Unacceptable, I suffered terribly after going here. Please read this…read more I had a small but uncomfortable red spot at the base of my nostril (1/2 size of a dime, maybe smaller) This "doctor" took my urine, after examining my nose and sdvising me to FIRST, fill script THEN, follow up with my dermatologist. She said I'll be back in a few to provide you with paperwork, diagnosis and script. Someone came in, one of the staff members and hand me a cup and said she wants your urine to be tested - I had no idea why or how this could be when we were just together and it was about my nose. I asked him what for? He replied she will have to go over that with you. So I did it. This doctor came back in and I asked why she took my urine and she said, I almost don't believe I'm writing this, I've run several tests for STDs. I absolutely lost my mind! First of all who the hell is she to question anything like that she would need to ask me some questions about my sexual activity, I asked her what STDs has to do with my nose she had no answer. I left there and for some strange reason since it had been burning under my nose I figured let me fill this prescription Huge mistake! I was then in a situation where I was given a VERY strong, dangerous ointment which resulted in a SEVERE infection - taking the entire side of my face over & according to my dermatologist exasperating anything that could have been wrong to begin with as well as causing this to be 1 DAY away from my bloodstream. Yes, I am filing suit. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

It's also one of the nicer looking urgent cares in the area. I've been coming here for about 3 years now, and it's the only one I go to!

I filled out all screening forms and uploaded my ID/insurance before I arrived. It helps me and helps them. The team was wonderful. From MA to the doctor and the Rad Tech were all friendly and professional. They listened to my concerns and treated me accordingly.

1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more My experience with CityMD has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The lack of communication, consistency, and follow-through is unacceptable. I needed a simple document completed by the appropriate medical provider, and somehow getting it handled became a major issue. I was left having to repeatedly follow up instead of receiving clear communication or assistance. Different staff members seemed to provide different information, which made the entire process even more frustrating. This is exactly the type of poor service and inconsistency that caused me to stop using CityMD in the first place. A medical practice should have systems in place to communicate effectively with patients and ensure that basic requests are handled in a timely and professional manner. If something this simple requires multiple calls, repeated follow-ups, and escalation to management, there is clearly a problem with the level of service being provided. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend CityMD. The customer service and lack of accountability need significant improvement

While he seemed knowledgeable, his bedside manner was lacking. There was no compassion there. I didn't feel comfortable discussing another important personal health matter with him because of his demeanor. At the end of the day, I had my physical done and that's what matters but it wasn't the most positive experience. Fast forward to two months later. I made an appointment for 9AM for my follow up. I arrive at 8:55. When I arrive there is one other patient sitting and waiting to be seen. As I sit down, she is called in for Dr. Sims. I wait... wait and wait.... 45 minutes later I ask the nurse if my appointment was for 9 or 9:30. She told me it was 9:00 but there was another doctor there and there were no rooms available for me to be seen. That sounded like a crock of shit to me because the entire 45 minutes I was there, no patients came in or out. At 45 minutes, I walked out. And I felt good doing so. I didn't like him anyway and I don't wait 45 minutes for anyone. My time is just as valuable and as precious as his and if this is how patients are treated, I don't need to go there. I am currently having my records forwarded to another doctor. Additionally I met with Dr. Imbornone (sp?) on one occasion for an upper respiratory infection. Again, a very competent doctor but no bedside manner whatsoever. Very dry, no compassion, very clinical. My infection went away with the meds he gave me but there was no connection there. He didn't even shake my hand. Again, I guess this is how the doctors are there and for some people, that works. For me, I like a little more.

I have always found him to be gracious and understanding. Don't get me wrong. He IS a doctor, so he DOES sometimes go into clinical mode, but....if you ask him to break it down into layman's terms, he will. He IS a doctor, and he is going to tell you not to do all of the fun stuff that you wanna do (What? I can't eat cheeseburgers everyday?) But, if you ask him to deal in reality, he will certainly do so. Sorry that you didn't have a good experience, Jen. I have taken off a star solely for the front desk. Sometimes getting someone to answer the phone is like pulling teeth. Edited to add the following: I remember one time I went in to see Dr. Sims and I was feeling particularly miserable. I must have looked incredibly miserable because he actually gave me a hug. The hug wasn't inappropriate or creepy, it was actually very kind. Kudos, Dr. Sims!
