His bedside manner was dismissive and unprofessional at a time when careful evaluation and clear communication were essential. I strongly disagree with the diagnosis I received, which delayed appropriate care and put my health at risk. The experience was deeply disappointing and eroded my trust in the care provided. Because of this encounter, I would not choose to be treated by Dr. Nene again, and it is the primary reason I will not return to the UCSD Emergency Department.

They never encouraged scheduling a phone appointment to discuss this change in further detail. The evaluation and treatment plan appeared rushed and lacked thoroughness, resulting in unnecessary delays in receiving appropriate care. Patients deserve accurate diagnoses, appropriate treatment, and timely follow-up. Unfortunately, that was not the experience received here.

I was prescribed and given a steroid shot in my arm which subsided the discomfort after a few minutes by 60%, or so. I was also prescribed oral steroids for 14 days & provided with a note for light duty from work for two weeks. Thank you for your concern, which in my opinion is/was misplaced, it would have truly been appreciated upon my initial visit which was unfortunately, not the case. I had several areas of actinic keratosis which Ms. Bowman carefully treated with targeted liquid nitrogen spray. She was very thorough in examining all my skin including my scalp. She is a pleasant and friendly person and I felt very comfortable while she inspected me for any issues on my skin. I asked to have a Complete Blood Count Test Taken so I can check on my blood clot that has developed in my right leg do I can find out if my Blood Clot has progressed and has increased and has gotten worse. This Nurse Practitioner was working at the front desk. She was very MEAN and not understanding to my very serious medical condition. The NP told me that she refuses to allow me to take a blood test at their AFC Urgent Care Center. I was mistreated by her with her bad attitude towards me. I told her my medical insurance company sent me over to her Urgent Care facility. Then she said that since I have not checked into their facility that I am not considered their patient. I said the reason I am not checked in is because I just arrived there by an Uber Driver and I was not told by their receptionist to sign my full name and to write down the date I arrived at their facility and I n ended to write down the time I arrived at their urgent care office. Again , this Nurse Practitioner said NO she won't accept my business. The NP forced me to call 911 and to request an Ambulance transport me to Sharp Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. I told that NP that I will never come to their facility again .

I was driving home from work on Thursday and my heart started palpitating super hard. Luckily, i…read moremanaged to get myself to the closest urgent care which was AFC. I told the lady at the front desk that I felt like I was having a heart attack. She immediately brought me back and 3-5 people jumped in and worked on me. They immediately called an ambulance for me to be rushed to the hospital. It wasn't a heart attack but it was an arrhythmia. Normal heart rate is 60-100 bpm, my heart was at 240 bpm!!! That was terrifying. When I was at the hospital, the doc and cardiologist said it was good I went to urgent care when I did bc they were able to get my vitals and heart scans to quickly determine it was SVT. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to the ladies at AFC. If it wasn't for your quick action and quick assessment, I don't know what would've happened. The hospital might not have received the info to determine it was SVT. I am in treatment now and recovered fully with a preventative plan. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
