When I was in the room with the doctor, he introduced himself and gave a bit of his history so I could know who I'm entrusting my health with. (I knew right then this was different than others who expect respect based solely on their title). He then asked me about myself and my life. Asked what my goals and expectations were. Honestly, I've not felt like my healthcare was a joint effort with a doctor as much as I have until this visit. I felt heard, seen, and valued. When we discussed renewal of existing prescriptions, he questioned the logic behind each and we came up with a me go forward plan based on what is safest and most logical as a Plan A, He even took time to check my insurance as we talked to see if the meds he discussed would be covered, to save us all time and headache. I picked this doctor randomly from my insurance list, but I now feel so lucky that I did!

I've mostly been to Dr. Busse but I've heard that the other two are just as great. Dr. Busse is excellent. Every time I've gone to get, I've felt like she really listened to me and took my concerns seriously. She also takes her time with each patient and seems to genuinely care about each person. Dr. Busse has also had training in holistic medicine so she can recommend natural and homeopathic remedies for various ailments. I really appreciate that and it came in really handy when I was pregnant and couldn't use a lot of medications. I have really bad allergies and she really helped me manage those when I couldn't use the normal medicines. The only bad thing is that you do sometimes have long waits but that seems to be pretty standard at most doctor's offices.

My 8 month old was still very fussy and pulling at his right ear on Sunday 5/3 so we brought him back in thinking that the medication did not cure his ear infection. He saw Troy Kaiser and he said he still had a right ear infection and called him in cefdinir, which is stronger. I took him in today 5/5 for his 8 month check up and his PCP was angry to learn my son was diagnosed with an ear infection when his ear is perfectly normal, no redness or irritation inside the ear. He had us completely stop the medication. Doctor's are supposed to be trustworthy but always trust your gut and get a second opinion- especially when it comes to giving an 8 month old unnecessary medication for an issue he does not have.

I was met at my car by staff who was kind, informative, and efficient. She asked where I would be traveling to in order to make sure that I would have the correct test completed. I never had to leave my car! Doctor Lovelace himself came to my car and performed the COVID swab and made sure to answer all of my questions. Fast forward to a catastrophic accident and she was there to walk the extra mile with me. A couple of years later, following a broken elbow, she advised me which ER to visit and then had a back-up plan if they were too busy to see me. Each time I go in for a check-up, she knows me and as we discuss the results of my exams and blood work, she makes sure I understand the significance of any issue. While the Practice is currently associated with Baptist Health, the people in the office have been extremely helpful, courteous, and proactive. My son is now a patient of Dr. Pendleton and is very satisfied with the professionalism shown him.
