am. I was seen by doctor Juan. She was very friendly and has great communication skills. I only have one complaint though: I told her that when I return in 48 hrs, I would need 1 extra copy of my results. Her response was "you could go make the copies yourself". Wow! When I returned to the clinic for the results reading, I tried using the "Hold your place in line" feature. It wasn't helpful because I checked in online at 11:41 and it said 38 minute wait. I got to the clinic at 12 and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes. Not too accurate, but the wait wasn't too bad either. I thought I would meet with the same Doctor but it was a different lady this time. Everything was smooth though, because this doctor was nice enough to sign my yellow immunization card and also make me my additional copy that I needed. Thank you, Doctor Nguyen! Overall, very positive experience. This place charges you $35 for the TB test and $29 when you return to get your results. Overall, $64. Very clean and organized place, easy to find, decent price, and decent wait time. Would recommend this place for a simple TB test read more

I came here and checked in there was a 63 minute wait because the practitioner had just gone to lunch. On the kiosk there is an option to be texted when you are 30 min to yo being seen. I went and did errands and when i got back the screen said i had a 24min wait. So i sat down maybe 2 min after i sat down the Nurse practitioner came out and called me in. She asked me questions about my visit and was very thorough. I received 2 vaccines and they were the best experience with shots I've ever had. She was so gentle. She showed me expiration dates on vaccines, and gave me 2 short forms to read about the vaccines i was going to have. I highly recommend going here and ask for LeChi Nguyen she is so sweet and knowledgeable. read more

This place SUCKS! Made appointment on line. Nurse came out after I checked in on time - and proceeded to empty a filthy trash can in front of me for over 5 minutes. A walk-in was taken before me. That took 20 minutes for her to read someone's TB test. Finally takes me back and argues with me that I cannot have a booster EVER for a vaccination that I was given 2 months earlier at a different minute clinic. The reason? It is "against CDC protocol to vaccinate people over 45 years old" ... seriously? What a load of horseshit! My husband was given that same booster the day before. This nurse found an excuse not to give me that booster because she didn't want to do it - she wanted to instead empty trash cans as slowly as possible. Don't go here! read more

Came here after work at 3:30pm yesterday and signed in, without seeing a sign that said they were fully booked with appointments and wouldn't take walk-ins after 2:30pm. I went to the local Minute Clinic after my insurance told me it was on the plan and an option since I couldn't get in to see my regular doctor for a few days. I went to see about getting some allergy meds. The experience was great. I only waited a few minutes, the Nurse Practitioner spent a good amount of time with me and was very through. I thought she was very friendly and I felt comfortable with her, more than I can say for a lot of Dr. I have visited in the past. She wrote me a prescription, actually electronically sent it to the pharmacy in the same building and then I walked out and picked it up, it was easy and great!! I would recommend for anything that is fairly simple to diagnose. read more

I went here as an early evening local option to have my toddler looked at... after regular pediatrician office hours. I was originally referred to my local Minute Clinic by my son's regular pediatrician. We moved out of the area and needed to find a local pediatrician. I work in the dental field as a Dental Hygienist and therefore I am leary of referrals to doctors as most people seem to base the praise on personality versus actual skill. And...I WANT BOTH! It was my second visit and my experience was consistent with the first. Each visit was by a nurse practitioner...there are 2 ladies and BOTH are wonderful. The visits were thorough and caring. Both were great with my son (almost 2) and the entire visit felt very relaxed. We are currently cash patients and the cost was well worth the service. The initial visit was more but the second visit was a very reasonable $79.00 I may be moving the rating higher in the future but for now I will say 4 stars for apparent knowledge etc and let a few more visits confirm what I believe is a 5 star option. They referred me to a local pedo office for future well checks....we will see....the saying " birds of a feather flock together" is definitely true about doctors. Therefore you can learn alot about one practice by what other practices they refer to and which ones they rave about. read more

I went back to this clinic after having a great experience getting a flu shot last October. My insurance, Aetna, made me go there with my son to get a free shot. On both visits I loved the Nurse Practitioner. Knowledgable, thorough, and listened very closely to me and my concerns. I was in/out in 10 minutes. On this visit, I had an antibiotic prescribed/filled at the pharmacy in 10 minutes. Total time spent for both the visit and picking up the medicine...20 minutes! Much quicker than the Urgent Care I have gone to in Newport Beach for many years. I will make a point to drive further to get better treatment, at less cost and less time. read more

I came in at 9:45 on a Thursday morning, not a single person waiting. Good start! Then I checked in and was seen by Le Chi Nguyen. She was wonderful! She listened to my explanation, did an exam, confirmed it was a sinus infection, and had me out all within about 25-30 minutes. I have been to this location before and have always had a good experience. Sometimes the wait is a bit long, but for a walk in clinic you need to expect that. The care received out ways the wait!
